  1. ^Yeah, but Dubai was always known as the 'las vegas' for the arab countries/people. Saudi Arabia is the real deal and unless they get a LOT more lenient many of us will have trouble visiting there. I agree though, it's their country and people should support or hurt them with their money as that's what this all boils down for. And if you're a real credit person and you don't want to support them, try to go for as cheap as possible! Or make a donation to a womens or gay rights association to offset your trip. There are good karma options out there! I'd be interested to visit Saudi Arabia as it's a very strange country but has some amazing sites (not including the theme parks) but as a woman, of course many of their policies hurt and offend me.
  2. Yeah, I don't think money is the issue here, but I still don't know how/why this would happen!?!? I will wear my conservative clothes and tie down my head covering for a new intamin coaster like this though!
  3. I didn't realize he was so old. He did a lot for the industry. Sorry for his family.
  4. Weird press release to bring up that they've had fires before!?!
  5. ^It depends on the ship and homeport, but usually the longer the voyage the better on Carnival. If you've never cruised before Carnival can be a good 'starter' company and then you can see what some of the others offer. If you hate it, don't blame cruising, try another line first!
  6. ^I could see them closing again for a few weeks after the holidays. I hope not, but this is just crazy times!!!
  7. As others have said I would NEVER do a 2 night cruise. I don't even like 3 night ones! I would recommend a 4 night for your first cruise for a couple of reasons. 1 - 4 night cruises are typically a less crazy crowd. 2 - 4 nights are often cheaper than 3 nights because they're during the week. 3 - You need 4 nights to really get the feel for a cruise.
  8. We should all enjoy this while we can...these temps so far this 'winter' in the US are crazy hot!
  9. I'm so torn because I LOVE SDC so much and really need to get back, but I also would like them to get their operations back to where they were pre-pandemic before we go. I would cry waiting in line with my cinnamon bread getting cold! Great TR! Thanks for sharing!
  10. ^Does your son have his own account or do you 'manage' his account? Anyone with their own account can link up, but if it's a managed account you cannot.
  11. Whoa whoa, no...not like 'every other coaster'. Unless every other coaster is Dragster, Deja Vu, Hang Time...
  12. Ooo Exciting!!! Thanks for keeping us updated.
  13. Your amazing Photo TR reminds me of a very depressing article I read that talked all about how travel was going to prove more and more difficult due to global warming. Basically, screwed up weather and bigger meteorological disasters are going to screw over air travel and making plans and anything outdoors in our lifetime. So yeah, get ready for more disappointment I guess!!? Thanks for taking us along!
  14. Ok...here's my list: https://coasterpoll.com/u/sharktums/rankings?shared I was actually surprised to see I had added 20 new coasters this year. That's a lot considering the whole global pandemic and no international travel!
  15. Random weekday in early May? You only want to do Hagrid's and Velocicoaster? You can easily do that and then head to Sea World.
  16. Just getting caught up and this is such a great report! Love all the family pix and the comparisons from four years ago! Glad you had so much fun!!!
  17. This is pretty exciting news! Was getting a bit worried this park would become less and less park and more and more zoo but with Kawasemi and now this, it's looking better! From Google Translate: Water wooden coaster Regina, 2000 year 3 Tsuki 18 days, then opened as the world's first water wooden coaster, but we have been familiar to many of our customers, 2019 aging of the vehicle is recognized in the summer of periodic inspection Therefore, the business was closed at the end of the inspection period. The customer's reaction to the sudden closure of business was very large, and on SNS etc., there were many voices wishing for a revival, along with voices of regret and gratitude. In order to meet this expectation and revitalize the amusement park, we have been promoting a Regina renewal plan that makes use of the existing track since the end of business. For the renewal, the area theme is "Steampunk * 1 ", a world view derived from the keywords "revival" and "development", and we will introduce new vehicles, enhance safety, and decorate the exterior. The new vehicle will have a capacity of 24 people ( 1 organization: 2 people x 12 vehicles), and compared to the previous vehicle ( 1 organization: 4 people x 7 vehicles), there will be more connections and smoother driving will be possible. In addition, we will install an auto gate on the platform to welcome customers safely and provide smooth guidance. And Regina's charm, such as the thrill and speed of running through the wooden frame, remains the same, and you can enjoy a steampunk world view that feels nostalgic and new. Please look forward to the new Regina that will start running again in the spring of 2023 .
  18. Doesn't SeaWorld/Busch have a trademark on the "Anticipated" word!?!?
  19. Flight Deck is out there celebrating that it's no longer the worst coaster name ever!
  20. The food locations at this park have always been weird operationally. Like even during summer season they're not always open or only open like 12-3. Glad you had a good time, great report!
