  1. My, my, how time flies by. Most of my baking was done in the second year of Co-Vid, 2021... That said, it's time to get back into 'making bread,' from time to time. YUM And if you yourself, have a favourite bread recipe you enjoy making and baking... well, post the photo(s) Please!
  2. Hot Damn! But I forget now, how many coasters are in and/or around CW's Mountain, there? It's quite the use of space in one place, heh.
  3. ^^ They all look amazing!
  4. Not worth all that money (+ Time) to get there, etc. IMhO
  5. Am curious, if any TPR members in the Tokyo area (or having visited), have seen any more construction on the new Space Mountain, etc? With photos, too, please? Thanks, in advance!
  6. Now remember, everybody. Tomorrow on Wednesday, it's. April 16 – National Eggs Benedict Day / Day of the Mushroom Two for the price of one date!
  7. FINALLY, and after one+ months since the 'usual reveal dates & shows', BAC (Broadway Across Canada) is "revealing all" on April 30th. Then, I have till May 13th to decide whether to buy this coming season .... or not. And either Pay In Full, or do the monthly subscription... (I am hoping & Juliet will be in the coming season.. Our current BAC season, we're seeing SIX next month.) And speaking of musicals, Broadway's TONY Award NOMINATIONS happen on May 1st. So a literal avalanche of musicals are opening, in the next couple of weeks, before the cutoff date (April 27th). Whew! Stay tuned, till the noms are out. ^ Last Year's PR for the 2024 TONY Awards ^
  8. This season's two Passes (Fun and Thrill) are still on sale, till May 21st. https://www.pne.ca/playland-season-passes/ Save $20 now. And these passes are on sale, for cellphone use, only. There is an additional charge for Passes that are printed up.
  9. If I'm still able to move around (adequately) in my late 70's, and travel w/o too much trouble, this might be The Universal Park, for me to visit. Hopefully, the Pound Sterling - Cdn Dollar Exchange won't be too outrageous by then.
  10. Xcelerator Knott's Berry Farm (Buena Park, California) Operating since 6/22/2002
  11. <sighs> Would really, really like to experience it all. But, way too much $$$ for several days there, and at Disney. So for now, we're saving up for Tokyo Disney Resort for 1928-29.
  12. Well, someone(s) should be congratulated at really putting some thought into the front coaster car. Great design!
  13. ^ We're not touching our back yard till mid-April, lol. But for now ... Just bought online, a new copy of a 'revival' of young Stephen Sondheim's First Musical "Saturday Night", that never made it to Broadway, because one of the Big Backers of the show, had a sudden heart attack and never recovered from it. Truth! This is the newest version of it, from London. has some well-critiqued melodies and songs in it. So, am looking forward to it, and hearing some "New/Old" Sondheim!
  14. I was wondering .... did a lot of the group already have their Oktoberfest outfits for the trip, or did some go to one particular shop for the gear? I would have loved to do that!
  15. My eyes hurt, from reading all that.
  16. ^ That's true. Once the foundation is laid, and they actually start building, we'll know soon enough.
  17. ^ Don't shave, sry. This quote made me laugh out loud... "Trump Says He Loves Canada, but It Should Not Exist"
  18. ^ Have to contradict you, as several Disney World sites are now posting that a track-based ride will be created. Here's a post headline from one of those sites: "Walt Disney Imagineering Confirms New Cars-themed Rally Race Attraction Will Use Track-Based Ride System Despite Rumors" (BlogMickey.com) That's what I've been finding. And I am kinda sad that it won't be trackless.
  19. Has anybody heard or seen recent news, that the Disney CARS attraction in MK won't be trackless and instead, be tracked like Racers in DCA? Just wondering, here.
  20. Awesome TRs of Alton Towers, Bert! And I love that perfectly placed DONUT SHOP in front of Oblivion's drop, heh. And I would love getting one of those models of the Wicker Man coaster cars. Very kewl looking.
  21. ^ I wouldn't be surprised if they did, indeed, use the rotating seats in the attraction itself, like Cosmic Rewind. I envision one part of it, where the seats turn, and you're gliding (and facing) past a whole wall of doors. Or like you said, the seats may remain facing forward, and only turned when unloading/loading it. Eventually, we'll all find out! ...... Ding Dong!
  22. ^ Well, they appear to have covered "everything", there. I think. Ha ha? One of my fave Oakwood pix, is of their drop (?) tower And the .... uh .... statue of it .....? On the UK-Europe Tour, 2010.
  23. Oakwood Park is CLOSING??? Or so the rumors go. It was one of my fave parks in the UK to visit, with TPR. And I gained my 100th coaster credit there, which was really cool to do. I will miss it w/ Megafobia, Bunny Sex Tunnels, Speed, Treetops Coaster..... Myself, on my #100 coaster: Clown Coaster. Oakwood Park, Wales. 2006 TPR UK Tour.
  24. Food Trivia: Avocados are also known, as Alligator Pears. And they are classified as a fruit. Huh. I forgot all about that. Yum.
  25. ^ Still. That 'jambalaya' on the rice ... or whatever it was .... no thanks. * * Unless it was a curry? Then, forget all of the above, lol.
