  1. We're hoping to make it over to Disney Paris (and Eiffel's Tower, Musee' Dorsay, etc.) near the end of the decade. This will certainly add to the excitement of getting there! I think it's our fourth visit to the resort. This time, like last visit, staying onsite. Sequoia Lodge. Wonderful past stay there. What the room used to look like, in 2019. Of course Bambi made an appearance, there. Sweet, but not very 'woodsy' to us.
  2. omgomgomg..... that's the"Plane On A Stick!" Too bad it wasn't operating, during your visit there. Great shot of it, 'parked', lol. Great TRing of your entire cruise and land adventures, Adam.
  3. sfMexico was one of my favourite SF parks that I've visited, over ten years ago, with TPR. Great rides, great atmosphere...and great drinks, too! Great TPR tour that was, in March 2013. Several of our touring bunch. No, it's not saying GOD .... Medusa, before the re-tracking re-do, was my # 600 coaster! Yay!
  4. Well this is an unusual post for any amusement/theme park's 'history.' Just discovered this article in our local paper..... 'Historically Significant Find: 1870s Cannons, First World War machine-guns unearthed at PNE' https://vancouversun.com/news/historically-significant-find-more-military-artifacts-found-during-excavation-of-pne-land This is in conjunction with the PNE now clearing land, and building a new performance amphitheatre, scheduled to open next summer. Cool!
  5. Got an email yesterday, that sort of went like this... Hello. Your season pass will be available for pickup on the first day of Playland! (Sat. May 17th) Kind regards, Mason (They/Them) TICKETLEADER (Hopefully, I will be shown the right ticket booth for pickup, OR pick it up at Customer Services which is right as we enter the park.)
  6. My, my, how time flies by. Most of my baking was done in the second year of Co-Vid, 2021... That said, it's time to get back into 'making bread,' from time to time. YUM And if you yourself, have a favourite bread recipe you enjoy making and baking... well, post the photo(s) Please!
  7. Hot Damn! But I forget now, how many coasters are in and/or around CW's Mountain, there? It's quite the use of space in one place, heh.
  8. ^^ They all look amazing!
  9. Not worth all that money (+ Time) to get there, etc. IMhO
  10. Am curious, if any TPR members in the Tokyo area (or having visited), have seen any more construction on the new Space Mountain, etc? With photos, too, please? Thanks, in advance!
  11. Now remember, everybody. Tomorrow on Wednesday, it's. April 16 – National Eggs Benedict Day / Day of the Mushroom Two for the price of one date!
  12. FINALLY, and after one+ months since the 'usual reveal dates & shows', BAC (Broadway Across Canada) is "revealing all" on April 30th. Then, I have till May 13th to decide whether to buy this coming season .... or not. And either Pay In Full, or do the monthly subscription... (I am hoping & Juliet will be in the coming season.. Our current BAC season, we're seeing SIX next month.) And speaking of musicals, Broadway's TONY Award NOMINATIONS happen on May 1st. So a literal avalanche of musicals are opening, in the next couple of weeks, before the cutoff date (April 27th). Whew! Stay tuned, till the noms are out. ^ Last Year's PR for the 2024 TONY Awards ^
  13. This season's two Passes (Fun and Thrill) are still on sale, till May 21st. https://www.pne.ca/playland-season-passes/ Save $20 now. And these passes are on sale, for cellphone use, only. There is an additional charge for Passes that are printed up.
  14. If I'm still able to move around (adequately) in my late 70's, and travel w/o too much trouble, this might be The Universal Park, for me to visit. Hopefully, the Pound Sterling - Cdn Dollar Exchange won't be too outrageous by then.
  15. Xcelerator Knott's Berry Farm (Buena Park, California) Operating since 6/22/2002
  16. <sighs> Would really, really like to experience it all. But, way too much $$$ for several days there, and at Disney. So for now, we're saving up for Tokyo Disney Resort for 1928-29.
  17. Well, someone(s) should be congratulated at really putting some thought into the front coaster car. Great design!
  18. ^ We're not touching our back yard till mid-April, lol. But for now ... Just bought online, a new copy of a 'revival' of young Stephen Sondheim's First Musical "Saturday Night", that never made it to Broadway, because one of the Big Backers of the show, had a sudden heart attack and never recovered from it. Truth! This is the newest version of it, from London. has some well-critiqued melodies and songs in it. So, am looking forward to it, and hearing some "New/Old" Sondheim!
  19. I was wondering .... did a lot of the group already have their Oktoberfest outfits for the trip, or did some go to one particular shop for the gear? I would have loved to do that!
  20. My eyes hurt, from reading all that.
  21. ^ That's true. Once the foundation is laid, and they actually start building, we'll know soon enough.
  22. ^ Don't shave, sry. This quote made me laugh out loud... "Trump Says He Loves Canada, but It Should Not Exist"
  23. ^ Have to contradict you, as several Disney World sites are now posting that a track-based ride will be created. Here's a post headline from one of those sites: "Walt Disney Imagineering Confirms New Cars-themed Rally Race Attraction Will Use Track-Based Ride System Despite Rumors" (BlogMickey.com) That's what I've been finding. And I am kinda sad that it won't be trackless.
  24. Has anybody heard or seen recent news, that the Disney CARS attraction in MK won't be trackless and instead, be tracked like Racers in DCA? Just wondering, here.
