Ken's Random Adventures of 2013 Trip Reports Thread
Nrthwnd replied to kidcoaster 2's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
^ Ah, more Disney Sea. And all that off-park Tokyo sight seeing! Awesome! All the time, I am so into Tokyo Disney, I often forget what a really great city Tokyo is! And your report certainly caught me up on that, lol. Thanks! But... sardines with your seeds and nuts? -
Tokyo Disney Resort Discussion Thread
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Checked in with the Tokyo DIsney Resort Events Schedule, and if you're a Princess or Wild about That Bear, Duffy - TDLR has you covered for the next few months. Tokyo Disneyland January 14 - March 20 "Disney Princess: Welcome Little Princesses" Tokyo DisneySea January 14 - March 20 "Sweet Duffy" Of course their 30th Anniversary The Happiness Year, at both parks, is running until March 20. And some people definitely enjoy their Duffys. This was taken on the Steamer Transport, that circles around the TDS waterways. -
Wow. Watching the video, I did keep flashing back to Southport, and replacing all the vegetation with the building beside the coaster, the views across the water (to Blackpool). And I distinctly remember that first (left) turn after the first drop, we were "paddling" along to keep the damn thing moving, lol! Looks like it's running a bit faster, here.

What's your favorite Theme Park Souvenir?
Nrthwnd replied to bert425's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Well, lots of other souvenirs could be considered expensive too, depending what you're looking for. Depends on the park, the country, the economics, blah blah blah. With on-ride photos, there are some parks who do "Two for a Cheaper Deal", that you can share with friends along with you. That means you pay less, per photo. Easy. If you're on your own though, I agree it can get pricy. But that's part of theme park spending, yes? You'll just have to get used to prices for stuff in parks, you wouldn't be caught paying outside of the park, lol. -
Mark's Postcard Paradise
Nrthwnd replied to thrillerman1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Yes, Pandora (the planet, from the film) is going where Camp Minnie/Mickey used to be. Construction walls are already up, I believe, if you check the DAK thread... Here's a current fave postcard I picked up at Rusutsu Resort, during the TPR Japan Tour last summer. I was amazed how many coaster (8, I believe) were packed into that multi-leveled amusement park. Hope to go back there, in a future Japan Tour,. EDIT to add: I also want to add this was The Only Park, where I rode classic coasters {SLC, Corkscrew, UltraTwister...) that did not beat me up! And it made me realize, that this park really takes care of it's rides and coasters. Bravo! How many coasters can you see in this postcard? (o; -
Just came across this listing, at the Hong Kong Disneyland site. It's part of updating the menu at the Main Street Corner Cafe, which is really on par price-wise with The Blue Bayou at most MKs and Walt's in DLP. Pricy, but oh so good. And a great parade view, some times. Here it is.... a new dessert! Coca Cola Creme Brulee. Seriously! I am so hoping that logo is NOT actually on the brulee. Still... (o;

Jason took such an awesome BETTER photo of Bayside Station at the Tokyo Disney Resort, I asked him if I could use it for my (much better centred) avatar. He said "yes' and so, I did! My shot - just a wee bit off-centre, lol. Jason's great "dead-centre" photo shot. (o:

^ We're finally getting the Book of Mormon tour, in April 2015! Gawd, I can't believe how long we're gonna wait. But, we know it'll be worth the wait.

^ Yes, I had a hard time, choosing myself, which one I liked the best of those two. And on further look, I think I prefer the darker trees in the way of the sunset. That means for myself, the first one is preferred. But still, I am happy with the both of them. Again, thank you for the compliment.
