  1. I must say *puts on sunglass* It looks much better the Leviathan
  2. And it still is, but is quality assurance to make sure these cast members are making coffee the starbucks way, it is their brand after all. Guest interaction and service will still be very Disney in addition to holding Starbuck's standards.
  3. How consistent do you these soft openings will be? Would it be worth visiting the park prior to the grand opening or maybe I should wait till after the official opening.
  4. ^ i find the citrus flavor to be my favorite of any energy drink. It gets my approval, the other ones are kind of funky though.
  5. Full Throttle... sounds like a perfect tie in to a highly caffeinated coke product!
  6. where is the new sting ray petting exhibit going?
  7. I scratch my head on the whole Prudential thing. #1, I'm positive that CGA brings far more tax dollars to the city so I can not see how the city would weigh or take into consideration what Prudential has to say all that much. #2, I feel as though Prudential is meddling more with CGA's business far more then any "noise" distraction would ever cause harm to Prudential's business. #3 and finally, if the park noise is such a concern to their operations, why don't they relocate? Would be far easier for them to move then for a whole theme park. I really hope the city sticks it to them. I think CGA has the most potential for growth in the next decade as it has not been receiving the love and care as it should have been getting, and I'm sure attendance has been lower then its potential as a result.
  8. A reverse blast? Does not sound pleasant....
  9. the attraction looks like a win to me. Yes, the story isn't as "mature" as JTCOTE, but who's to say it won't be as good? I guess we won't know for sure till opening day, but me thinks it will just come down to a matter of preference.
  10. $100 million ride and they couldn't spend $1 mil more to have a proper facade. But I guess I'm nit picking.
  11. Between this and WWOHP @ufo, and given the success of disneysea, I hope that these parks continue this trend of building more immersive experiences and environment. If that's the case, then I would say the future of these theme parks look very bright given the current results
  12. Anybody see the latest update of the park on westcoaster? Wonder if its just beautification/infrastructure improvements or if its preporations for something else.
  13. Quite frankly, the ammount of people inside disneyland was rediculous. I got through the gates at 10 and shortly after the park hit capacity. I didn't go on a single ride but I did talk to some people I hadn't seen in a long time and it was interesting watching the chaos unfold. I left around 1 and it looked like thousands of people were still trying to get in. Imo, disney would have been wise to have had dca open but I'm thinking that those in charge didn't expect to see the turnout that occurred for a 24 hour event in the middle of the week. General park merch and odv carts weren't selling much but lines for places like jolly holidays and popcorn carts were extremely long. I'd be interested to see if disney met or outperformed all of their financial goals with this little stunt.
  14. Figures that Qummet would hire someone from Disney to be their new marketing director, still I hope she's able to do a good job as a good marketing strategy will really help the parks alot. Why not? Disney attracts some of the best talent in the world so why not pull from that pool?
  15. the outlook of the park hasn't been the greatest for the past decade it seems. With Paramount selling off their parks, then Cedar Fair offloading some of their properties, it always seemed like CGA has always been fighting to avoid the axe. Just when it seemed like the park would get something new, the local businesses and the deal with the 49'ers ended up throwing another wrench into the progress of the park. I'd like to see these new revised plans get approved and the project signal a beginning of a new era for the park. This will be an interesting park to watch in the coming years.
  16. that's a sexy piece of engineering!
  17. look at it this way, too. If whale's can't be held in captivity, then neither can any other domesticated animal. Where will our food supply come from then?
  18. Looking over the construction pictures again, I cant help but feel like its time to plan another visit to BGE. I really liked BBW and rode it a number of times during visit, but I'm sure that this ride will be a worthy successor and will hopefully exceed our expectations.
  19. This just proves that people prefer steel coasters to wood. *waiting for the debates*
  20. track wise, this is like the Boss of GCI's in terms of size. Should be a really solid attraction. Hopefully GCI's best to date
  21. Its probably because they start with the day first in Singapore. So it's the 3rd of the 12th month, 2011.
  22. Yea how annoying. Its nice not to see coke everywhere i go.
  23. ^ Viper always seems to have large lines in the morning and then they will tend to die off towards the afternoon after majority of the park has been on it. At least that has always been my experience on recent visits.
  24. So... this rides drop will end up being about the same size as BBW? It could make up for the loss if the rest of the attraction is stellar.
