  1. I know these are supposed to be construction pics, but it's hard to concentrate on that when I keep getting distracted by those sexy Behemoth humps.
  2. This is cool, but it'll be hard to beat the vaguely creepy, yet weirdly-actually-good Thomas dark ride at FujiQ.
  3. A brass ring carousel is basically a carousel thrill ride. Which, yes, sounds like an oxymoron/not possible (unless you've ridden the Rye Playland Derby Racer or a randomly super-fast regular carousel). Even if I miss the brass ring I still feel nervous with anticipation trying to grab as many steel ones as I can manage.
  4. Damn. That's some exciting news. I don't recall hearing great things about Robin Hood--I suspect I would've enjoyed it somewhat, but it never would've sold me on the park (there's Goliath for that). Now, though?
  5. That is one spiffy-looking new coaster.
  6. Kiddy Hawk. It's still terrible, but at least it has some non-painfully-obvious cleverness to it. Coffee shop or home coffeemaker?
  7. White wall plate to replace a hideous, lady-parts-looking phone jack. $0.25. (I have a ton of replacing to do, but I need to count up what I need, and I'm not looking forward to the [admittedly simple] electrical work.) Remnant of a non-slip mesh mat, to prevent furniture migration. $1.
  8. That's definitely on the creative side for a dark ride story and theme; sounds like a great update!
  9. ^I was baffled until I saw that was posted yesterday morning. Duh. Looks good!
  10. Disappointing that those Premier coasters failed, but Intamin replacements seem like a good trade. Also, I was afraid I was out of the loop (lol pun), but judging by the above post, perhaps not so much:
  11. No, I am browning TPR because raw TPR is too soft and doughy for my tastes. Did you watch the Super Bowl?
  12. 9/10 Morgan Freeman's voice
  13. Frederick Douglass Why hasn't anyone just ASKED a bear about bears' bathroom location preferences?
  14. Kings Dominion, plz do this. thank you Kings Dominion
  15. 1. What is the best park visit you had in 2017? PNE Playland in October. I rode Coaster eight times, exclusively in the front and the back, and she was even more aggressive than I remembered. I was even the last person allowed in line—still grateful and weirdly tense about that dodged bullet. Oh, and I rode Bug Whirled, too. 2. Have you ever traveled to a park with a specific ride in mind only for it to be closed all day? Yes. 3. GCI or Gravity Group? Pick one. Gravity Group. 4. How many different parks did you visit in 2017? Two. 5. How many times did you visit your home park in 2017? By distance, zero. Unofficial home park, three visits/two trips. 6. What was the first RMC you rode? NTag 7. Best view from the top of a lift? I don’t really have a favorite, but since the setting is such a crucial part of the experience, I’ll say Boulder Dash. 8. What new-for-2018 roller coaster are you most anticipating? Pick one. Steel Vengeance. 9. RMC or Intamin? You can only choose one. RMC 10. What was your favorite new-to-you ride of 2017? Joker (SFDK) 11. Money is no object. You can travel to any park in the world right now by snapping your fingers. Where are you going? (Assuming park is open) Europa Park 12. Have you ever made out with someone in a queue line? Probably? 13. What is the last coaster that changed your top 10? Twisted Colossus 14. Disney or Universal? Disney 15. When is the last time you witnessed someone puke at a park? I, understandably, try not to pay too much attention. 16. How many new credits did you pick up in 2017? If you don't count, take your best guess... Five. 17. You're at Magic Mountain. You have a one hour ERT session on ONE coaster of your choice. You choose... Twisted Colossus 18. Name a coaster or ride that you passionately dislike. Pony Express 19. What is the most amount of money you've spent on a Fast Pass? $30-something, although thanks to TPR and other folks, that’s far from the highest-priced one I’ve enjoyed. 20. Skyscreamers or Windseekers? Skyscreamers 21. What is your most recent B&M credit? Thunderbird 22. Best adult beverage at a theme park? (under 21: whats your favorite beverage you can only get at a park?) Any cocktail, mixed drink, or flavored shot! 23. Most irritating coaster nickname/abbreviation? All of the ones I don’t like. 24. Butterbeer or Dole Whip? Dole Whip 25. Favorite steel coaster *under* 100 feet? Powder Keg 26. What's the best bathroom at your home park? Out of the ones I’ve visited, the men’s room, since it didn’t have a vomit-filled sink. 27. Nighttime ERT on Lightning Rod or all-you-can-eat Cinnamon Bread? You can only choose one. Nighttime ERT on Lightning Rod. 28. If it were in your power, what coaster would you relocate to Knoebels? Operating—Cyclops SBNO—Leap-the-Dips Defunct—Wild Mouse (Blackpool) 29. What is the last thing you remember eating in a theme park? Chicken strips and fries. 30. Your favorite coaster got equipped with on board audio x Spotify. What's your hype track? It really depends too much on which favorite coaster. 31. Name the most disappointing ride you took in 2017. Arctic Blast at the Oregon State Fair. 32. Airtime hill or Zero G Roll? Airtime hill 33. What is your favorite coaster/ride built before 1970? Coaster (Playland) 34. What's worse - splashed by malaria lake flume water or dripped on by chain lift grease? Splashed 35. Name an Intamin coaster on your bucketlist! Expedition GeForce 36. You just won a 3 day trip with hotel and airfare included. The catch is you have to choose between Disneyworld or Cedar Point. Which do you choose and why? WDW. Saves me a ton more cash, and I have been to Cedar Point enough times (although I love spending three days there). 37. Floater or Ejector? Ejector. I don’t have as strong a preference as a lot of enthusiasts, though. 38. What was your worst park experience of 2017? Waiting for food. 39. Name your favorite coaster under 41 feet tall. Wooden Warrior 40. End your post with an aerial shot of one of your top 5 coasters. I decline to respond.
  16. 69. Why does everyone assume woodchucks CAN'T chuck wood? I mean, they're called that for a reason...
  17. Right?! Legitimately had to think about it for a second when someone mentioned a one-two punch.
  18. ^Oh man, it's just dawning on me that merge points would not be compatible with the "reserved" seats. Did not catch that when complaining/expressing concerns about both things, haha. I do like waiting in the station, so I know I'll have free (and guilt-free) seat choice, and won't mess up grouping for others.
  19. ^Excellent! That was probably what grated me the most--I'm not a fan of being kept to a schedule, but I can work with it if needed. Being relegated to what some people (including non-enthusiasts) would consider a "worse" ride experience always rubbed me the wrong way.
  20. Six Flags definitely would. "We're working on a less complicated system for catering, but if you really want to you can purchase more expensive catering (pay more money for catering) now through our current complicated system!"
