Heide Park Discussion Thread

The paint schemes and the theming are very impressive... -
^ I visited TRP and it I don't see that many Virginia residents around there. See for yourself here... http://www.theraptorpit.com/forum/index.php However on TPR, there are a lot of Virginia residents around (including me). Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to go on any TPR trips in the future. I've noticed that members of all kinds of other coaster forums tend to make fun of ACE just as much as TPR does. There seems to be a general stereotype that most ACErs live in their parent's basement oogling over pictures of Intamin and B&M coasters while eating excessive amounts of gravy. So TPR isn't alone when it comes to making fun of ACE.

Everland Discussion Thread

Question: Is it possible (and money saving) for all the turns that are experiencing stress to get retracked by Vekoma? From the video, the ride really flies through the turns and I can see why there are maintenence issues/stress on the track and the trains themselves. I would seriously hate to see the world lose another Arrow Suspended because they're so awesome! -

You can either host them on another site like Photobucket or Imageshack, copy the link to the pics, and wrap them in the image tags (Img) button... Or you can upload them directly to TPR by using the form below that says Add Photo, Video, or Other Attatchement. -
Holy Crap those designs are awesome! The poison one is my favorite.

Marriotte's Americana

The scenery around the hyper's station look great! Were you inspired by the Ohio hypers? Now onto the issues... It looks like you added some turns at the bottom of the drops and they don't seem right. I don't think B&M builds drops like that on their real hypers. Try to make the drops more curved instead of placing the turns on the bottom of the drops. The first hills look a bit too triangular for a B&M hyper. Try to make the initial hills a bit more parabolic like the airtime hills at the end of the ride. It reminds me of Magnum a bit. From the really high view of the camera, it looks like you added an inversion toward the end of the ride... Normally hypers don't have those, especially B&M ones. (I'm not really sure if it really is an inversion though) Otherwise the park looks great! I really wanna see some close-ups of the hyper. -
BUSCH GARDENS SOUTH AMERICA [RCT2]

Why don't you try incorporating the new themes into existing areas. Just rename the rides, change the building/ride colors, and change the scenery. That way, you don't really need to expand very far outsde the park for new rides/attractions. It might require a bit of extra effort, but the park will look a lot better and feel a bit more diverse in the end. -

Why in the world would anybody let a mentally challenged person onto ANY ride by themselves? The midway looks kinda like a cross between an American carnival and a German one. Awesome pics! -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
netdvn replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Personally I think that Viper and Maverick have suitable names which can be interchangeable for a wood/steel coaster. But a name like Steel Phantom or Iron Wolf wouldn't suit a wooden coaster, nor will a name like Shivering Timbers or Timberhawk suit the name for a steel coaster. I kinda think that the name Terminator does suit the name for a wooden coaster if it isn't tied to the franchise. But SFMM's does and I think they did an excellent job with the trains (although I do think the front panels could be changed). Now as long as it delivers an incredible ride, I probably wouldn't have a problem. And I really hope SF didn't cheap out on the theming either, although I've been pretty impressed at their recent attempts to theme rides. -
BUSCH GARDENS SOUTH AMERICA [RCT2]
netdvn replied to BelgianGuy's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
It looks like you're having trouble getting inspiration so here are some suggestions... South America isn't all jungle. There's the Andes, the beaches, ancient ruins, and more... Instead of focusing on the Amazon rain forest, add am area themed to the Andes, an area themed to Rio, etc... Rio Carnival - Make an area with tons of colorful buildings. Add a lot of color (colorful flats, etc). Add an artificial beach and maybe some waterslides and small water rides. Andes - Use hilly terrain and build a coaster surrounding it. My suggestion is do some research on the Andes themselves for myths and legends surrounding the mountains. Add some snow and some buildings/small flats to make it look cooler. Islands - Both Busch parks have animal habitats and BGSA should have one too! Put it on an island surrounded by water and add tons of exhibits where animals live. You should theme it to the Galapagos Islands and add some animals (if you can download animals). Don't forget about the eagle habitat as well. Ruins - A massive area themed to ancient native civilizations... Maybe add a dark ride and some small flats themed to myths and legends surrounding those civilizations. Try to do some research on the different parts of South America and include themes and rides based on those... I hope this helps... PS: Both Busch parks have a Land of the Dragons childrens area. Just add a large play fort with small childrens rides surrounding it. And don't forget to theme it to dragons. -

^ Just post the pics in segments. You don't really need to post 50 pics in one post not to mention, I can see them all from my junk computer. Double/triple/quadruple posting is acceptable when posting a PTR. A lot of members do it all the time. BTW: Awesome pics. It's so cool seeing what the Orlando parks looked like back then... Do you have anymore pics of models and concept art? I'm very interested in seeing those. PS: Now I know why so many Disney fans complained about the cake facade on the castle... PPS: The Earful Tower is still there, but it's not MGM's official park icon anymore. -

I could've given you some inspiration if you really needed it. Not to mention I really wanna see the rest of the yellow coaster. Either way, good luck on this project. -

Both of you are excellent RCT designers. I can't wait to see more... Although it makes me wonder what will happen to BGSA considering BelgianGuy is working on the SW park as well. -

Was Volcano originally planned to be some sort of floorless Intamin Pipeline Coaster where the people magically stick to their seats? The entire booklet looks like something out of the 60s/70s and the trains have a very 1950s/1960s futuristic feel to them. -

^^ That's why I recommend asking others to send me PMs when they send/recieve their brochure/maps. I do the same to them by notifying them whenever I send mine or receive theirs. That way I can keep track of whoever still needs to recieve my brochures/maps. I also do that to prevent people from trying to rip me off of my brochures. -
^ The student probably just didn't really care about the class. (probably failing the class anyway and a higher grade wouldn't boost much) More pics... And lastly, the Mysterious Yellow B&M comes to Music City USA as Wabash Cannonball 2. Hilarious product placement, but I do think that the Huggies bilboard looks kinda Photoshopped... Paradox?
