  1. Portland, Oregon's train system is quite wonderful. If Anaheim can create a form on transportation to shuttle all area guests to facilities of importance (IE, Honda Center/Angels Stadium - Amtrak Station/Convention Centers/Hotels off Harbor/Disneyland) the area would be in good shape.
  2. That sucks. That hill looked to be quite full of the air time.
  3. As a non-parent I didnt finish the article.
  4. Jaguar used to have mist/fog into the station and a fireball, plus the queue/station itself was impressive for its time. So they certainly tried. grant it I was 5 or 6 when the ride first open, but there was nothing like seeing the ball of flame come from the temple. As a family ride I always thought it was a great addition, but the fact that it has a taller hight requirement then space mountain and the same hight requirement as ghost rider is ridiculous.
  5. I really appreciate the fact that the YOLOcoaster is the new non-official/official name of the ride. Lets keep this up. I'd like to see all marketing and signage reflect this new name. If Drake performs at the grand opening, then you can put yoloaster as my most anticipated ride.
  6. I guess I'm considered an undesirable fan. What makes this more disturbingly personal is bands like the Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, and Slayer, have all played on Disney properties and their lyrics/imagery are far more brutal than Machine Head. I wonder what they did to piss off the Mouse so bad... http://www.blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=181873 GlassHouse is a better Venue anyways and it's not the 70 miles away the article said. I see this as a win.
  7. Lets get through this expansion before we ask "what's next." Obviously no one on this board could possibly care about what's been confirmed, but at this point myself nor anyone could begin to tell you what's going on in the brains of knotts. We will see what's next when Knotts tells us. But don't expect anything for at least another 1 - 3 years.
  8. Even on the family front knotts could have done far better. How about revamping the log ride, ghost town, and mine train attractions and bring them up to the standards of the 21at century? If knotts was targetting family, they shouldnt have put in a coaster at all. The knotts experience is far too shallow and they could and should do far better. Knotts, imo, just completely lacks vision and doesnt reach its full potential.
  9. I think a lot of people would have to agree with you.
  10. So.... What about the new trains for the Voyage?....... Has Holiday world given up?
  11. So this is how they keep people interested in the NHL when they season is locked out... they parade around the Stanley cup...
  12. Rumor has it that ground will break for Potterland shortly after HHN wraps up. Exciting times for this little park.
  13. Get there early because the park tends to close early, especially during that time but for the most part the park will be dead especially during the time you stated you wish to go. USH is a great way to see some aspects of hollywood while also getting a small theme park experience. Its also a great way to kill a day, but if you are simply looking for rides, Knotts might be better. Outside of Transformers, the Tram, the Mummy, Jurassic Park, and the Simpsons, everything else is a show, either 3D, live performance, or a hybrid of both.
  14. ^ I'm hoping the penguin attraction going into Florida finds its way over the left coast sometime soon as well. SeaWorld has always done a fantastic job. And especially after the success of Manta, I'm glad to see SWSD continuing in that direction.
  15. ^ coasters are like tattoos. They're expensive and hard to remove. Put the right one in and even people who say they hate it will tell you how much they love it, put the wrong one in, even the fans who love it will tell you how much it sucks. I doubt six flags has learned any kind of lesson though. Itd be nice if they did but unlikely. If we're lucky they'll cancel this project and they'll go back to the design stages but thats completely unprecedented and has and probably never will happen. All they really need to do is add more track...
  16. Wow incredible! Wish my local themepark had invested into something like this instead if what full throttle actually is... Im definately feeling envious
  17. Splash Mountain usually gets a sizable rehab every winter after the holiday season. It is getting towards the end of that cycle, though I feel like MiceAge could be over-exaggerating the "deterioration."
  18. I second the motion for the return of the Tales of the Berry
  19. I think we can all relax a little with the latest KBF screamscape update.
  20. The GP can sniff out an idiot. This sounds like a case of the karma. Man should be thankful to still have his life. Where's the thumbs up button?
  21. It's not even 2013 and the track work looks like its almost finished. When do they plan on opening this attraction? I assume they're trying to knock out most of the construction before the Missery storms come rolling through this winter, making everything... miserable. lol Drop looks incredible!
  22. Yea, I'm trying to figure out Knott's game plan. Those ads they are running are pretty clever, but only go so far. If there is no substance to the theme park, what's the point of going? My hopes of something good have greatly diminished though, but I'd like to eat my words
  23. ^ sounds like the demographic knotts pulls in..... Domino's dude... Domino's.... Yeeeeees!
  24. I think knotts could be a better in between park, and with the right investments, could pull more people in.
  25. and I'm sure in time, Disney will develop something in that Maliboomer dead spot, but I don't think it's the priority for the resort at the moment. I think hollywoodland will likely be the next main focus as with the grizzly river area.
