that sucks. car crashes are the worst. My cousin had gotten into 3 back to back... (a total of 4 ) and Im glad he's been taken off the road. If you cant pay attention to what's on the road, you have no business in driving. Hopefully it all works out.

at the Wet N Wild that used to be in Vegas, there was 2 very tall slides, probably the tallest I've ever seen or been on. One of them you slide yourself over the edge and the other you sit inside of a boothe and wait for them to drop you. I did the one where you just slid yourself over, but at the time I was way to scared to do the other. Its to bad its gone cuz I really wish I had done it now.

I could say a lot of things that sounds promising, but doesn't neccessarily make me a great candidate. In fact, Obama, if elected, could prove to be one of the greatest BSers of our time considering the ammount of promises he's made. Im not saying he will or will not. Im just saying dont follow so blindly. Its good you have an interest in politics, but be mindful of both sides of the issue. Dont just dismiss one side because sombody said "McCain is another Bush." That's not neccessarily true. Do your own research and draw your own conclusions. But I find it hard to believe that you've come up with your own opinions when I hear that you hate a particular opponent. I willing to bet you dont know all that much about him as hate generally comes from ignorance. I think the best way to improve something is to be open to all ideas which is something this country needs to really look at if they want to get it's economy back on track.

The fact that people care about Dobson's opinion is scary. Why do they have to look to some one else for answers? People should be smart enough to make their own individual opinion. But alas... the truth is that majority of people in America are not people... but sheeple. Baa!

its funny... last election I was all excited about politics and bush this and kerry that. And now... 4 years later, im not sure if I really care. Why is it that Obama or McCain are our choices? Its a shame that people feel that HAVE to vote for either a democrat or republican. But so is the way of the general public. I think a lot of it is a popularity vote. Sure, maybe people on forums might know a fair share more about their choice in politicians, but I can pretty much guarantee that most people wont bother to research it and just choose some one because they're representing their own party. Personally I think Im going to not vote this election because I do not favor either candidate. So im not going to give my vote to some one who I dont support. Although I do think Obama needs to add nuclear energy to his energy bill. Its an extremely efficient energy source (why do you think they use it for air craft carriers?) and it burns clean fuel. On top of that, the waste can be recycled over time, with the hope that one day it would be non-existant. and with technological improvements, Im sure the chances of a melt down are slim to none so long as compitant employees are in place. Im just saying we should look into more then say wind power which has really yet to prove itself all that effective. Because if it were, we'd have windmills next to our houses instead of like solar panels on the roof.

First off, nice double-post. Secondly, are you serious? Usually the concept art doesn't live up to what is actually done!! I realize you're young and your park experience is limited, but come on, you're talking about Universal here, you think the work is going look crappy? Get serious, they have some of the best designers, builders......around. It will look amazing when it's done. Well for his argument, I will say that the final product probably won't hold up to the concept art simply do to the fact that the art is enhanced with a certain tone to the coloration and various lighting effects that just probably wont be there. Regaurdless though, the actual design of the facades and the interiors shouldn't be to much different, with an exception, of course, being the "lighting" seen in the concept art. Although if that whole resort doesn't already speak for itself, the final product should look very good in comparison to the concept art.

in regaurds to the screamin vs soarin debate, its more of a capacity issue. Screaming flushes riders through and probably gets more guests during the day, where as soaring loads slow and as a result gets longer wait times and line, but less riders. I think Knott's is a good example of good rides but crappy park. Hate the place. They've really ruined what used to be a really good park. It could be one of the best parks, a pleasant surprise like the Busch parks where you would not expect to much, but get a lot. But unfortunately knott's fails. And its worth a visit on weekdays during the off season with discounted coupons.

Just because you have a bunch of rides doesn't mean the park is any better. No, what it means is that you have less space to build an attraction of a quality which is worth everybody's time. Once that space is filled, its going to be there for awhile. Along with that, I dont see why park management has to get butt-hurt over one enthusiasts reaction to a particular project. If the enthusiast's disagreement holds no practicality or reason to it and is just out of angst or ignorance, then you would think the management would be able to dismiss such an opinon and continue on with their own lives.

i agree that Apollo's Chariot isn't the best ride out there. Probably the weakest at the park, although overall it's still a fun attraction. I wouldnt know how it compares to Loch Ness Monster as the ride's chain broke later in the day and it never opened up. Guess I should have gone on it first. But what really impressed me about the park is that no ride is just "average." Although by looks you would assume that it would just be an average attraction, but there's always that added element to it that just blows you away. Example: Escape from Pompeii. I thought it was just gonna be an average chute the chute water ride with some sound effects and people screaming that the ride was gonna explode and then you drop. And while the ride was pretty lame, the fire effects at the same time made the ride interesting. I must have gone on it like 10 times when I went. A lot of rides there are like that. Its a really cool park.

making it a resort would work out well for them anyways because it keeps people on the property and it gives the park almost an automatic destination status depending on the quality of the hotel and the park. It would be cool if the pool was shaped as a les paul or some other equally recognizablee guitar.

The main thing here is that outsourcing does not neccessarily mean less quality. There are plenty of companies out there that pride themselves in doing quality work. And that's really what the parks need is just a quality experience for it's guests. I don't really care how they get from point A to point C, so long as the end result works out in the best possible way.

With no offense to Joey, NOTHING could be farther from the truth! Florida's version is FAR superior, starting with the fact that they had a much larger building to work with. JJ I would not say FAR superior, just superior. If USH's wasn't so anti-climactic i would definately say they're both on par with each other.

well considering I was in Annapolis like 2 weeks ago, we had a day to kill so I talked the peoples into driving 3 hours to get to BGE, along the way we passed SFA and KD, and it was tempting just to go there, but BGE was well worth the drive and was everything I could have possibly wanted it to be. Its a very good park with plenty to do and see. I cant speak for HP though, it looks cool. But I'm just saying BGE WAS FUCKING AMAZING!
