  1. ^^^ You forgot Eejanika and the Intamin Zac Spins.
  2. I suggest adding the rock formation around the entrance plaza of the ride and around the actual layout, not the station building since the rocks seem out of place around the building... As for SW's building, the roof tiles on the portion of the building above the banked turn should be replaced or you could support the outer edge of the roof with something else...
  3. Lois Lane: The Ride?... It's kinda like how MK has Dumbo, Aladdin, and Astro Orbiter. Essentially the same ride, but it looks different. Normally kids that watch the Wiggles are too intimidated by "big" rides to ride them. Many amusement/theme parks and carnivals have copies of smaller flats (even BGW) so having different themed clones of the same ride in a park would be the last of my worries. On top of that, SF doesn't theme their rides as well as some other chains do. Sure they've gotten better, but I wouldn't expect SF to theme all their kiddie rides anytime soon. Was a Thomas themed dark ride promised? Maybe they decided not to build one. What? First you don't care for preshows, then you say that preshows are OK with Disney? I'm pretty sure tons of locals like to visit DL/WDW and tourists like to visit SFGAm. Just because SF parks are regional doesn't mean that there shouldn't be a storyline around the ride. Busch parks utilize preshows in their rides and nobody complains about them... Not really... All you need is a story and some theming. I wouldn't consider Twister or Jimmy Neutron to be timeless, but there are rides themed to both. Depends on the show really... Scooby Doo, Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, and Tom and Jerry are all considered timeless. Depends... As long as they don't use the Disney characters, I don't think Disney will have a problem with it.
  4. Bah.... Games like Stacker, Lighthouse, and those prize grabbers are all rigged to force people to spend more money in those machines. They just put big prizes like video games, consoles, mp3 players, and DVDs to sucker more people into playing them. I've never really bothered to play those games. But I've seen enough people try to win iPods and Xbox 360's only to have burned through $20 without winning anything.
  5. You can get the coupons at Subway restaraunts around the Hampton Roads area, Northeastern NC, and around Richmond so yes, Subway restaraunts around Williamsburg should carry BGW coupons... I'm trying to get rid of my BGW and KD coupons since I probably won't use them before they expire so if you're willing to trade any old theme park maps/brochures for them that would be awesome.
  6. The good... - The woodie looks great. - The entrance plaza is much better than before The bad... - The mini golf area should use a bit more color. Maybe add some flowers and some colorful scenery to make it look more attractive. - SW's building seems a bit plain. - Carnage's huge building and the large roof overpower the small windows on the side. There is a TON of potential in this park. Excellent work so far.
  7. The supports on the impulse do need fixing, but it looks great overall. The buildings seem a bit blocky though and the park looks barren. Add more trees/flowers and include a bit of theming to improve the look...
  8. Whoah, there's another new land coming to BGW? Is Busch even ready for a new land? Especially after adding an new one this year. Makes me wonder what the new land would be themed to and what rides it would bring.
  9. ----- Are you interested? Please PM me if you're interested. As for your questions... 1. Are you more into rides or atmosphere. KD is more of a rides park while BGW is more of a theme/atmosphere park. If you want more credits/rides, KD is the park for you, but if you're more into shows and theming, then go to BGW. Both are great parks though and I recommend visiting both. 2. If you're paying for it then you should be the one deciding where to go unless you're doing the trip for her. 3. Again, are you more of a rides person or an atmosphere person? 4. Either day is fine. I've gone to BGW on both days numerous times before and I can say that crowds are unpredictable. 5. I've never used it, but if you can manage your time and hit all the big rides as early as you can before crowds pick up, you won't really need to use it.
  10. I posted this in the discount thread just in case you were interested... As for touristy stuff around Williamsburg, you could try... The Historic Triangle (Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown) ..on Richmond Road There's a small Ripley's you can check out. Prime Outlets Williamsburg Pottery Yankee Candle ... and because you're into Mini Golf, you could try Go Karts Plus. They've got mini golf, go-karts, and a small kiddie credit. The Pottery and Go Karts Plus are a little bit out of your way though. As for hotels ----------- I've never stayed in any Williamsburg hotels because I live there, but there are a number of new hotels along Bypass Road that you could check out... Richmond Road also has a number of nice-looking hotels that you could try.
