  1. Nice photo TR of the first part of the Texas Trip. Having just come off the Deep South trip I'm slightly jealous that the texas bus has tables, but oh well. Looks like everyone is having a good time, too bad I wasn't able continue the tour and go on to Texas.
  2. I just rode Hurler at Carowinds this past week during the TPR Deep South trip and it was just brutally rough. It felt like all my internal organs were being bashed around for a couple of minutes. I couldn't wait for the ride to end.
  3. Wow, well i just got home yesterday afternoon, so its a little bit late of a post seeing as how once I got home I completely crashed, was up well over 24 hours that last day. I had a great time on the Deep South Trip and met a bunch of really great people, I already miss everyone. It was my first TPR trip and one of the best ones to start out with, everything was pretty chill and easy paced. Most the parks were absolutely beautiful as well. The upcharge attractions were excellent. Did the zipline attraction at Dollywood, the Skyscraper at Pigeon Forge, and the Zorbing. I'm glad I took the chance to try these attractions as I might not have tried them had I not been on the TPR trip. Goliath, Mindbender, and Thunderhead were absolutely amazing. I cant believe that we were on Chatanooga's Channel 12 news, that was a fun segment to watch. I am already planning on what trips I want to do next year. My favorite memories will always be the snack song, as I still have it stuck in my head, and hanging out in the lobby late into the night getting into trouble, I have never laughed so hard in one night. One word: Squeegee.
  4. Wow thanks for the GREAT photo tour of Cliffs. I haven't been here since I was like 10. It was my home park for many years growing up in Albuquerque. I regret that every time I'm in town is during their off season. I really need to plan a visit up there sometime and get my NMR credit.
  5. Swing- Taking Back Sunday
  6. Here's my score: 15/20 And ya those older one's are hard, i guessed on most of those ones.
  7. Great photo TR! SFOG looks amazing! I can't wait to go this summer as part of the Deep South 2009 trip. The Monster Mansion ride seems very cool as well, maybe if we have time this summer I'll check it out. Dark rides are always an exciting way to exit the heat and be entertained, and if they're good its just an added bonus. It really sucks that the Deja Vu rides keep getting scrapped, hopefully it will end up someplace.
  8. Wow!! I loved Hoodie the Sequel. You guys are amazingly creative and so hilarious. Loved seeing Castles n Coasters in the movie too haha, gotta love Arizona! I love how you portrayed that without the hoodies its like you're stuck in Castles n Coasters he**, its brilliant. Good inside jokes too. Good job guys.
  9. Terminator sure is looking great! I'm really looking forward to riding it my next trip out there. I've only ridden one other GCI, Gwazi, so I'm sure this one will be excellent. I'm really liking the tunnels. And I just noticed from the pictures, are those spotlights on the top of the sign?
  10. Wow, thanks for all the great photos! Manta looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I didn't even know it was open already, i thought it still had a couple of weeks, oops! I'm already thinking of planning a trip to Orlando sometime this year to ride it. I'm loving all the positive reviews I've heard, and the theming is just amazing! Cant wait.
  11. Yeah been hot and sunny over here in AZ. We easily hit 90+ degrees several times this past week. Gotta love living in the desert.
  12. What's It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?- Taking Back Sunday
  13. I've listened to some of the tracks from Pop Goes Punk 2 and I liked what i've heard!! There are some great covers on it, including one of Toxic, Apologize, and Over My Head (Cablecar). I love the Punk Goes series and I am probably going to buy it myself! I'm extremely excited for Taking Back Sunday's new album "New Again"! I am also going to see them June 9th at the Marquee Theater in Tempe. I've seen them at Projekt Revolution back in 2007, and they were freaking awesome live there and that was at a big music festival, so at their own show i'm sure they'd be AMAZING! I'm also debating going to Vans Warped Tour this summer, some good bands are playing this year, i'm excited. I've never been before, have always wanted to go, so I think it'd be a lot of fun.
  14. Haha yeah!! I used to play those games alot and think the exact same thing!! I always thought it'd be cool to have a Sonic The Hedgehog themed roller coaster someplace! Lame I know! Everyday objects that remind me of roller coasters are hoses, wires and paper clips. I always find myself twisting paper clips into inversions. Also driving winding mountain roads with tons of hairpin turns remind me of wild mouse coasters.
  15. Technically my home park is Castles N Coasters in Phoenix, and its a 3 hour drive and in my 7 years of living in Arizona, I have yet to go there!! It's a goal of mine to make it out there and get my credits before this summer is over. Other than that I visit SFMM about once a year, and sometimes more. One year I had a season pass and I think i used it 4 times. LA is only a 8-9 hour drive from here, but who wants to spend all day driving!
  16. Very nice aerial pics of Silverwood. It looks like such a cool park, it's one that i'd definitely like to visit sometime. I have a friend that lives in Cour'd'Alene (sp?) and I'm always telling him I need to come visit and we can go to Silverwood in the process. Heheh. Crazy to see that much snow all around in April!
  17. Yeah I love my TPR pens from my orders!! My collection consists of 2 now, so if they last as long as everyone says they do, i should be set for the next year or two!! Thanks Robb!
  18. I'd have to say X2 and SheiKra have the best steel coaster drops that I've been on. X2, like everyone said is CRAZY! I love being flipped head first before being forced onto my back last minute, so fun! Sheikra at BGA is also a good drop. Sure it isn't the tallest, but hanging over the edge of the drop before falling vertically is pretty cool! I also remember getting some good hangtime on the drop. Oh i'd also like to add in Tatsu and Deja Vu as honorable mentions. Tatsu's drop isnt the amazing part, i'd say the peak of the lift is what is awesome about it. Thats a pretty nice distance between you and the ground below at the crest, the view is nice. And Deja Vu's first lift was crazy, i remember I about died the first time I rode it!! Crazy good hang-time there, followed by a nice vertical drop. Yeah, I need to experience more though and maybe i'd have some better answers .
  19. Last night i went to see New Found Glory, Bayside, and Set Your Goals at the Marquee Theater in Tempe, AZ. It was the first show of NFG's "Not Without A Fight" tour, and it was a good show. It lived up to its name as there was a fight being broken up almost every 5 minutes!
  20. The new restraints on the trains definately look interesting. I'm wondering if maybe there's still a chance for headbanging on that huge spread out grab bar there, i don't know. Hopefully it'll provide a smoother more enjoyable ride for a boomerang. Can't wait to try it out this summer!
  21. It would be nice to see Texas Giant get a complete refurbishment, especially with its current state. I've never actually ridden it but it looks like a great ride! I remember thinking it was impressive looking back when I saw it on one of the Wild Rides program 10 years ago. Giving it new track, trains, and all seems like a brilliant idea. I personally think that fixing up the Giant is a great way to celebrate the park's 50th Anniversary. Maybe I'll have to come over to Texas and ride it once it has been redone, and get my Texas Giant credit.
  22. Yup music is definately the best for the Coaster Expeditions series. I love watching Coaster Expeditions videos for the music and all the fun, hilarious commentary. I personally love the music choices, they really fit the segments very well. I still need to complete the collection, maybe I'll go buy those right now, hehe.
  23. Yeah, it's crazy to see how downhill this place has gone. Last time I went to the Adventuredome was back in 2000. At the time I remember it being a fun place. Canyon Blaster was actually my first coaster with inversions. Indoor amusement parks are definately a fun concept, especially in a location like Vegas. I'd like to see this place get a rennovation, that'd be nice, but i doubt it'd happen, too costly. Great report!
  24. My last beer was a Miller Lite the night of the Super Bowl. First time drinking that brand too.
