  1. No freaking joke. Hersheypark's system was always the worst. So glad they've gotten with the program, like Kennywood (which, yes, used to be similar, but ultimately had several points in its favor over Hershey). Only downers from where I sit (no pun intended): the seating assignments, if they continue, and, as mentioned above, the merge points. Even though I'm strongly opposed to limiting choices for line-skippers, I'd even settle for "any seat except front [or back]," as opposed to having a middle row blocked off.
  2. Again, even if it's actually light gray, the whitish look really gives it a classic feel. I'm super enjoying these bold and nontraditional track colors RMC is doing, too.
  3. Silver Dollar City is a family-friendly park.
  4. That's horrible but great but mostly horrible. But also great.
  5. I have just discovered (Manischewitz) blackberry wine. I feel like I should be gritting sugar between my teeth, because this tastes exactly like when you pour an entire thing of sugar into your cup of coffee, except without the coffee. It's also setting off major alarm bells, because something this strongly flavored that contains alcohol just screams "full-money-back guaranteed ticket to vomiting later" (hi, Fireball!). On the other hand, this is kind of what I secretly wish all wine tasted like.
  6. This and this. Like, I kinda like the idea of copying popular clothing designs; for those of us who like both coasters and clothes, "trendy" park or ride merch sounds like a match made in heaven. Sadly, it's pretty rare that I'm actually impressed by the results, because of...exactly what you said.
  7. ^^/^It's exceedingly rare that I, a well-established coaster enthusiast, come into a coaster forum thread and feel like people are speaking a different language. And yet I don't think I've heard of any of those rides. Just another reason I always have RCDB open.
  8. ^Wow. I had my suspicions, to say the least, but Six Flags really does think their clientele is dumb as a bag of rocks. No mentally-typical person of (or anywhere near) pass-purchasing age needs to be informed that "more expensive" means "higher priced." That's just actively insulting. Wait, they didn't explain what "less expensive" means. Does less expensive mean lower priced?
  9. Beginning of this year was the last time...I worked for six straight weeks with only two days off total. Yes, total, not "extra" or anything, total-total. Weird hours some days, but luckily I hit overtime every week. When was the last time you ordered pizza?
  10. Mondial Shake in a theme park, awesome! They're one of my top flat rides. While it'd be nice if Breakdances were a little more common, this is a worthwhile upgrade in my book, if it's run the way I'd hope it is. Edit: the above video has instigated some serious reflection with regards to my life decisions up to this point, specifically why none of them have led to my attendance at even one (1) European fair.
  11. Diamondback opened the day after I joined TPR! Crazy how it both does and doesn't seem "new." I wasn't expecting to have particular feelings about the new seats, but I like 'em.
  12. Curly French fries or potato chips?
  13. ^^^That is one of the greatest pictures ever. And at first, I didn't even fully process that it was a new SV photo--I just saw it as a fantastic CP/coaster shot. Image saved for, um, future use (wallpaper, that is).
  14. Dipsy Doodle
  15. That layout tho. Looks almost impossibly packed. Can't stop admiring it.
  16. What's the deal with the Fairy World concept, anyway? Seems like an odd choice, unless it involves some kind of brand/characters. Yet I'd also be interested to see what a Six Flags fairy dark ride would be like.
