^ Make like Disney, and that beer can be ANYTHING you want it to be! -
I remember the first and Best Time we ever had on BTTF, was literally the first couple of months it was open in 1991! We lucked out and timed a week's stay in the Orlando area - Universal wasn't even a full year old yet, and we got to try this one out, fresh as it was. And I remember it being quite the ride it was. Always loved the 'launch' out of the garage, too. That was great! Ahhh - and it closes on me birthday too, dagnabit!

I thought the 'surprise' would be that R&A came in last - but it would be the first non-elimination step of the race! So they wouldn't be out of it,even after FINALLY coming in last - only starting last, with no $, blah blah blah. Ah well - that could've been an interesting ending, too, hmmm? Now - one of these pairs of 'blondes' has got to go next, hmm? Which to choose, which to choose.....

^ Thanks for letting me know about the bus service. I also intended to get to Central Station itself in Amsterdam and also the tourist information place that is nearby. I have been thru and to them a couple of visits now, so it won't be too hard to find. And yes, yes - unfortunately we found out about Queen's Day after we had gotten our plane tickets and planned our "day-of-travel between" Paris and Amsterdam... I should have checked and then we would have probably come in on the Sunday instead, hmm? Well, now I know. On Queen's Day, we arrive near 1700, so it will probably be crazy in the streets once we leave Central Stn. tugging our bags along, LOL. But we'll do okay. Only now I know better, thanks. And the other two dates you noted will be nice to take in, while we are there. Respecting the past is always a good thing.

I just realized! I'm going to be in Amsterdam from April 30, thru to May 10. That means, I can take the train to The Hague, catch a bus at which station to the park (?), spend the day there (I already figured out it will be open from 1000-1800 from the website) and get maybe... five credits??? I think I will be able to figure out which train to get to The Hague and how much it will cost for a return trip... Is there a particular station I should be taking the train to, for getting to this park? Nice, very nice. I will get to ride this coaster within the first month it's open... This is just like I did last visit, with the Amsterdam Dungeons and the "Reaper Drop of Doom" coaster, only open less than a month that visit in Oct.05. (EDIT! For those interested in joining a Canadian coaster fan, I am planning to go to the park on Thursday, May 03.... with a Theme park Review t-shirt on... )

The downside for the women could be that the HOT STUDLY BEEFCAKE who ever wins this contest --- turns out to be --- g-h-e-y? That would be so choice, lolol. -
Holy Land USA and NorEaster - Photo TR
Nrthwnd replied to Canobie Fan's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
^ Well, isn't it nice to know, there's enough creepy dead (or near dead, alo Egypt?) parks to go 'round for everybody in this little ole world of ours!!! Even Holy Land couldn't cut it by the mid-80's hmmm? Sad. Thanks for (shudder) sharing first part, and the NorEaster get-together. -
Well, well. Who knew that "She" was involved with Claire's well-being, hmmm? Never saw that one coming, heh heh. And poor poor Peter! Hope it's not "the end" for him. Paintings seem to show otherwise, I remember tonight. Good to see Nikki back in action, though. That was a good oomph to it.

New Gerstlauer Spinner- Update
Nrthwnd replied to Calaway Park's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ Already did Dragon Wagon and Mindbender on last visit there, few years back, but thanks for the reminding of, heh heh. The Sled and the new spinning will be the two new creds for me, there. -

Great! A good reason to take a drive over to Alberta for a ride-see ... hee hee hee. Oops. Forgot, I also still have a couple of creds at Calaway Park in Calgary, to pick up, too. Great! That means four credits between Edmonton and C-town. Sweet! -
The goose touch is nice, guy. Just don't let it poop plastic in yer pool, eh?

Congrats, guys. She looks lovely. And a Pisces, huh? Darn. I was hoping she'd be an Aries. Like....moi, heh heh. Wow - and she'll be what? Already half a year 'in existence' when the Japan Tour rolls around, lol? And FYI - I got out the Sat.paper here and found the horoscope section: So If Your Birthday is March 3... "Actress Jessica Biel shares your birthday today. You always do your homework. You work hard to prepare yourself for whatever you do. You're focused and goal oriented. Many of you have highly developed visual skills as well. Small wonder that you're very absorbed in whatever you do. Of course, this is a recipe for success. Expect a beautiful, social year ahead that favors relationships." So there ya are! Bright Blessings to you all.

I think I want the whiny blonde and her small companion to be next to be last. Those two are really starting to get to me, esp. when they keep pulling everything that everybody else is doing to each other. Then react when it's done to them as though they are pure as.... well, whatever. And the freaking out at the taxi driver was definitely not easy on the ears. Sorry the pitbull bros had to be axed. One of them was hurting really bad it looked like, anyway. Think he'd had enough of it all. Man, you think that some of them would start shaping up, knowing this was their second try AND chance at.. hmm? Like learning a stick shift on any car, for instance??? Hmmm. Next week. Might be a non-elimination I reckon....

Alton Towers Discussion Thread

Too bad the Arabian Nights haunted swing "wasn't in operation", during our June Tour last year. At Southport? Might have been fun to try, with Uber Cheese in there I'm sure... Of course, that wasn't The Only Thing(s) down for that memorable park visit. (two - OMG - two coasters down in one friggin' park!!!! Arrrrrgh.) I'm better now. But still - HEX is a pretty good swing... to be swung in, heh heh. -

That is the one "Je regret" that I knew I had with me on the TPR UK Tour back in June, last year. I had known about The Black Hole since it first 'appeared' at that far end of the Alton Towers property. And no matter how (ultimately) cheesy or just wierd one of these indoor coasters can be (thankyou BPB Space Invadersss )... you know you gotta ride them at least once hmmm? Too bad. Sorry it wasn't open "back then." Thanks for sharing what's (mostly) left inside of it, heh heh.
