Thanks for the update, Zingoman!
I'm really confused as to where everything is right now (being unaware of some of the Giant's former layout), so I can't wait to see how it all comes together when track is laid.
Needless to say, this transformation is just crazily exciting to watch as it progresses. It seems like there is a new, insane surprise every week!
^Don't feel stupid; it was only painted blue this year. Formerly, it was all black.
But I must say, the new color scheme looks pretty darn good...I love when parks mix things up a bit (like this).
You mean the yellow track?
Bright yellow seems like it would be a weird color scheme for a "darker-themed" ride like this...but that's just my opinion. I guess anything is possible.
Agreed.
I mean, surely non-local coaster enthusiasts aren't the only people who care about this project.
Maybe the Blue Streak opening this weekend was a spare-of-the-moment thing, and locals haven't caught on that it's open yet?
Ginzo, I'd just like to thank you for taking the time to bring us all of these updates throughout the proposition and journey of Granite Park, and tell you I'm sympathetic that the plans fell apart. It's really sad when a park looks like it will soon come to fruition, but never does---especially if said park would have been within an arms reach of you.
That's exactly what I'm saying...
You board the ride in the station, ride a conveyor belt to the top of the slide, traverse the course, unload in the "unloading station," and then the boats continue on a track around a corner and back into the loading station.
But what does this have to do with restraints on a roller coaster? If a person is injured on a coaster with OTSRs, I doubt they would hesitate any longer to sue than had they been injured on a coaster utilizing only lap bars.
So...Kings Island is getting a 300ft new thrill ride next year, the announcement is tomorrow, and the park hasn't hyped up or hinted towards the attraction AT ALL until this afternoon?
W.T.F...
Yep.
However, didn't we believe this accident occurred on the Cyclon (inverted) side, instead of the Human (sit-down)?
That was the biggest surprise in the report, to me.
