  1. " You know how to whistle, don't you? You just put your lips together and...... blow." - Lauren Bacall "I'll have what she's having." - From "When Harry Met Sally" "I love food. If I don't love it, I don't swallow." - from "Ratatouille"
  2. Wow, I was getting dizzy just looking at these photos! I do hope I'll be able to (eventually) get back here and ride it.
  3. Shirley and Max - RIP
  4. Actually I heard....2016? This park is really something to look at. Big Statues of Sea Life Everywhere! I love it!
  5. Fox News Fun House? Not Fun at all, I'd say. Disgusting House more like it.
  6. Target. Now there's a challenge for a ride/coaster. And if they ever make dark rides of the American Horror Story series.... I might pass. The opening credits alone for those (and True Blood) freak me out!
  7. We used to have a Zipper show up during our annual fair, the PNE, but they've stopped bringing it, for several years now.
  8. "You leave your roller coaster attitude at home!"
  9. Did anybody ask..."Won't that be a bit of a queue mess, if some of the gp want to ride a specific 'song vehicle'? Or does it have four lines - one for each 'song vehicle'?" I know, very unlikely that last question. But still, what if? Just curious here.
  10. Mmmm, really nice coverage on the Disney parks, Jason. I am still not happy about not being able to go back this March (doing the Scandi tour, can't afford both). Hopefully, in 2015....maybe? Or 2016 with the China Tour! Looking forward to more great photos and commentary, Jason. And you got a better shot of BAYSIDE STATION than I did!
  11. I don't feel like reading all this.
  12. Oh, there's never too much to read about Tokyo Disney Sea. Great shots of everything you saw, Ken. And you noted that un-used space, too! That is such a big piece of land, I am so hoping whatever they decide to put there, I am still around, LOL!
  13. Alien Encounter at the MK in WDW. That was supposed to be a theme park game changer (darker) for the Disney Company. But all the pre-warnings couldn't stop those families from pouring into it, and then having the poop scared out of the parents as well and the children. Complaints happened, and then it was closed up. At least Disney proved it could get darker with an attraction, way more than "Snow White's Scary Adventures." I wish I'd had the chance to try it out, at least once.
  14. We are so sad we had to miss this part of the beginning of the tour. Couldn't afford the extra few days to tack on. Must go back to Kyoto and Hirakata next (not this one in March) Japan tour, please? Thanks for the great ongoing TR, Robert.
  15. I cannot post any more, at this time. Getting it wrong, most of the time. Later.
  16. I agree, sadly, That immediately came to mind after I posted. My bad. Still, here's hoping. Random doesn't sit well. I mean, if you wanted Classical, but were played Hip Hop? KInd of kills the ride experience. The mix soundtrack is possible I guess. I haven't experienced any, that I can remember, like that. For me, IMhO.
  17. ^ Sorry, I took only a few pix, and they were all outside of the coaster in action. There's a link in the Park Index, to the park and the coaster, which DOES have a station photo in it. Oh heck, here... http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/park.php?pageid=129
  18. The newest trick I've seen of these things, is their inserting the SPAM into an already exiting thread, as a post, with the link embedded. Those are fairly easy to watch out for. And it can be reported, too. The ( !) is there in the post, as it is in all posts.
  19. I think the one that really surprised me, was the entire queue and station of Black Mamba in Phantasialand park. Sunlight and outdoors all around you at the start of the queue, and then they take you "deeper" into the ground, and the actual loading station is definitely 'a touch' darker with the lighting, but you can still get your seats etc. w/o problems. Still, a bit creepy and awesome!
  20. This whole thing just reads wrong, from start to finish.
  21. ,^^ Which brings up the question, are this coaster and Hollywood Dream in Universal Japan, the only two coasters with this "personal soundtrack" thing in them? EDIT to add: This also brings up the possibilities of the "personal soundtrack" becoming one of the Next Big Things to start blooming all over the world, if this El Loco works successfully with it. Even though Hollywood Dream has been doing it for several years, it's still awesome for another coaster (finally) to use this technology, too. And in the US! and ^^^ If this is sort of the same system as on the Japan coaster, you will be able to choose your own soundtrack, as you sit in the seat! You just push one of several embedded buttons, having to remember which one is for which track. They post this all along the queue, so you are pretty prepped to decide, by the time you get into a seat. And BTW - the "J-Pop" on the bottom two buttons were the Japanese Dance tracks. And the "Classical" was I believe, an original "quick piece," composed solely for the coaster ride. It was pretty EPIC, too. I enjoyed them all, actually. Hollywood Dream - one of the signs. The buttons in the seat restraint. Easy! If you don't choose, it stays with the #1 choice, in this case, Rock. (Photos thankyous to TPR.)
  22. ^ Hmmm. I need to win myself a lottery, and then get an ongoing reservation with the Tokyo Bay Hilton.
  23. ^ Cool, I agree with that, about the pins. I would say there's way more Duffy collecting, than the pins. But still, the iconic Ears caps everybody knows about, just aren't part of these parks. The 'ears' show up on everything else, I guess I should have put it. Like the headbands, mini-hats w/clips, over size hats, like the one I got last summer. Like this one. Thanks to Dan for the frightening photo, lol!
  24. ^ Okay, I haven't read everything about the setup for this. It just sounds daunting to deal with, but then I remember Fast Passes weren't that easy to get to know, either. Thankfully, we're not considering a visit to WDW till 2017, so with it all in place (hopeful) by then, I'm sure it will be easy to understand and use, for our benefit.
  25. Can I ask a not-too-asked question but, what if you don't have a cell phone? Neither me or my partner do, and we've still never had a real reason to have them. But still, for this new thing. Are we going to need to actually rent cellphones and put time on them, for our trip, just for this? Curious, and need to know for a future tour, possibly.
