Ok, I know I keep ripping on the park, but I still just don't get it! Either they had really low expectations or my views of my fellow Floridians are really going down hill! There just isn't anything that good at the park, I can't figure out what niche they're getting all of these people from! I'm guessing it's the scary central florida hicks that can't afford going to the orlando parks (no offense justin!), but it still just seems odd to me. No matter what I'm still happy for them...the better they do, the better chance we have of something really big and decent getting built there! Correction to my previous post...I meant supports, not footers. Ted, to try and gain some of my respect back how about this: I'd prefer a B&M flyer train on the Vekoma track layout! Elissa "damn flyers!" Alvey -

^It might not be too soon if they haven't released all of the details to the public. Maybe we're all right, there was a condition, case closed...and since that's not all dramatic and bad the news just hasn't reported it yet. Elissa "Still would rather have Horizons back!" Alvey -

I'm going to throw support to Ted and Shari as well. I really have to believe that there is some underlying medical condition here, or even like the goliath or indiana jones women, even something like a bad blood vessel that no one could have known about. This is sad no matter who's fault it is, but I also agree that just because a child is TALL enough, does not mean they are ready for the ride. For example Dallas has been tall enough for X for almost 2 years and we will still not put him on it! Elissa "bring back horizons!" Alvey -

Wes...I like you and everything, but I'd rather have a rocket coaster that works 20% of the time than another 'standard' B&M flyer that works 95% of the time. That being said if they were going to get some like 400ft tall flyer with 19 inversions...that might be a bit more interesting but still...I think I almost prefer the Vekoma flyers to the B&M's (I know, kick me out of the club now!) In other news, I believe I heard (from someone ) that there are footers in one of the overflow parking lots. Anyone seen these? As for the coaster going over in that garden area...I'd be surprised...but I think plesantly surprised! Maybe since they lost a good deal of parking to the Santa Clarita river during the January rains they had no choice but to actually build a ride IN the park! Great TR! I'm really looking more and more forward to our Dells trip! Does Hades give double rides like the other Dells Woodies? Elissa "glad you played it safe and pulled over!" Alvey -
Then I'll put your head on my body in that picture! Seriously though, the caption thing is really funny...but try to keep it to 1 or 2 a week.

Hey! Nothing wrong with credit whores. It's not like we "love" kiddie coasters...moreso when people ask us "have you ridden every ride at <>?" we can say "Yup", and then they say "You're a liar, you never rode that coaster just for kids!", we can say..."I stole a kid and got the credit!"... Anyways, those lower and upper back tattoos were pretty hot! I'm reminded of that SNL commercial for "lower back tattoo remover". Glad you had fun and your drives were worth it! ^^I just don't like anything on their menu! Remember, I'm pretty annoying and pathetic...when it comes to food! I'll eat frostees there, but no real food, in fact, let's do an "Elissa's Fast Food Line Up and What I Eat at Them!" McDonalds - Hamburgers and Fries Taco Bell - Beef Burritos, no onions...Nacho Chips Jimmy Deans - Cheese Quesadilla Burger King - Chicken Tenders Wendy's - Frostees KFC - Biscuits Hardees - Nothing Carls Jr. - Nothing Checkers - Nothing Chick Fil A - Nothing Jack in the Box - Nothing Del Taco - Nothing Arby's - Nothing El Pollo Loco - Nothing Any others? Elissa "I know, I'm weird" Alvey -
Ugh... While I didn't believe *everything* the boy and his money seeking mother had to say, obviously there is something seriously wrong with Michael Jackson and he should have at least had to pay some fines or community service. We all knew he wouldn't see the inside of a cell, but come on! This really just, ugh, I don't know...are we teaching everyone that if you have enough money and a killer defense team you can get away with let's see: Murder, Molestation, and More! I think the other thing that annoys me is that people like Martha Stewart do have to actually serve time for what in my eyes is a much less severe crime! (a crime that many men have done and not seen any jail time...but that's another thread!) All in all, what do you expect from 14 men and women too stupid to get out of jury duty! Elissa "wants to be called for jury duty!" Alvey

Eh, I'll respond again... your favorite park - A few depending on the definition of 'favorite' and 'park', IOA, Knoebels, WDW, Europa Park, Tokyo Disney favorite coaster - Expedition Ge Force favorite flat-ride - Depends on your definition...probably Blue Fall, although that's a 350' Free Fall so it ain't flat! Wood or steel? - Steel, most of the time Lift-hill or launch? - Depends on the ride...I like launches A LOT, but there's also something to say about a minute long lifthill climbing 200+feet. Do you prefer hypers, where you do hills and helixes with lapbars, or do you prefer inversions? - I'm actually getting more and more into non-inverting rides. Europa Park is one of my favorite park and they don't have a single inverting coaster! What s your favorite gimmick hyper, inverted, floorless, etc.? Launched or hypers coasters are my favorite 'genre' for the next 14 minutes or so. Elissa "my opinions mean nothing! " Alvey

It was a certain picture, from a certain park that crosses a state line, that EVERYONE has already seen and commented on! Plus, I think we should limit the caption game to one per week! Elissa "now everyone is going to go search for the picture!" Alvey

I should point out that when I say "rain every day", I mean it will rain for at most 1 hour every day, usually in the late afternoon. This is not like England or California rain that comes and stays for like 2 days straight! Also keep in mind that the Florida parks are very used to the weather and operate quite amazingly! For example we saw a really bad thunderstorm roll in at 8:40pm at Epcot a couple of weeks ago. I'm talking hail, rainfall rates of 2''/hour and lightning striking all around...so what did Epcot do...kept the park open late, waited for the storm to die down, and at 9:20 (only 20min late) put on the Illuminations nighttime show. Elissa "GO TO DISNEY! It will be fine!" Alvey

Ok, first off I changed the 'sub-title' since this is not even remotely Intamin's fault! Secondly, I'd like to know how she 'really' hurt her wrists. This sounds like a pretty pathetic injury! Lastly, the mother wants the height restriction raised!?!? To what? Her daughter was 12!!! If a 12 year old can't ride a ride who can!?!? Elissa "glad to see that stupidity and lawsuits seem to be spreading outside of the USA!" Alvey -
^Whoa! 85 Celcius! That's pretty hot! Seriously though, the weather is going to suck! It's going to be 92 degrees and 95% humidity. It will rain EVERY day. That being said, you will still be able to do everything you want! Get there for opening, when it gets to unbearable leave, then come back after the daily 4pm thunderstorm and it will be cooler and less crowded. Elissa "it's not the heat, it's the humidity...well, actually it's both!" Alvey
-
Honestly, it's the pefect "starter" hyper coaster for you! The angle of the drop is VERY shallow. Whereas the arrows/morgans/B&Ms/Intamins have those sort of parabola airtime inducing drops, Goliath just sets itself at like 60degrees and produces very little of the extreme airtime you'd expect to get. If you're still concerned, ride towards the middle of the train and look at all of the 7 year olds next to you riding! Elissa "silly goliath!" Alvey
