  1. Musical POP QUIZ Question! I just found this out, so try and answer w/o looking it up, etc. For the Broadway Musical Candide, Leonard Bernstein wrote the entire score, there's no question about that. BUT - how many lyricists has "Candide" had, over the years? No peeking, ok? More than one, I discovered. And as a bonus...... Stephen Sondheim was one of them.
  2. Joker Six Flags Mexico (Mexico City, Mexico) Great fun house queue, too! First one I'd ever been through. And I loved it! TPR 2013 Mexico Tour.
  3. Thanks for the great videos! And we hope you're getting better, okay?
  4. ^ Sorry. I looked around but couldn't find .... NFT buyers? Thanks in advance.
  5. Recent TOMICA Tokyo Disney Resort purchases. All of them bought on eBay.com ...... A Toy Story themed Midtown Cab in TDS. Just bought this one. The 2021 Christmas Transit Steamer Line. Got it. Just received today, finally! TOMICA's take on TDS' Soaring ride vehicle. I loved it! TOMICA's Western Railroad in TDL got a spooky makeover for Halloween, last Oct.
  6. Reaction to the sudden dearth of .... uh ... Overseas postings..... "And then he ran into my knife - He ran into my knife TEN TIMES!" ~ "Cell Block Tango" from the musical Chicago. (Made sense to me, when I saw the 10 postings, and thought of it.)
  7. Let's Go Crazy Prince & The Revolution
  8. Did things a bit differently, yesterday. I had the salad that David and I had before (w/crumbled prosciutto on it?), AND two of their meatballs! And it was one of the best Protein Salads I'd ever had. Truth! I definitely want to do this again, with other salads they have. But - I also put in an order for the Prosciutto et Funghi pizza (see above post) to pick up later. We live two houses away, once you cross the street, so this was an easy pickup order. The box. And we didn't need the re-heat instructions. Was still very warm when I picked it up. Voila! Another prosciutto and mushroom pizza! And was just as good at home, as at the restaurant.
  9. This just in! (c/o Broadway.com) I am hoping that it will shown on Canadian screens too. They have Vancouver, Canada listed. But no dates for any city have been posted just yet. Here's where you can find out, for yourself https://www.anythinggoesmusicalcinema.com/?utm_source=Press release&utm_medium=Link&utm_campaign=USAnnouncement This is really cool, as this is the second production, with Sutton Foster in it, that has been taped. The other was Shrek:The Musical. This is a recording from one of the London shows, that Sutton starred in.
  10. Photos are awesome! And I am definitely interested The Cave Tour. I did one in Japan back in 1972 ..... and it really was an amazing tour. And that's The Only Cave Tour I ever did, in all these years. <sad> Thanks for sharing your photos of yours!
  11. Great shots, but .......... Apple Zapple??? Thanks for sharing your past adventures.
  12. Well, gee whiz, I didn't expect THAT to happen ........ not. Once again "Broadway Across Canada" has decided to cancel the upcoming late January performances of the tour of "Anastasia." And the touring production has been penciled in (ha) for coming back to Vancouver in March .... 2023. Geez, and I thought the postponement of "Jesus Christ Superstar" to November in 2022 was bit of a stretch in time! Not to be, it seems The Good News is, I haven't spent $$$ for any BAC season (or any live theater) since 2019! And my credit cards are "almost" paid up! Truth! P.S. The new musical "Flying Over Sunset" is going close in a couple of weeks. But they're still going to release a cast cd in March!
  13. ^ Ha! Looks a bit messy, and I am sure you enjoyed it, thoroughly! Here's one of Vera's (YVR) best ones. The Canuck!
  14. ^ Oops. I did find the name and edited it in, there. But so .... Voila! And no <shudders> pineapple on it, at - all. Probably the sliced artichokes you're seeing.
  15. First Wednesday of The Year, last week! And I totally spoiled myself with the most $$$ pizza on the menu .... and it was glorious as usual, heh. We got snow over the Holiday Weekend, then it's been hanging around, and being added to, every other day or so. For our side of the country, we've had enough. Period. Time to get all rained away, now. Yep, it was much like this, but thankfully main roads could be cleared and salted, etc. Good for city works! Looking west, down William St. We got a lot more snow, a few days after this visit. Right....pizza! The Capricciosa. This had a lot of stuff on it, and it all worked, together! Lots of chile oil on it, too. I even added some parmesan and chile flakes. Threw them around, here and there. It was good. Italian Winter decor. One last snowflake.
  16. Bob Saget, 64. I remember him more from America's Funniest Home Videos, rather than earlier, on "Full House". Nonetheless. RIP. Will miss ya, "Dad."
  17. "Someone Like You" - Adele Can still rip you up.
  18. freeky robot is among us
  19. I really enjoyed SF:Mexico back in a 2013 TPR Tour, thanks to Elissa and Robb. This was before their woodie (Medusa?) got re-done for another time. And more enjoyment, from what I read, heh. I acted like a nut most of our visit there, from what I can remember, lol. I even wore the Superman cape for kids ..... yep, I did. I also discovered Mexican beer with tomato juice was a - may - zing! It reminded me of actual old days where I would have this in our local bars during the `gay old days` of Vancouver, heh. It was a regular concoction at the time, truth! Long live SF:Mexico and all they have to offer for us! It's really a truly different kind of Six Flags park! This version was in another park. Still good, ole'! EDIT to add: Although it says "GOD", Medusa was actually my 600th coaster! Hence, the sign. Also, trivia nerds, every significant # I reach has been in a different country! Here goes: 100/Wales, 200/Japan. 300/Germany. 400/England, 500/China. 600/Mexico, 700/USA/Calif.
  20. Lee Ann Womack - I Hope You Dance It's still amazing to listen to.
  21. ....and then there's this "new" place in Playland, that had stolen my heart ... and credit card, last year..... Burp. They decided to run the Ride Side Bar during Playland times! Not just during the PNE. This is awesome! And this was decided to start running last year, during "those times" we've been in. Bravo PNE! I definitely obliged, with a fave cider to enjoy. Great job, Playland!
  22. This place at Playland... Great varieties of fudge available, and always friendly to me. Great young adults running the place every year! My all-time fave!
  23. Still curious, if you guys got to try out some/any new theme park food offerings, there? Yes? No? I mean, there has GOT to be a new flavor of Dippin'Dots, yes? No?
  24. "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen. Sung By k.d. lang. Timeless.
  25. I love how a black & white photo can sometimes make things look so 'retro', compared to in colour, etc. Again, wonderful photos you took! Thanks for sharing, again.
