Six Flags Fiesta Texas (SFFT) Discussion Thread

indeed. While 22 or 20 years may not seem that long in people years, for a coaster or any park attraction for that matter, it's a very long time. Just because its not a John C allen or herbert schmeck doesn't mean it can't be a classic. -
Magic Mountain hasn't purchased an extra train for a ride since Viper. The "extra" trains they have ended up with were simply the result of the fact they can't run the rides they have to their intended capacity. As for the ride? It's a credit to me. Hopefully it is exciting, but it certainly doesn't make me go "holy crap! I need to ride this NOW!". I think this ride could have been that if they had done something crazy craptacular in addition to the top hot and not just have it end like Kingda Ka. Like others had said.... given us a helix, have it play around the woods a little bit. Who knows. Overall the ride still looks fun, but could have been better.

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

Here's one for you Guy is on his phone while on Space Mountain, uploads to his twitter/instagram and calls the ride Magic Mountain. -
^ aww I see, i was thinking you might have forgotten about it completely so I just wanted to mention it. But for me, I think if you can hit 3 - 4 good spots with a solid amount of ejector similar to what's on RotM, then this coaster would suffice. I don't know if SFMM necessarily needs a skyrush, but I agree it would be nice.

Enthusiasts love airtime, and SFMM is so limited in that area, the thought is that Intamin would be the best choice to provide it given their history. I can't think of a single Premier built ride that offers insane airtime. Perhaps that could change? Going by the rumors, this could be their most expansive coaster yet. I've been on a little old Premier ride at this one theme park in Florida that has excellent air time. It's kind of obscure so I'm sure you never heard of it but it's called Revenge of the Mummy and it had excellent air time, imo.

^ lol. exactly how I feel in regards to the latest rumor. Knott's gets one chance to build a great coaster of this scale and they'll likely miss the mark. If you had to choose between I305 or SkyRush against Laviathan, what would you choose? Obviously it's to late for knott's management to do anything now. Any plans they might have are already set in stone. We will have to see what they had in mind.

That's how California is dude. Even at my college, we just built a brand new parking structure and library. The bathrooms in the library and the elevator are all tagged and scratched the F up. I would think college age kids who are trying to obtain higher learning would have enough knowledge to respect and keep things nice for everyone, but they don't care. Some how vandalism has become "art." Scratching/spray painting your dumb @ss thoughts and call signs does not mean you're artist nor does it mean its an act of artistic expression. But I'm preaching to the choir. Its a shame Manta has already become a victim to such a behavior. On a happier note, I'd like to hear from people who have been on both, how this compares to Cheetah Hunt since they're drawing so much comparison.

I don't see how a .10 of extra gravitational pull has to be 3.5 seconds shorter then 1.4 negative g's. I too would like to see these standards. Anybody experience any redding out on this ride? -

2000 feet long with a hight of 75 feet? Should be a good length ride, and those hills... i love me some curvy hills -
What the lose from your revenue, they gain in having more space in the park to sell vacation packages (hotel/tickets/dining/etc.) to others. Right now they are essentially saying they don't need to rely on your revenue, as they had needed to in the past when the resort was underperforming. This These price changes are reflective of market studies they've been performing over the past couple of years. None of it's been done in haste. If you feel put off by these price changes, don't take it personally, but they've already taken account of this, and possibly even welcomed it.

I'm sure HP will eventually have a professional company come in to film B roll footage in the future, but if they wanted to get something out quick, its simple enough to stick a little go-pro in the front and let the footage roll instead of waiting for film crews to come through. The footage looks good. Better then majority of the footage out there. You guys are so picky. -
I think there's an alterior motive here. They want to price out premium pass holders to keep the number of visiting pass. holders down the most busy of days. Like when hotels valet rate was raised to $58 for non hotel guest, the idea was to discourage nonhotel guests from filling our limited parking.
