Of course we have 'connections'. Now granted in the past some of these people claim to know more than they actually do, but what CP is getting sounds like CP so we'll see in a few weeks when the announcement is made. I'll tell you, I'm not overly excited.

Why should we have to change to deal with people that are doing the wrong thing? I hate that the majority of people have to change stuff to accomodate a few bad apples.

I agree with everyone else. Do SFKK and Beech Bend one day and Holiday World the other. Keep in mind other than the Coasters and the Water Park, there's not that much at Holiday World.

If you bring a Coca-Cola can to the park you will be able to buy one ticket at regular price and get one free!

Again, I see this as just a bad timing issue. Money talks, and I'm sure that Alton Towers will make a lot more out of a Corporate Buy Out of the park, then a 50 person wedding. Again, having had a theme park wedding we pretty much had to sign our life away. We did an event at Epcot that we were told could be cancelled or we could be bumped to a crappy location up until 60 minutes before the event! We paid the $2500 and signed the contract knowing this. (luckily everything worked out) I do believe that Alton can at least try and arrange something with the wedding party, as I know Disney did during the Pink Castle Fiasco! (Couples were allowed to choose alternate locations for their photo shoot, or got a discount). Realistically $10K is NOT a lot for a wedding, so I don't think that should play a big part in this discussion either. Alton towers may look like the bad guy here but they didn't do anything contractually wrong, and they did what was good for the park. As a Business school grad, I can't argue with that!

^Yeah, but don't forget Park City is an expensive resort town, and this is the newest biggest alpine coaster in the country. There's a lot of cool summer stuff at Park City now, time to take a trip there NOT during the Winter for once!

One thing doesn't seem quite clear. Is it a private buyout, or is the park open to the public that day? If it's a private buyout and the group was going to be nice enough to let them in, then yes, they should have to follow the private groups rules. If it's a public operating day then they can't enforce those rules. Too me it seems like bad timing but nothing else. They paid $10K to have a wedding on Saturday at the Alton Towers hotel. They're not paying to have the wedding IN the park the following day. Alton Towers didn't do anything wrong by booking the park for another day!

Thanks for the update...I really love Shakira so I'm curious to see how this one turns out!
