  1. Yeah, I chose to go to White Water over the Aquarium...I'll wait till the Whale Sharks get a bit bigger, but then I'm really excited to go!
  2. Flashpass costs $15 ($20 on Saturday's and Holiday's) It gets you on 4 Rides. They have the right to change what it's good on, but normally it's good on: Tatsu Riddler Revolution Viper Scream Colossus Roaring Rapids Tidal Wave Log Jammer It is NEVER good on X. You can purchase as many as you'd like. They say that they sell out, but I've yet to see that. (money talks!) Hope this helps.
  3. ^That's actually a bit disappointing. I'm wondering if maybe they're giving a bit more effort this year to getting it back at Universal Hollywood??
  4. Erik, It's cool, we know you're a good guy. We just don't want people to go out and try to break the ride. Have fun with the flyers, but don't try to hurt the nice ride!
  5. Happy Birthday! Here's to many more Splash Mountain Rides!
  6. Sue, I also see where you're coming from. We had two couples and one single person at our wedding NOT give us anything. Again, you can't say anything, but it is pretty lame. No card, no nothing! We understood that this was a 'destination' wedding, but all of these people either travelled from within Florida, were going to be in Florida, or were very important in the wedding! As for the no show...yeah 12 hours before the wedding we had a family of four cancel...that was over a $600 cost right there! LAME! Don't let it get to you too much...I'm sure you had an awesome wedding and a cool new dude!
  7. ^And with that statement, Wes is officially the coolest of all of us. (Like we didn't know that already)
  8. ^^Just saw that article! Very interesting. Not just a loose board, a structural problem. It will be interesting to see what happens with this. Those RCCA Woodies are not well made and have several JOLTS in them, I'm surprised it took this long for a big problem to happen.
  9. Robb's list isn't in order until #521 So I'll go from there, unless he has another list on his computer somewhere! 521 Xcelerator Knott's Berry Farm 600 Face/Off Paramount's King's Island 700 Dragon Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix 750 Colorado Adventure Phantasialand 800 Angel Coaster Harmony Land
  10. 1?? Matterhorn Disneyland 100 Kraken Sea World Orlando 200 Laser Dorney Park 250 Twister Knoebels 300 Mad Mouse Lakemont Park 400 Shockwave Six Flags Over Texas 500 Little Dipper Castle Park 600 Teeny Weeny Tusenfryd 700 Jungle Mouse Hamanako Pal Pal 750 Spook Express Joyland
  11. That 'Girls of TPR Calendar' is looking more and more a possibility!
  12. We can all joke! It's these kids that don't quite get it that cause the problems!
  13. ^We're going to send yours out last, and it will probably never even arrive since you'll give us a bad address! A friendly reminder... We are at home right now, working hard on this all weekend and then we get to go to our 'normal' jobs tomorrow. They are shipping out, that's all I will say. Thanks for your patience!
  14. LOL! I find this all amusing! Grab all the photos you can, I think it's interesting seeing the track have to travel across the country!
  15. Actually it was kind of funny that there were so many. In 2002 I think we only saw 3 the entire trip, now there were multiples ones at each park! Kind of figures, it's dying off in the US so now the Brits pick up on it!
  16. http://www.coastersandmore.de/rides/eas06/eas06e_1.php Go almost all the way to the bottom. Picture a cross between the Intamin Impulses, X and the X-Cars.
  17. Derek! Were you at the FLCC meet at Old Town like 5 years ago where we all rode that Mixer death trap thing and I could get out of my restraint?!! I thought you were there too and we both were demonstrating how safe that ride was! Nice TR! I'm kind of confused by this whole L&T doing decent midsized rides thing!!!
  18. Interesting timing with these premier wheel assemblies. I mean, these are just machines, that have not been tested long term.
  19. I only hope it can get Dan as wet as the water coaster!
  20. Hmmm... I guess I'm going to have to go against everyone (I know, big shock!) but to me the ride looks REALLY similar to X, much more than I thought it would be. Also, don't know if it was the filming or not, but it already looks almost as rough as X is now...not as smooth as I thought it could be at least when it opens. Well, I guess I'll find out next summer!
  21. Actually I believe the reason wouldn't have anything to do with staffing. Think about it, if the park were open year round and could offer full time work you'd have a lot more adults willing to work so staffing would not be an issue. I believe the reason you'll never see parks in the US open like they are in Japan is because of liability. Think about it, I almost killed myself like 4 times on ice and snow. The part of the video where you hear me say "I almost died" was because I fell down 4 steps that were icy! Now if I had fallen and hurt myself, I would have laughed and known it was my fault. Most Americans however would have sued the park for everything and anything!
  22. Yeah, Disneyland is 65 miles from SFMM. We've discussed this to death, it is nearly impossible to get between the two on public transportation. As for walking between Timber Falls and Mt. Olympus, yeah...don't do it! It's farther than it looks.
  23. ^First off, it's really not that outdated. The Japan parks do not update very often. In fact from our last visit the only new things at parks are the X at FujiQ, a kiddie Coaster at Yomiuriland, and the Rocket Coaster at Space World. If you want more photos you can look at our most recent Japan update: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21216
  24. HA! I told you the Arrow ride was bad!!!
  25. ^^I'm guessing that 'length' will be a key feature of the ride!
