  1. I love how in RCT a 2.0 lat G is considered OK. I like the pretzel loop better for sure but the coaster doesn't spend much time in the typical B&M flying position (on yo' belly!) which I guess makes it unique yet unusual. Your trying and that is what counts, cant wait to see more.
  2. Its great to see this ride approaching the final days before opening! Just like the coaster, my model of Insane will be probably completed on opening day. I spoke with the park about what the surrounding buildings will look like and they replied in my email with the 3D rendering in a computer program (of course one that I do not have). SO, will someone please take some pictures of what the station and all the surrounding buildings look like, that would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has autocadd (the actual file is in .dwg format), and you would open it and print screen some images that would be great too! Thanks for your help! Pictures of my model can be found at the bottom of this page.
  3. Well, as promised, here is the completed track work of Insane at Grona lund! This ride has come out better than I imagined and I am very excited to start painting it and decorating it! In total, there is around 40 feet of solid copper, 75 feet of balsa wood (totaling 1500 sticks for the Intamin style track) and one month and four days to complete. Starting with some "blue prints" and now having it complete in 3D is the best feeling! I will post updates continually as I get work done on the painting and the station. I will continue to clean the ride up right now before I submit it to the spray paint can which will put it all at a solid white color. I will then hand brush the supports to the appropriate color! Look for an update in the next couple of days! Thanks for reading! Oh ya- The track will go through a reach envelope test tomorrow. Rumor has it that part of the track fails at the fire station. It hung out with a certain other new ride too long. It too was supposed to have a twisted loop but they decided it would be better if they just had the trains spin instead. Stupid ball coaster slash zacspin. See that green dot though...I think that is a failed reach envelope.
  4. ^Damn! I am done with school in two weeks and will complete maymester (an entire semester in three weeks) by the time prom rolls around for you!
  5. I really am liking your names of all your coasters and rides! They are very creative and make the park feel really nice! Look forward to the next update, keep it up!
  6. On your glitch, I wish you would do something to theme those rides instead of just line them up along the path. Besides that the park looks pretty cool, could use more themeing everywhere really and some bigger rides but I can get over both of those.
  7. Looks good! Are those custom supports or just the exhaust pipe like things? Looking forward to the next update (in an hour).
  8. ^I noticed that too on the first picture robb posted on this page, to the right of dead mans turn (I think that is what it is called right?) Could just be the picture angle though, but that still wouldn't explain it if it doesnt look smooth. Interesting.
  9. 1500 total popsicle sticks minus 180 still to be put in... 1320 popsicle sticks put in on a coaster that is a foot and a half wide and a foot tall?!?! This thing is looking as sexy as any intamin coaster! Update tomorrow..er today!! Happy easter!!!
  10. According to RCDB, the coaster is now being called "Tele2 Insane", does anyone know more about this?
  11. Dude!! This park looks great! I think have themed each ride perfectly to the section it is in, and similarly each section to what I would imagine them to look like. And the fact that you did this with no CS or anything...phenomenal. Keep it up! My only concern is I feel that the city section is a little cluttered feeling, but that is just my opinion. Is the park done or will you add some stuff here and there?
  12. Stoksy- Looking good thus far! I think that you have done a brilliant job with the rides and the scenery. It will be good to see some more exciting things go into the park though. Some comments: -Build some buildings, they add a lot instead of just having rides surrounded by a concrete forest. -Theme it? I know it is just the entry, but what will the park carry a theme(s)? Keep it up, look forward to the upcoming udates.
  13. Jarmor- Thanks for switching that over to the Vekoma style, it changed the coaster completed. The invert really showed the jerks in the track (which as still there in the dutchmen one), but the flying version had a much better feel to it. Some advice: -Take your time building the coaster to make sure that it doesnt just jerk around the track. -Watch the G's! They were through the roof in multiple places! -Heartline the track Some positives: -I thought the supporting was done well (Minus towards the end, they were very B&M like) -Had a good layout IMO. Keep up the good work, you'll make good stuff!
  14. ^Ha, good thing SF "transformed" X into X2 because that would have been the story of the old coaster without the lighter trains! I can see the headline now..."Prototype coaster, X, gets hairline fractures followed by implosion."
  15. Thanks for the update to both of you, esspecially gatorchomp for getting the zero car! It looks fantastic! But I also want to say that the station slash aquarium look great with the addition of the rocks! SWO is doing fantastically. I am not worried about this, but when some friends and I rode tatsu they were wondering if it was possible if the harness could come undone. I told them absolutely no chance, the harnesses can only be undone at the station and it is locked mechanically and not electrically (meaning that it is a pin locking the seats and not an electrical lock). Is this true? How do the harnesses stay locked, with no seat belt as backup, and not every come undone?
  16. Ya but the way you built it, you could test the two tracks together, so you still built from the station(s) forward. I think its cool you can do that and I want to learn how to do it! I understand its all one big track, but I do not get how you did that from the start of the ride and not build one ride all the way through and then build the other.
  17. How big is this park in comparison to TPP? Coaster looks great though!
  18. ^^Come on! It has the first twisting and heartlined loop, they just wanted to continue that theme throughout the rest of the ride.
  19. I'd love to here some feedback about TTD since that one is the one that I am really just guessing on, SheiKra and Insane have had a lot more time put into them. Oh well, I enjoy sharing these pictures with everyone even if no one talks. Insane went on a field trip to the human resources department and elitch gardens and got me a job and now it is getting its lovely third and fourth rails! Take a look. I had to stop with the sticks because I ran out, this project took a lot more wood than I originally thought it needed. I am getting pretty stoked with how this is turning out. Edit: who can name the coaster that is my screen saver?
  20. ^^Even still, I wish I could at least navigate the webpage to see what the park will look like and stuff like that. But I guess this way it is a surprise...which I guess makes it more fun!
  21. I wish I could navigate Happy Valley's webpage, maybe that way we could see some pictures of the Dive Machine and Mega Lite.
  22. IF this is true, it should delay the opening until late summer. Lets look at an example, Maverick at CP. Scheduled to open May 12, four days prior the park decided to pull three pieces of track and have them replaced with a less stressful s turn (over the present heartline roll). Intaride (Intamin, not sure which branch dealt with this, though I assume IntaRide) built three 40 foot sections of track, resumed testing and opened the ride just 18 days later, and that included redoing some supports as well. So I would think even if they had to redo part of the track, it shouldn't delay it that much. Granted these pieces are lift pieces versus Mavs regular track pieces. Regardless, I have to say I am a little disappointed over the poor quality of install and the constant reworking of the original plans. Ie) epic fail at the firehouse, the missing connector from track to supports and now the fail at the lift.
  23. ^don't even worry about it! I understood all of it and it was great to hear (or see) a personal review of the ride. I enjoyed it so thank you!
  24. Great TR, I enjoyed your personal touch and all the nice photos of the park. Definitely want to check this park out in the future! Sharktums- Count me in!! I want to do a euro-coaster-trip real bad!
  25. Can you post a picture of the entire park from way above? This has been rewarding watching the park grow and I look forward to your future parks!
