  1. Looks like its gonna be an exciting game! I don't follow sports alot, but this is one game i'll be watching. I've gotta support my state. So. . . GO CARDS!!
  2. -Workout more and get into better shape. -Save money for a newer car. -Move to Phoenix or someplace better. -Become Pharmacy Technician Certified. -Finish my Associate degree. -Hit more parks.
  3. I Don't Care by Fall Out Boy. The new cd sounds good, can't wait til its released this next week.
  4. Nice updates. Can't wait to see the vertical construction start! This ride and Manta are both giving me reasons to come back to Florida soon ! It'll be cool to see how this ride turns out!
  5. Wow, this would be so cool to go to. I've always wanted to work in the industry. Doubt that could ever happen though. Nice pics.
  6. Too bad i can't make the chat, I'll be working. I guess I'll just have to read the transcript later then. Anyways I sent in my deposit last night for Deep South. Hopefully it'll be a blast, I cant wait! This is my first TPR trip. I'm hoping to meet some interesting and fun new people. It just really sucks that I'm going alone, so I guess I'll need to break out of my shell while on the trip.
  7. I cant decide between the Deep South and Texas trips. It's not too late to send in a deposit right?
  8. We were at SFMM for fright fest of 06, and were in line for Deja Vu for about 45 minutes, then it broke down. We decided to wait it out for about ten to fifteen before being told that the ride would be down for a good hour or longer. It really sucked though as we right up towards the front of the line by that point. Oh well. So yeah thats the longest i've waited for a ride and then it broke. Gotta love Deja Vu!! Why we were waiting in line for 45 minutes for it to begin with was beyond us, its a good ride but much more satisfying with a shorter wait.
  9. Wow, i haven't been to Elitch Gardens since '03!! Cool photo tour. Hopefully they can continue making improvements at the park. Sad to see Flying Coaster go, was such an odd ride. Hopefully it'll be replaced with something better. Any news of that yet?
  10. Very good point!! I should've thought before i said that. Thankfully i just edited my post.
  11. I'm scared to death of spiders and stinging insects (bees, wasps, hornets, etc). Lol. I'm scared of heights too, (especially when its really easy to fall and become injured). That being said i hate high ladders!! I also get freaked out sometimes with hiking close to cliff ledges. I cant stand throwing up as well. It's a big fear of mine as well. . I hate it!! If i feel like i'm going to puke i get really uncomfortable and nervous. Hehe and when i was younger aliens used to freak me out!! I couldn't watch the x-files or i'd have nightmares. I've gotten alot better about that since then.
  12. I was excited to read the press release this morning!! I'm really looking forward to the park getting a new wooden roller coaster. I cant wait to see more details on the ride and to actually follow the whole construction of the ride. A new coaster is great!! It doesn't have to be extreme to be fun! Only other GCI i've ridden is Gwazi at BGA, and we all know how that one is! (in serious need of millennium flyers). I honestly cant wait to ride it next year!
  13. Wow great video of Loch Ness Monster, thanks!! I love seeing footage and photos of older rides in their "glory" days. This ride is one that has appealed to me ever since i was younger seeing it in a television program on coasters. That all kinda fueled my fascination of roller coasters. And you're right, nothing beats the look of an old-school arrow coaster. I love them!! There's just something about them i like. I still have yet to ride it though!! One of these days i will get over to BGE and ride it. Cant wait to see the stuff for Big Bad Wolf.
  14. I was at the park this past weekend as well. I had a really good time. Saturday was pretty busy, waited in line for 2+ hours for X2, but it was worth the wait (however sunday night i got on in 30 min) go figure. But yeah fright fest was great!! Only went thru 3 of the 5 mazes though, but it was still a lot of fun. Rode every major roller coaster at least once, with the exception of Deja Vu, the line was too long and the people in my group didn't feel like waiting so long. I definitely agree that the actors in the scare zones were great this year!! They were definitely having a good time and had good character development.
