  1. three words
  2. La Feria was really a nice multi levelled park to wander through. For myself, one of the neatest parts of it, was three walk-thru tunnels, created within the wooden coaster, to walk to other rides and flats on the other side. Very cool to do. And Marvin was the clown with the umbrella, Chris. I think after your photo, he saw me taking the picture of the clowns and other people, then he scrambled up to where I was, took my camera away like yours ... then I stole his umbrella and ran away from him, HAH! Well, we made up, and got a great shot, together. A very sweet guy. Continued excellent TR, Chris. I am having fun, re-living the tour through you. And by the way, it was very nice to meet you on the tour. I hope you will do more of the TPR tours in the future. Stateside, or overseas. Always worth it. P.S, I forgot to add this photo, after your first posting. Nonetheless... it's of you and a few buddies at the restaurant we ate at, before the rest of you went to the Ballet Folklorico that evening. Here you are! The Three Muskateers.......and Laverne. And you look almost wiped out already, Chris!
  3. Well for what I know and enjoy of the series, a dark ride of this could start at the entrance... being a large TARDIS. Then the gp proceeds into a holding area which is like the inside of the current Tardis. Stuff happens, and then everybody has to exit where they came in. But the entire room has turned and gp exit into the building and the ride itself. Then the holding area revolves back to it's starting position, and more gp enter in, etc. The rest of it, I'll let everybody else figure out.
  4. First of all, there was a long, long walk up to the entrance near this part of The Wall, from where the bus parked. And honestly, after it was all done, all of us I am pretty sure, much preferred the way we went up there, on the alpine 'lift' coaster. There were still tons of walking to do, with a lot of steps, and all along the wall at the section we were closest to. And after that, everybody seemed pretty 'done' and really looking forward to just slow-coasting back down from it. (And the whole ride was included in our tour, too. Thanks Robb and Elissa!) And look what was waiting for us at the re-board station... Yum. But no can touch.
  5. Great start to your TR, Chris! Very funny in a lot of captions you posted with the pix. Looking forward to more of the visit - and when can we tour Mexico again?
  6. ^ Yeah, well, I'm being hopeful. Tis' the season etc. etc.
  7. ^ Because there are sooooooooo many knockoff coasters in China, (and TPR toured A LOT of them), it would just be a real surprise if the coaster gets made by an actual company outside of China.
  8. Has anybody heard or read about what (if any) attractions or services/shops are in possible jeopardy (i.e. not being built), due to this recent stuff about Iger being upset with how things are going with MyPass+ ? The Fantasy Land Boat Cruise in SD wasn't mentioned in any of what I read, of what projects were still proceeding, etc. But I was just curious. (And totally worrying, of course!)
  9. And.....? Are you going to get a chance to go back and find out how it's running, now?
  10. Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
  11. ^^ You sort of quickly had to turn that sound into white noise and just bliss out on the scenery. Or plug your ears, heh heh. ^ Cool! We now have Lift Hill:The Ride (Great Wall of China), as well as the original BENCH:The Ride (Bobbejaanland)!
  12. It was great! True, it was basic PR for her new cd, but it was all presented so well, and even Kermit was allowed to let his Little Froggie Monster out, LOL! And although most of the outfits were typical Gaga, she really sold the show with her songs and her voice, which was very nice. A first (to me) good TV special, this month.
  13. "Lean On Me" The great Bill Withers
  14. ^^^^ - Benny, how much did that pizza cost you? Do you remember? I remember when these machines were first introduced. TV reported on them, and they did mention a cost for one made, but that was then, etc. Just curious, thanks.
  15. It really wasn't the usual type of alpine slide/coaster we've seen in other parks. This was basically being used as a transport system up to the Wall, and back down, rather than walking all the way up. The sleds were in train setup, going up and coming down. So individually, you couldn't adjust the speed, or brake. But it was fun, especially coming back down, winding through all the trees.
  16. ^ Sharknado Ballet.
  17. ^ If you didn't know, there's a thread for this. And Walker's already on it RIP, but thanks for mentioning him here. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=51312
  18. I think those mine cars have the longest initialization of any coaster I have ever known and ridden, LOL. I stopped counting countries and Favs-Worst a few years back, sorry.
  19. Yes, I think it was, and the bobkarts were pretty good too, I remember.
  20. And with the beginning of a new month, the beginning of new hope, new horizons... ...and new ways to wrap that gift card you're giving.
  21. I was curious, but one of these past times, a SPAM showed up in the Random Forum. Is there a SPAM Warning thread in there, as well as here?
  22. ^ Well, at least you can get drunk, yes? Great insane TR here! The crowds look HUGE there. But that's okay - fun is fun, big or small crowd. Thanks for sharing it all
  23. (...and Rock-O-Plane is one of it's relatives, lol.)
