  1. This was an enjoyable and creatively fun thread to check out. I just found out about it yesterday morning and spent about 45 minutes looking thru all the memes! Congrats to all the winners. We should have more of these meme generating competitions.
  2. This ride just keeps looking better! I'm really loving how nice the drop looks, with that subtle twist happening, so sharp and sexy. I can't wait to see how this ride stacks up to NTAG (airtime wise), and can't wait to ride NTAG again! Technically this is going to be the Texas-Midwest tour's first inverting "wood/hybrid" coaster. It's going to be a good summer of RMC love. I do have a feeling that I'll really enjoy this park.
  3. Wow this news excites me! I have had Silverwood on my "to-do list" for quite some time now, it's just so out of the way and hard to get to. These teasers are definitely peaking my curiosity, and if they do build anything crazy for 2013, I'll definitely be going up to check it out! This will be a project I'll keep my eyes on.
  4. I must say that Gatekeeper is looking good! This thing is going to be awesome, can't wait to ride it this next season!
  5. Sent in a trip deposit for Texas/Midwest. I told myself I wasn't going to, but I got very tempted and caved. I remembered how much fun City Museum, Lambert's Cafe, and S.D.C were back in 2010, and I couldn't resist saying no. This really is a best of Midwest plus Texas tour, and I'm looking forward to it.
  6. Wow, thanks for posting the older "retro" photos of Rattler. It's definitely interesting to see what the ride was before they began drastically neutering and changing it. These larger wooden coasters from the 90s were cutting edge and probably being built ahead of their time; it's sad to see that they all didn't age well. Like with the Texas Giant, I'm a little sad that I never had the opportunity to ride the Rattler before undergoing the iron horse treatment, it'd be nice to have a before and after comparison. Totally looking forward to "iRat"though, the ride looks like a good improvement, and I really enjoyed NTAG, so I'm sure this won't disappoint.
  7. Wow, thanks for posting the photo tour Martin! This place looks very neat, it's going to be a must see for me next time I'm in Colorado. So great seeing how the rides interact with the natural terrain and cliffs. Growing up in the southwest and going hiking in the mountains often, the coaster geek in me would always creatively imagine how a roller coaster would fit overlooking a huge mountain valley or cliff-side. Nice to finally see it pictured, I've even had dreams about places like this. Looks absolutely breathtaking, I congratulate the park on it's efforts and hope they keep up expanding as they see fit.
  8. Looks absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to ride this in my next venture out to Orlando, I know this should be done by the time I make it back there!
  9. I was very excited to see this news! I enjoy Cliff's and have family that lives in Albuquerque, and having lived in Albuquerque myself when I was younger have some nostalgic ties to this park. I'm glad to see them building a great attraction and saving a classic, I'll definitely be heading up there when this opens. I think it's funny that we all think alike, I too was thinking a Euro-Fighter or something compact but punch-packing would be great for Cliff's, (especially since the park has been good about building a new attraction every season now for the last few years)- however a Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop is icing on the cake.
  10. I'm excited! I will be definitely be doing both days!
  11. This is such a great cause to join in with! Too bad I don't have a CF park close enough to attend and be directly involved, Knotts is like 9-10hrs away from me. I will however be making plenty of donations to those of you who are participating!
  12. Very tempting!! I can't wait to see what other summer events are opened up before planning & deciding for sure, but this could definitely be a great possibility!
  13. I've applied for the fall as well, but sadly I didn't make it past the web-based intereview. It kind of burst my bubble at first but oh well there's always Spring semester.
  14. Amazing photos of Shock Wave! This ride really is wonderful, I had such a good time on it at Texas Giant Bash this past May. Definitely one of my favorite Anton coasters, can't decide if I enjoy this or Mindbender at SFOG more, so hard as they're both such great rides!

  16. I'm loving the way this ride is looking already, can't wait to see more of it come together. *Sighs* looks like I'll need to make another trip to Hershey soon.
  17. Loving the coverage of IAAPA, great job & thanks! I'd definitely want to attend sometime, although I say that every year when it comes around! GCI's Big Fun looks bada$$, hopefully many smaller parks will catch on to their great concept!
  18. Amazing photo tour! Looks like you all had an exciting visit to the park, enjoyed all the great pics! Loved the fact they let you place 3/row on BTMR! I didn't know you could do that, good to know. I want to be back at DL now.
  19. Great photos of Aquatica. I really liked the park as a whole when I went last October, had an amazing time. And I agree about the Dolphin Plunge effect not being very noticeable, but a fun slide nonetheless. I really enjoyed the speed river during our visit, the group I went with spend at least an hour in there, fun times! It really is a well put together water park, thanks for allowing me to re-live some of my memories.
  20. Derek, great trip report man! Lagoon is definitely one of those parks I haven't been to and am wanting to visit very badly. Next time I'm in Mormon country, oh wait I live in Mormon country (Arizona), I'll hit it up! My mom and sister have the credits at this park and I don't, kinda kills me but whatever. SLC is only a 13 hr drive from me.
  21. Awesome!! So Glad to hear that we are getting to use them for the Road to CP. That should make our day at KI great. Thanks Elissa. I am interested to see how this system gets implemented in the other CF parks, when it finally does.
  22. Wow loved all the photos!! I'm so sad that I wasn't able to attend Japan like I had originally planned. Looks like everyone had an amazing time for sure.
  23. Great pics of Canobie Lake! Thanks for posting! This park does look very charming, I'm going to have to check it out next time I'm up in New England!
  24. Wow Adam, thanks for all the amazing photos of Cheetah Hunt! The ride looks so great! I'm in awe with how beautiful it is, I love how much Busch Gardens pays attention to small little details to make a great attraction and such nicely themed areas. Seeing your photo tour makes me want to get out to Florida again and soon!
