  1. Burger King for the block!
  2. Hmmm. The newspaper article about all of this FINALLY came out in one of today's (yawn) main newspapers. Ho hum. So "old-way-publicity"...
  3. ^ Where the above land height restrictions actually worked in "it's" favor, bwah - ah - ah.... Loved that beast back in June. My my, has it nearly been One Year already from the first TPR Tour to AT??? Of which I was so lucky to be a part of ??? Nooooooooooooo. Thanks for the TR. Great stuff.
  4. No, no Paul. They weren't attacking you.... They were WOOOORRRRSHIPPPING YOUUUUUUUU.
  5. Wow. That IS major renovations, heh heh. But remember, all. Disney was already changing (and had changed) things in his park, by the mid 60's, yes? Of course, I seem to remember that Critter Country (originally as Bear Country) only replaced the Native Indian 'settlement' and culture areas. And Tomorrowland was extended on land already earmarked for expansion, Still - just ten years old and already a Big Change Afoot, LOL! Or...uh.... aflight, hmmm?
  6. Went and applied for my passport renewal this afternoon... Actual time from taking the bus and rapid transit there and back, including the actual processing? ......... 2-1/2 hours! And - my Brand New Passport shall be delivered to me in three weeks' time. At no expense to myself! I also got to jump (surprise to me) a lot of 'the line' because I think I had everything ready, and nothing left to question, etc. I ALSO I think got the guy (who processed my application), turned on to Theme Park Review!!! He asked where I was going next with the passport, I told him about the upcoming TPR Japan Tour --- and I think he'll be checking the site out later tonight when he gets home from work, LOLOL! All in all, it could not have gone better with the application and all. And EEE-HAH for small wonders and miracles of the Passport Gawds!
  7. Today, I take in my renewal application for my passport. Hope the line(s) isn't/aren't too long, for waiting.
  8. "Don't worry." AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArgh! :
  9. You guys have way too many cameras there.... Good TR of a TR of a ... TR?
  10. It's been along time since we saw him. Puberty does wonders to teenagers. Um - due in part to the 'time line' of the series? It's only been about uh... 90 DAYS since the plane went down? I don't think puberty works that fast on a kid, lolol. "Something else" is going on with that, methinksss. (EDIT to ^: Could be 'Sawyer' hmm? Never know, heh heh.)
  11. Then, STOP READING THIS THREAD! (spoilers everywhere, lol) And to ^ - I agree. Next three seasons (or so) should be interesting if it all leads to an eventual end. Or beginning. (EDIT: Darn it. Missed it. Ahem. POST #3333! )
  12. ^ & ^^ Believe me, everything probably felt more "golden" when I first (on my own, circa.1975) visited parks like MM, Knotts and DL, heh heh. I do remember reading and hearing all about parks "back then," about there being something like 2000+ coasters built thru-out the USA? Couldn't imagine how amazing that must have been, even if (probably) half of them could be potential 'killers' or "prone to causing heart attacks" LOL. Ah - the good old daysss.
  13. ^^ Well, the future can always change, or be changed, yes? I'm just curious what all this is about "Jacob." That was first, utterly freaky the way Ben was acting in that shack. Then Locke 'hears' Jacob. Then, he gets shot and dumped in the pit 'with the others.' Then - the boy shows up to get him onto his feet and out of the pit - and that 'kid' is looking a tad taller and older I'd say on first glance, yes???? All possibly in Locke's head, granted. But still.... Yeah - lots more questions to be answered in (HOW LONG AGAIN???) a "few months time", heh heh. Hope the interest doesn't get (ahem) 'lost' by the new year....
  14. Well - it's late now, so unless somebody's taped the finale, and not planning to watch it, until say.... tomorrow/Thursday..... They shouldn't be reading this thread now, hmm? But - that was The Big Downer for me - near the end of it, there.
  15. Hah. You thought so, huh?
  16. The "Golden Age of Theme Parks," I'd say... Mid to late 70's. Twenty years after Disney started His Land. Young and (dare I say?) "innocent". Shows you what time, history, and population can do, hmm?
  17. ^ That one with Segal ended up using MM's Revolution for it's ultimate climax sequence, in the movie. And it was also one of the few movies at that time, to (gag) use the new movie experience called... SENSURROUND... Actually it was quite cool, (for us) at the time. When any coaster in the movie was diving into it's dips, these "sepecial speakers" (2 at the front of the theater, on either side of the screen and 2 at the back of the theater) would vibrate in low tones and the whole theater would 'feel' the vibrations of the coaster, heh heh. First done with the original "Earthquake." (EDIT: Actually, since that was off topic... I have a bunch of Viewmaster Reels of theme parks across the states, all probably made after these parks opened! And all of them, to a park, showed clean tidy places to take the wife and kids, heh heh. But then, that was part of the PR, 'way back when' LOL. Any way they could do it, including the Reels .)
  18. Cars "Race Rally" is basically a pair of figure 8 layouts, where the cars do a circle then 'change over' to the opposite circle, then back again, and so on. Don't know if that's what somebody called a "Break Dancer" flat ride, earlier. But it's my best description of it, lol. Single figure 8 setups are already at Disney, with Francis' Lady Bug Boogie at DCA, and (what I call the) Kelp Kups in Mermaid Lagoon at Tokyo Disney Seas. This is the first time they've designed an attraction with a pair of the layouts, close to each other. Old version of Cars' Race Rally. More 'complicated' too, heh heh. Can't remember where pic found. But thanks to 'whoever' took it...
  19. Darnit, I wish they were previewing when I was there back in April! But - great to FINALLY see some on-site pix of the two attractions. One thing that still puzzles me in the design of this new area.... Shouldn't the sign for Toon Studios above the gate, be viewed... backwards? I mean, it is the 'entrance' to the Studios from Toon Town, yes? Just an observe and question. Thanks for sharing the pix. They're great! I hope to be back there in a couple of years ('09? '10?) but am hoping a 2008 TPR Tour will include DLPR. Maybe.
  20. I smoked since I was 16, and (finally) quit, what? Some....... 32 years later??? The great news is, I quit (New Year's 2000/2001) cold turkey when cigs were (here in BC) over $5 Cdn a pack! Now? Up to .... $9.00 some places!!! Sooooo much money saved, hmmm? I think so, lol. And - nothing cancer-related after all those (cough cough) years of... I was (and am) very lucky, all things (and time) considered.
  21. Hmmm. Well, after leaving for Europe before the remaining four teams raced it out.... Sorry to 'hear' that our funny ghey guyz didn't make it to the final three. Hmmmph. )o: And VERY sorry to hear that Eric and Danielle (sp? what-ever...) won it. If it was to be between them and the blondes and the 'accented'/short ones (hah).... I would have gone with The Beau-tay Queenz. But - guess we took off for our trip, at the best time in it, hmm? After The Cha Chas were out - all 'eh' from there, yes? Oh well, you never know with these 'reality shows' now, yes? No? I mean, look at "Survivor" this time. Never stays the same, even with "All Stars", heh heh. (GO Rob'n Amber!)
  22. Amazing. Looking. Size. Wise. I envy all of you, who will be soon able to ride this MASSIVE thing! Thanks for the sharing of pix...
  23. Bump. Anybody seing any soft openings yet for Crush's Coaster and Race Rally? I saw them testing RR out, on my visit back in mid-April. And pretty sure I saw a turtle shell or three whiz by, outside in that impressive rockwork they've created for 'the scene', lol. I know that June 10th is the offical opening. But Disney soft opening things as they do.... Thought I'd ask.
  24. Track 18 - "Fantillusion Theme" 'Disneyland Resort Paris en musique' CD (2006)
