  1. I can't ride a video, so who cares about that, What I care about, and it is something I can ride, is this awesome looking coaster! (and a cheap beer between rides)
  2. Coasterbill, you'll be happy to know that the cheap beer is even cheaper during the twice a day happy hour ! I know I was.
  3. Holy Cow, didn't see that coming. A major coaster is what the Kissimmee location needed. Now it's time for the Orlando location to get an adult steel coaster. This coaster looks soooo cool.
  4. One reason CP will not have a Winter Fest, the weather, hands down. My parents used to have a home on the beach between Huron an Cedar Point. In the summer, the views were absolutely fantastic. Watching the coasters, the fireworks over the lake while on the beach. But come November and December, man was it brutal. They never even used the front door facing the lake, only the back door. Using the front door required great strength to even shut the door because of the winds and snow. just my 2 cents.
  5. I found it sort of amusing while watching CEO Joe Manby on our local news tonight, He mentioned increasing competition from Disney, Universal and, get this, FUN SPOT! An odd mention/shout out to Fun Spot? Kinda cool in a way.
  6. Oh boy, would it be a thrill to ride a Calypso at night with the original backdrop of red hearts during the ride and music playing that turned white when the ride was slowing. Still one of my favorite flats.
  7. ^^ Thank you for that Tnttor.. otherwise this thread has gone all Linda Blair.
  8. This ^ At least the "kids" at Goats on the roof are OK.
  9. ^ Oh great, a tangent to start a new war. (but, yeah, Phantom's Revenge would be my choice also)
  10. Holy cow, this looks amazing. Poland has always been on my bucket list ( I have relatives there) and this just puts it over the top. Now I just have to get past the language barrier. The only thing my Babushka taught me were curse words. Might come in handy riding this thing. Oh well.
  11. Oh dear lord this is going to be a looong winter.
  12. This just in, Magnum has said you all have sunk to new lows.
  13. Give Michael my best. Cancer is a B***h but If it's any consolation, I've been there too and pulled through. Here's to hoping to see you here again soon and give your partner a hug from me. Best of luck.
  14. Airtime, my lil kids, jumping, beds, yeah I am totally down with that.
  15. Give the current political climate, I can hear a lot of cheers and jeers with the new addition to HOP during the show. I think I may avoid that one for a while.
  16. ^ amen amen and amen, and I'm not religious, but yea, the food is heaven. Pierogies, potato pancakes, Ceasari's pizza, Fried cheese, Fresh spun cotton candy as high as Marge Simpsons hair. Classic park food, but what's not to love?
  17. With all the ropes courses and physical interaction type rides, maybe swinging gyms will make a come back. I just love that old ride. They are a ton of fun.
  18. yea the sad reality of people today .( doesn't matter which age group or other type of group) there will always be someone who tries to ruin it for everyone else.
  19. I must say, this looks really cool. I know the park gets a lot of hate, but when we went we had a lot of fun. It helped though that it was a very slow weekend. The park reminded me of Geauga Lake in a way. Not quite the big leagues, but great for a regional park. We go there after we've done Kings and Busch for just a bit of old fashioned fun. Just some coasters and some flats, a few cocktails. It is what it is. Old time fun.
  20. Perfect candidate, Fun Spot Orlando!
  21. It's cool to see this park is still around. The first time(and only) I was there was as a kid in the late 1960's. Boy has it changed. Nice report.
  22. Last I heard, one of the paddle wheel boats (commissioned in 1967) Was bought and was to be put in use as a water taxi like boat on the Maumee river in downtown Toledo Ohio. Ok, I know that's not the boat you were thinking of. Here's a link to the article. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/News/2010/07/29/New-job-for-former-Point-paddlewheel-boat Also, does anyone remember when CP had a monorail ? The very first of it's kind as it was advertised. It was relocated from another park in ohio that closed. So technically, their monorail was built before Disneyland's.
  23. Thanks for that. I know it is just a rendering of what it may look like, and I am not usually a big fan of water parks, but this on has me excited. (plus it's close to home)
