  3. It's Wallace & Grommit at Blackpool for the Holly-Daze!
  4. Deck The Halls Mannheim Steamroller
  5. Ideal ~ Going somewhere, anywhere in the coming year. Realistic ~ Not going anywhere next year except (I hope) Playland(PNE), saving up, and heading to Europe in the fall of 2022.
  6. This park actually reminds me of a few (?) parks we visited in the TPR 2012 China Tour. They looked similar to what you found in this one... i.e not much open. And not looking like the rides were kept in good condition, etc. Very bizarre and challenging trip that was, when such parks were visited.
  7. Sadly, Ann Reinking has "left the stage." She was 71. RIP Annie. https://www.broadway.com/buzz/200230/tony-winning-broadway-legend-ann-reinking-dies-at-age-71/
  8. ^ Um... now it's your turn to ask a yes/no question....? (Four Hours later....) Eh - Do you like jelly beans?
  9. I was just going to post "Why?" But you two seem to have it all covered.
  10. That very first photo of Wonder Woman.... And you had Bert with you, too. Excellent! Thanks for sharing it all. Wonder Woman and Fiesta Texas is one of those parks I'd really like to visit... some day, some how.
  11. Of all the holiday songs I hear on the radio, the ones that absolutely turn me off, are the ones that have lyrics like "It's Christmas baby, please come home." Or "I miss you so much, please come back to me." I mean WTF happened in the first place to these people? Why were these holiday songs written like that? They broke up. He probably beat her. But now she wants him back? And he's all in tears because "she won't come back to me." Yeah, well why bro? Why did she leave you in the first place, anyway? These are truly dumb songs that don't deserve airplay, no matter how "iconic" etc. they are. My rant and that's it. Ho ho ho.
  12. Well........crap. Yesterday, just after 5:30 pm, we arrived at the entry area to go through, and on to the displays. And we're met by several guys who all look like they're policemen. One of them comes up to our window. David starts showing the ticket, and more or less he tells us "it's cancelled." David asks why, and we get a not very happy answer.... something to do with our Provincial Health Official making the call to not open Winter Nights up. And he didn't want to tell us anything more. And wanted us to move on, "that way towards Hastings St." What a bummer. He didn't exactly give us any info. on where or how to get a refund. And there's nothing on the PNE site (last time I checked), that indicates what happened yesterday. So Monday, I guess it's a email directly to the PNE asking what happened, and do we get our money back? Ho ho f-ing ho. Happy EDIT to Add: Just called TicketLeader (who sells tix to PNE's events) and they are refunding my credit card for the ticket. And yes, they were very unhappy about having to cancel yesterday. But only one day. So it'll still be happening, starting today and through to Dec.30th. Jolly jolly. p.s. Yesterday was the only day we could do this. Unfortunately. Hopefully, maybe, they'll do it all again, next year!
  13. This just in! Looks like Andrew Lloyd Webber is tackling an old fairy tale for his next musical. Scheduled to start performances next year. Some time, next year. We hope.
  14. Well, that was fast, LOL! Well, we got our car back this afternoon. So it's ON with our ticket tomorrow 5:30-6pm... Yes! The ONLY thing we still haven't learned, is what Food Trucks are being a part of this event? Nothing posted at this time. <sighs>
  15. ^ Heh, funny you should mention your back porch... Here's our back yard upper deck, off the kitchen, with it's sad little string of yellow lights. Year round, too. We dearly need new lights in this area! You can barely make them out, right? (Photo taken several minutes after 4pm.)
  16. ^ Hey, this is a non-judgemental thread here. All burgers welcome! Including those with eggs.
  17. With a bit more "open space" in the front yard area, we bought a couple more strings of lights and a few yard things, like candy canes and snowflakes, etc. Didn't turn out too bad, considering we hadn't done in front of the porch for years! A mess of new lights. Planned chaos, lol. How it looks from the sidewalk. A bit closer up. Still fuzzy.
  18. Mmmmmmmmm....BACON! Just found this great "chart" to show how different ways of cooking BACON using (roughly) same cooking times used, with... Baking (Parchment) is in the middle of it all, and seems to be The One that got a 10/10 score, after all were tried. And eaten. <g> Something to know, when you want that bacon on your burger! https://getpocket.com/explore/item/we-tried-8-methods-of-cooking-bacon-and-found-an-absolute-winner?utm_source=pocket-newtab
  19. BUMP with new Info! Winter Lights Drive-Thru has now added dates/times between Dec.28 and 30th! https://www.pne.ca/winterlights/ Happy EDIT! It looks like we're getting our car back, this Thursday afternoon. So, we can do tomorrow's Winter Lights visit! YAY! A bit of what we're going to see, tomorrow. (o:
  20. I'm trying to be "in the season", so am listening to past holiday cds I have bought through the years. Tonight is a great treat - Bette Midler and her Cool Yule album. Released in 2006. Really nice stuff.
  21. "N" Is For NBC and Netflix! Heads up, for the next few days on TV! Tomorrow night, is an NBC production of "Dr.Seuss' The Grinch" musical special! Starring Glee alumni and Broadway fave Matthew Morrison as Grinchie. Starts around 8pm ET. (Look it up on your local schedules, etc.) Next up is Thursday's "One Starry Night" hosted by TINA FEY, and featuring musical numbers of Broadway shows, shut down by you-know-what. This is also on NBC, starting at 8pm ET. Finally, the long awaited Ryan Murphy's treatment of the Broadway fave hit, The PROM. With a nice mix of Broadway and Hollywood leads (Meryl Streep! Andrew Rannells! James Corden! Nicole Kidman!). Starting Friday on NETFLIX.... and "Select Cinemas." Ho, Ho, Ho!
  22. If they had that snow plow 'ride' available, that'd be great!
  23. "Eyes Of A Stranger" The Payolas
  24. ^ Great looking ongoing collection, Joey! And is that a TOMICA TDS Soarin' ride vehicle there, on a shelf? Or not? It looks very nice.