  11. The good... - The coaster layouts are awesome! They use the terrain very well. - Some of the scenery looks very good. The bad... - It looks as though you've crammed a bunch of rides into a small space. It the park seems a bit crowded. Try spacing the rides out a little more. - Some of the areas look great, but others don't. Try adding a bit more scenery to the barren-looking areas (maybe flowers or theming). I'm assuming you haven't finished those areas though because they do look incomplete. - You might also need to do some scenery work around the coasters. They look barren and don't really suit the rest of the park. Try adding some rock formations, trees, and theming around them. The park could use some improvement, but the park looks very promising.
  12. ^^ 1. Mix the flower colors up a little and maybe replace some with bushes. That way it doesn't seem as repetitive... 2. A traditional brown for the woodie sounds great. And maybe you should paint the railings green. The new maze looks great!
  13. So does this mean that two of CP's coasters are sinking now?? I swear that park is cursed - Dan
  14. My parents totally didn't bother buying my cap and gown at the beginning of the semester and I graduate in two weeks! I'm kinda POed about the whole situation because I really wanna attend my HS graduation and I can't do it without my cap/gown...
  15. I have an A in my English 241 class! The assignments are very difficult and there's a lot of reading involved. Starting off summer classes on a positive note!
  16. Pokemon GSC Champion theme - Nintendo I'm so pumped about Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver
  17. ^^ The bird thing hasn't been put on the trains yet. I'm pretty sure the trains will look better with the bird on. Aren't both trains built by the same company?
  18. Are you headed to Doswell VA within the next month? I have three $15 off Admission KD passes that I will be willing to trade for any old or new maps/brochures. Good for up to 6 people, the pases expire (I think) June 28th. I'll give the exact expiration date later. Brochures: 2009 BGW x6 2008 Ocean Breeze Waterpark x2 Extra: 2009 BGW Event brochure x1 2009 BGW Adults at Kids Price coupons expires June 14th x3 --------- Reserve your spot for... 1997-1998 PCW Top Gun postcard 1997-1998 PCW Wonder Mountain postcard 1997-1998 Toronto Centre Island postcard 1999-2000 NY NY Postcard Jan 1988 DL Space Mountain photograph
  19. The good... - The building design is absolutely incredible. You did an amazing job theming the park to a garden... - The scenery really suits the park. It reminds me of an actual garden. The bad... - The woodie's colors are a bit ackward IMO. - The flowers still seem a bit repetitive. It looks like you're using the same two flowers over and over again. The park is excellent overall...
  20. 1. I really don't have a problem with the B&M's layout, but the supports do look like they need a bit more work and the MCBR looks like its just placed there. A small coaster like that doesn't really need a MCBR IMO... I think the ride would look better with scenery and some tunnels. Everything else looks great.
  21. 1. The ride looks absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see this in operation. 2. I'm really hoping the new People Mover-style line works. I'm getting the feeling that some riders would have trouble using the restraints, hesitate getting on, etc... and holding back the trains.
  22. I wouldn't say that Arrow suspendeds are the greatest innovation as there are more innovative coasters out there (wooden coasters and steel coasters anyone?). But I do think that Arrow suspendeds are awesome... B&M's inverts are basically their ONLY innovation though. And many coaster companies (Vekoma, Intamin, etc) have built their own inverts in response to B&M's...
  23. The Sound of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel (SP?)
  24. Great animated image, but I can't help but notice that it seems kinda sexualy suggestive... 9/10
  25. EDIT: much better.... I'm not a big fan of taking care of a potty training 3 year old... Its driving me crazy. Luckily he'll be gone by the weekend making me finally free!
