^^ Heck, even I like this! -
This is the thread this should have gone into. It was an ad in our Safeway food flyer, a few weeks ago. We got a half dozen. And it turns out they were nothing more than cinnamon and sugar donuts, but 'twirled'. i.e. the ones on the right. We were not that impressed with them. Probably should have tried the pumpkin ones, instead.

^ Huh. Thanks for finding this. And yes it is dear old corkACKscrew, with one of the Drop Zone towers in front of it, and Revelation to the left. Interesting that back when they had the public meetings, I asked if it was sold (this was in January?) because it was totally gone from it's old spot? And was told no, they hadn't found a buyer. So they just dismantled it and put it in storage. Hmmm. Maybe they decided to try, try again, and got lucky! Wonder who bought it? And I wonder, for how much? They were originally asking half a mill for it. And that didn't get a sale. So maybe they reduced the asking price? I know the old EXPO86 Coaster (then called the Scream Machine) went to SF-St.Louis. That park has my continued sympathy. Stay tuned I guess. Coming up next month. -

I like that they call the ride vehicles coaches. Don't know why. Just do. And they look awesome, too! -

^ Yes. Yes it does, Arby's deep fried turkey sandwich does count! Playing RCT? Must be at least a few years ago. I still have all the disks, but not touched them since - forever. When was the last time you donated (any) toys to a Holiday Collection Drive? -

Last night, actually! When was the last time you had turkey for dinner? -
Although I am not eligible to vote. I am going to play it safe, and hide out here in the TPR site, until the evening is over. Hard to go to other sites without "running across/into" new info. on The Election and all. And I'd rather not, right now. Until it's all over. One way or the other.

What does your house look like for Halloween?
Nrthwnd replied to odie's topic in Random, Random, Random
We were actually shocked how many people made it out and round the block, Saturday night. We went through more candy than we ever expected to. Thankfully, we didn't run out. And sorry, sorry, sorry for the fuzziness and out-of-focus look on most of these photos. Once again, I didn't have my reading glasses on, so using the viewfinder was hit and miss with me. (Between cocktails) But it was a fun night for everybody who came buy to "catch some candy" from us. It's always David's job to carve out a great pumpkin face, every year. With flash. I "wove" some glow sticks in and around our "wattle nests" in front. Blurred, but bright. Hmmm. I kind of like this shot, slurred and all. Our Candy Delivery System. And it worked! Me up on the porch. With my Tokyo Disney hat on. Better shot of the hat. (o; And David. Pleased with all we've done, there. -

Well, for what it's worth... McDonald's is bringing back the McRib sandwich in December, at select franchises.

It was interesting to me, that over in Tokyo Disneyland, there's a Single Rider entry for Splash Mountain. But in order to get a seat, the ride ops first ask the solo rider in their 'log' if they would mind sharing the seats? Usually, it's an okay situation. I haven't been refused yet, lol. Also, I just remembered. When we visited Disney Resort a year ago, we had to share a 'cage' (non-moving) on the Ferris Wheel at California Adventure. We sat opposite a couple who didn't appear like they were interested in any 'chat.' And David and I kept our eyes looking outside, trying to get some kind of photos during the ride. But they just sat us together, no questions asked. And they never talked with each other, which was awkward as well to us.

I have always loved the look and the cycling of that NebulaZ, when I first saw it demoed at the convention Robb & TPR covers for us. Sorry, forget it's Official Name. It's an age thing and that's my excuse. But I always thought that this would a great flat ride to have at Playland in Vancouver. When they started enlarging the park. And adding new rides and attractions, etc. -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

<sighs> Well, it was a good ride, as usual. Coaster at Playland(PNE). And I wish I'd ridden it more, last Thursday night. It's c-c-c-c-cold, man! -

^ Thanks. And by the way... I forgot to mention and THANK all the people who worked at Playland during these times, SLAYland included. I think they put together a really good approach and layout to this year's October Event. There were no walk-thru haunts, but they put together a really impressive...uh...."Exhibit" of bits of all the haunts, with a few safely-placed scare actors (Hi Drac!), too. And definitely not for young children this one. I honestly think that the Haunted Train Ride might be too intense for them, as well as this walk-thru. My 5 Cents, And any Playland person I had to speak to, was courteous, informative, and always wished me "a Great Night!" Great bunch of people over at Playland, they are. P.S. Also, Customer Service was so great in phoning for my pickup ride. I don't own a cellphone, so it was great for them to do that. Thanks! Thanks, Scare Actor and Playland(PNE) Exec.! Have a Great NEW Year...Next Year, hee hee!