  15. Wow, cant wait, I'm excited!! This weekend better come fast!! Thanks for the fright fest pics robb!
  16. Ah yes!! Wood backstage is a good sign to see. I'm really looking forward to the official announcement though. Ah, the anticipation kills!! Lol. I really did like the "whales being transported thru space" idea. Very funny!! Nice to see the pics of all the fright fest decor set up. I always love going to the mountain for fright fest. I'll be there in two weeks, I'm excited!! Thanks for the update.
  17. Yeah I watched the show last night. It was okay, I was just happy to see a new coaster program on tv. That made me happy. I would've much rather seen Tatsu than Firehawk, IMO. And overall the program could've been alot better. I agree that it was very GP oriented, as most shows on the travel channel are. To me, the best part was seeing the Wisconsin Dells place, i forgot the name but it had some cool looking rides.
  18. Hometown: Safford, Arizona Closest Big City: Tucson or Phoenix, Arizona (2hrs. away)
  19. Last roller coaster i rode was Tatsu, and that was six months ago. I'm having withdrawls. .
  20. Ya i have around 6-8 park clothing items. I bought the Tatsu shirt from SFMM, three SFMM park shirts that i liked: one was a fright fest shirt, a Goliath SFMM shirt, an X hat, and i also bought "defy the 5" shirt from Busch Gardens Africa last summer. I try not to buy too many, only if i like them and they're on sale. I've gone to parks and seen shirts of rides that didn't even belong to the park, i've seen this especially at Six Flags parks in the past few years. Like a Ninja ride shirt at SFMM, with the graphics and stats obviously being for Ninja at SFOG. I was like, ummm that ride isn't in this park!! Lol, and it confuses the GP as they will see it and be all like "Oh wow, the Ninja is 115' tall!! And it has Five inversions, no way!! Lol. Okay i'm done with the slightly off subject run. I own 6-8 things. .
  21. Wow AMAZING pictures!! I really want to go to Cedar Point so bad right now!! I haven't been there yet, it's been on my "To-Visit" list for years now. Hopefully if all goes well I can get a job up there for the 2009 season.
  22. 1. What do you find most useful about the front page? The fact that it shows updates, thats good. One can easily see at a glance if there is something new posted or going on. 2. What do you find least useful about the front page? Hmmm, I dont really think that there is anything that could be called not useful on the front page. 3. Is anything on the front page confusing? Not really. It's pretty self explanitory and easy to navigate. Overall it's well organized however I think that the registration icon could be a little easier to find, just my opinion. 4. How far do you scroll down the front page looking for updates? I usually scroll down all the way to make sure i don't miss anything, especially if i haven't been on in a few weeks, but normally i'm on quite regularly. 5. How often do you look at the front page? Whenever I come to themeparkreview.com I take a quick look at the front page unless I have a direct place that I'm going. 6. How often do you click on the "whatsnew" link? I honestly haven't ever clicked it yet since I've been a member. SHAME ON ME!! 7. What would you like to see added to the front page to make your visits to TPR better? Random pictures from photo tours would be a cool feature to see on the front page. Those are always interesting. 8. Anything else you would like to mention? Like any thing else you would like to see us add/change/leave alone/etc? I think TPR looks great and is very well done. Any further improvements to make it look even better would be awesome. I'm sure everything will look great!
  23. Yeah, haha i agree that is kind of creepy and stalkerish thing to do. . . However I have a funny story about it. While i was at SFMM with my older brother and a good friend of his they both contemplated doing this, and this was four months ago. There were some really attractive girls that rode Scream! with us just a few cars back and walking past the photo booth they noticed them as we stopped to look at our photos. They jokingly asked if they could buy their picture. It was pretty funny. This reminded me of that!! But seeing as how you did it when you were younger, it's not too big of an issue but still kinda creepy.
  24. Wow, this was such an interesting post! This park has always caught my eye as an interesting place. Too bad it's no longer operating. I always wanted to check it out. This post gave so much more insight to it's great past though. Very cool.
