Renegade POV Video!
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes, those backwards POVs are starting to feel/look more intense than the forwards ones! Good 'n freaky they is... Nice ones, Robb. -
And there we are now!!! Four creds down and... done, heh heh heh. Wasn't expecting a bit of a wander around - looking for the park's entrance - after the tram ride, from Den Haag centrall stn. But, found the back-butt end of the park (eventually), and walked and walked AND walkd up the crowded entrance "Parthenon" Gate. A hoot to see. Then, getting in, you are plunged into sudo-space adventureing with several thrill flats (Enterprise, being one of them, lol). All purple fake moundscape in the grass! Hid the Enterprise really well I must say. "X Formule" is what has replaced the (still listed at RCDB) Xtreme coaster. My old map I bought still shows Xtreme there, where X-Formule is now. Good little launched ride. Didn't have the overhang time with the harness/belt, like at Drayton Manor's version. Launch was fun, and it's all over in less than a half minute! Only got a one-ride on it. My timing with all the (four) coasters proved better than what I would have to face later on in the afternoon. So, got a ride each on X, Tristrix, Mine ride (mouse), Dynamite Express (powered minetrain)... Four out of four. Exhausted train back to Amsterdam Centrall, but worth it.

Got my return ticket to Den Haag centrall for tomorrow's visit to the park. And got the instructions for getting to the park from the station, itself. So - although it'll be a small park to visit... well, there ARE a few credits to be gotten there, heh heh. And I am looking forward to a smaller park to visit and enjoy, having overdosed on DisneyParis (and it's crowds) in the last couple of weeks, LOL!

Photo TR: Wes 2.0 Invades the Mystery Mine!
Nrthwnd replied to bgwfreak's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Excellent TR! I especially enjoyed a few of the 'distance shots' you took from the MM line itself, looking back to Thunderhead, etc. And that 'start' of the ride looks great, how they themed it, with the shaft timbers and all. Glad you had a good time there.... -

A Letter to Cedar Fair
Nrthwnd replied to CdnbMatt's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I agree with this. And they should look at investing in Playland here in Vancouver, too! Rich, prime property aching for landscaping and good attraction mainenance and ... new attractions, plplplease? (Just a whimsical suggest...) -
And no cheesy metal fronted "Scary Dark Ride" there either, huh? Sad, sad.

What - we get none in.... Idaho??? Truly trippy. I mean it. Rrrreully. Fer shizzle.... eh? And I think that HYDRO hasn't totally 'drained' out of you just yet, lol.

Photo TR: KidTums Goes to Six Flags Magic Mountain!
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Damn, I wish I had parents like that, at kidtums age! Looks like she's racking 'em up pretty fast there, hmmm? Creds, I mean, lol. Looking great there. She'll be an old seasoned pro (just like Jeff!) by the time, the Japan trip rolls around. -
Theme Park Review's 2007 Group Trips!
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
All trips combined are like 10 000 bucks, excluding flights. 06/29 - 07/07: Spain ($1800) 07/08 - 07/11: Netherlands, Germany ($700) 09/01 - 09/16: Japan ($4000) 09/17 - 09/23: South Korea ($1500) 08/02 - 08/13: USA midwest ($2000) Well, if you want to be piggy about going to everything, hmmm? -
I was usually excellent with math. And my parents should have pushed me towards what would be the (probable) obvious science for me... physics? But nooooo. I chose Chemistry. And just made it thru a forced summer test, after having a (then) C- average, lol. I hated chemistry. Totally. Loathed it. Still do. Phys Ed seemed more appealing, and I wasn't too keen on that, either, LOL. (and EDIT: Post #3300!)

Theme Park Review's 2007 Group Trips!
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Man, you guys are certainly keeping it available and affordable for everybody, I must say! If only... But it's great that you're figuring out new and different trips out, possibly in line with a TPRer out there, who can do it! Man, don't you guys ever slow down for a break or three? -
I wish "the *%$#&^* accent" would be exorcised out of Mirna's body! Why does she keep doing that, when she talks to ANY foreign local??? It's almost starting to sound 'patronizing' to me.... And I'm sure it's just a 'thing' she thinks is working for them. Eh.

Alton Towers Coaster POV Video!
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Well, I hate to tell you, but it was really nice just to slip along, all above the crowd, dipping and (sometimes) diving in and around everything.... I loved it, for a first-time 'flyer' coaster, you know? Didn't have to be 'fast', nor did it have to be very fancy with it's setup, either. I was fine with it, as it was. -

Chessington World of Adventures, Fast Pass?
Nrthwnd replied to piers's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Good news / bad news will be... Either it's a good deal for you, and you will get major use out of it. Or, it's a total waste of your money and you won't ever get it again. (Always worth a try, hmm?) -
