  1. Wow, those first two pictures make the park look great!!! The entry looks like it fits the South America theme really well and the station for the invert looks phenomenal. I cannot wait to see the next update, this will surely be a good park! Keep it up. Ha, I didn't read whose park this was until after I posted...I should have known it was you! You make the best rct parks.
  2. BGE did a great job with the new section of the park, it adds a lot for the kids to do in addition to superb themeing! I think the oscar bush inside the trash can is awesome, and hilarious. But on the one picture where you titled it "smile for the onride video" or something like that, the kid in the second row is doing anything but that. He looks terrified!
  3. Why did it valley? Was it windy or cold or something? I don't think I know many B&M's that have valleyed before, only Raptor I think.
  4. Any pictures of the station and surrounding buildings? The concept art made them look pretty sweet.
  5. Sorry to dig up a semi dead thread but what is the status on this park slash fireball? I hope that the coasters are built and looking all style-ey for opening!
  6. I don't really see how matador is like bullet or fireball. And I agree with stoksy completely about the building technique though I cannot tell you your wrong because this is more than I could do. Anyways, I like the names of the rides and its a creative start. Keep working with this, it has potential.
  7. I think this has to be one of the better NL projects be built because your a putting a ton of effort and time into making this perfect. I think it is sweet that during the loops, one is going up the loop and the other descending. In real life that would trump dragons, IMO, because your going at each other while flipping. Awesome job, I cannot wait to see the finish product! Will it be getting a greek theme? How do you make two tracks? I know its one track, but how did you make two stations and build from there?
  8. Beemer-I forgot that they were not actually housing an actual manta ray. Inside the park they have the stingray exhibit (which IMO is terrifying trying to feed the rays the little fish), and the biggest ray in that tank is like 4 feet across. Now that you have pointed that out though, it would make sense that the tank does not have to be huge because I think SW will just have more of the rays already found in the park. Thank you for pointing that out!!
  9. That makes sense, but there still is a lot more color in the real deal than there is in the concept art. But I guess the biggest question I have still stands. Those pictures make it seem like the tank is HUGE, and I just am not seeing anything of that size in the building. I took a stroll through johnnyupsidedown, and the closest and biggest section of the building that I saw can be found here and that still doesn't look that huge. In the middle of that picture is a decent sized tank, but I highly doubt it can hold the hundreds of rays that are supposed to be apart of this attraction. I don't get it, but I guess patience is a virtue.
  10. Looks fantastic. Here is a couple questions though. -The building facade is currently a mix of colors and in the concept art it is covered in rock with vines and stuff. Are we seeing the recession at work or just a change in plans? -Also, the non rider section features vast tanks with lots of rays. Is this located inside the building or is there just a big hole somewhere that I am not seeing? -Will there be rays in the splashdown region where water is being shot? The pipes shooting the water, will they be inside of some kind of scenery?
  11. You both did great and I look forward to feature coasters designed by both of you!! Keep up the great work, you each had very strong points to your coasters.
  12. I am studying aggregate supply and demand in the great depression as I watch it blizzard out my window. I just want summer and theme park season!
  13. So two back to back losses hurts the Lakers regardless of there position in the playoffs or not and that is an interesting move by the Celtics in shutting down KG. Should be a fun post season!
  14. I know in the skin industry, Vail resorts and the other companies travel abroad and bring in large numbers of employees to work the mountains and in return they get entry in, decent pay and housing all supplied by the parent company. Does SFMM do the same, or even six flags in general?
  15. I was there for spring break a week ago, and the ride ops at Xcel were great! They let me get some extra ride time with just my friends after the park closed, it was awesome!! The ride began overheating at the end of the day but they got the clear for one more go and we almost short shot the first hill. I have never experienced that before and I really want to, so I was a little disappointed we made it over. But anyways, the final brake run stopped us completely and we had to chill on the track for like 15 minutes. I took a video of the ride when we were stuck, be cool I got ride op approval first. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wXYvsA6v00&feature=channel_page I have to say though, the Xcel ride op crew was the best I have experienced. I took a bunch of pictures, but I think the socal parks have been TR'ed enough.
  16. I am aggravated at the entire conduct of this situation between the Denver Broncos and Jay Cutler. Both parties are at fault for the present situation but I cannot help but put a little but more blame on number 6 for his handling of his emotions. McDaniels should have been more direct about what he was planning on doing to the team but come on, is it really necessary to not return calls from your bossand missing out on work (and money) just to voice your opinion? I will happily open the door to see Jay Cutler out of Denver, and I bleed theme park...and then blue and orange.
  17. Every "level" of school is better than the one beneath it. IMO, every grade level is better than the one right beneath it. ^But yes, there is that silly quote that I think applies here. "With great power comes great responsibility." So though you get more freedom and more opportunities, there is a lot more responsibility for your actions.
  18. Six has been chilling beneath a dollar for over a half a year and they are currently down a penny at 28 cents per share. When they hit one year beneath a doller they are removed from the exchange, at that point what happens with the company? Is there still talk about lessening the amount of stock available by half and combining shares that way. I don't know if I am making any sense but I remember that they were going to make it so if you held 2 shares of six stock, you would know have 1 but it would be worth twice as much?
  19. I have a midterm in macro on Thursday. Who knows, that might come in handy! I hope I know more than that for it though haha. I'm a business major, but I am learning about cold and warm fronts. Got to love the gen eds.
  20. ^Adam smith and the invisible hand...I cannot get enough of that.
  21. ^There are two of the same coaster, I would hardly call that repetitive. But I would agree with the fact that something big should be built. If your going off of time, the early 90's were a time where big coasters were being built. ie) heights in the 200 foot range with many inversions.
