Welcome to Jordan's Roller Coaster Models! I have built all of these models from scratch and they have been built over the past couple of years. To clarify, I have used NO kits, building each entirely from my own supplies, plans and hands. Depending on the model, the shortest time to complete was 2.5 months, but the longest took around 7. Each unique in their own way, I have tried my hardest to accurately depict the real model as to the ones in real life. I am aware of the downfalls of each, but have tried to make them as minimal as possible. Manta, without doubt, will be the most accurate, as I am going to settle for nothing less than perfect for accuracy. Follow with me as I build my latest model, share your opinions and let me know what you like and what I can do better. Thanks for reading and enjoy! -Jordan THE LATEST UPDATE OF MANTA CAN BE FOUND: HERE! Other Updates for Your Enjoyment! Manta! I went by coasterkid and now go by themeparkman to many of my friends and family. In the future I am going to own a theme park and am currently in college getting a business degree. In the mean time, I have entertained myself building scale models of SheiKra at Busch Gardens Tampa, Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point and now Insane at Grona Land. I would like to share these models with you because I feel they are very cool and unique. SheiKra took the longest of the three coasters to make due to the fact that the box spine of the B&M track took forever to make. The spine is made of really thin balsa wood, which took a lot to get it to bend and turn the way the actual track does. It is about a 1/160 scale of the real coaster. I know the MCBR is higher in the model than in the real life, I could not get the track to bend out of the helix in the way I wanted it to. Besides that error, I feel the model is pretty accurate including an actual splash down area with fake water, the train station including a train track as well as many of the surrounding buildings. I built the supports and track to the best I could at the time and I am relatively pleased with how it turned out. So without further a due, I present my model of SheiKra! EDIT: I found some pictures of the track in the building process... Trains Entrance Looking up the first drop Looking up the lift Second Drop Walking point of view Overview Splashdown! I have not played rct2 that intensively, but how do you merge a track? Like I can figure out what merge means, but does it literally mean splicing two coaster types together? -

Looks like a great coaster! Its sweet to see some creative genius behind a ride, all too often rides are just build with the standard elements. Keep it up, can't wait for the download! -

Is this coaster being made for a contest? The only one I have read about recently is thrillrideseekers, but I am not sure if that is a stand up contest. -

Im totally down with the first drop and it looks so sick, but now that you posted these additional pictures, a couple questions come to mind. In the first post, you have a flat brake run with the station not too high off the ground. What happened to that idea? I guess the big question that comes to mind is, why on earth is there an inclined brake run? Maybe I am not getting something but brake runs are supposed to be angled down or at least flat, never uphill! Also, I dont quite get the unique support on the inclined loop. I mean its cool your going for unique features/elements and supports, but I don't understand the point of that support. I'll wait for the download though before I say it is not necessary or something like that. Besides that, it looks great! I love the colors and that first drop is awesome! -

^Pffff. Its going to be great! -
The anticipation is killing me!!!! Maybe it ran during the times you weren't there? There is reason to believe if management was talking about it! A couple things though... -The concrete pour towards the pretzel loop and the flat spin is going to be huge!! Thats quite the area they have ready to go. -At this point, I am very indifferent to the colors they are painting the building. When all said and done I'm sure they will look nice, but at this point, the soft pinks, greens and blues seems a little awkward. -The "ocean" area seems smaller than I imagined. I mean hopefully they lay more black tarp down but in comparison to the concept art, the current ocean seems rather small. Anyways, thanks so much for the update!!! It was fantastic.

Lets see how long it takes to name where my picture (<--) was taken.

Its actually just a big distraction...it shoots lazers out at that part and fries everyone's brain! -
^I am totally down with the Denver themeing, but that story line is not very original. It works for sure if your going for just the general idea, but I think you should go for something more "epic", if you know what I mean. Something like this... In the midst of treacherous roads, falling snow and a high risk of avalanche, a small group of friends traveled from the warmth of their homes to brave the dumping of snow that had hit the mountain the night before. The mountain was blanketed in feet of fresh snow that was too much to pass up for the dare devils. As if ignoring the reports from the ski resort, the group decided to tackle Black Bear Cliffs (or whatever run name you dig), the steepest most technical run on the mountain. In an effort to out perform their cohorts, one friend takes extreme skiing a little too far, triggering a massive avalanche that engulfs much of the run. Did the black bear strike again? That might be kind of fun, but I might be delirious due to exhaustion.

^I would guess it takes off a little less because the scoops are a little smaller than those of sheikra and griffon. -

That looks so fantastic! I love how it throws two "v" shapes! Great to see it running at full though, this ride shaped up to be really nice! The splash looks at lot more vertical than say SheiKra or Griffon, is that only because the angle of the scoops? -
Since the loop is a non inverting loop, the track will have to spin counter-clockwise in order for the rails to be on top of the loop. In a regular loop, the heartline just follows the track built, but in this case the riders will have to be spun CCW which would eliminate the straight line used in a normal loop. Naturally, the riders heart is going to be ~2-3 feet off the track so when the track does its spin, the heart will now be 2-3 feet off of the straight heartline. Does that make any sense what so ever?

Are you going to theme the ride? Perhaps a big electric plant?
