  1. Darn. I didn't get to be the first person to respond to this update...so I hope it doesn't sound to repetitive when I add, "Great photos and trip report, Jordan!" I think my favorite part about your reviews is the amount of honesty you put into them. People often put aside the fact that Holiday World has a lack of thrilling flats, due to the fact that almost every other aspect of the park is nearly flawless. Of course, being the parks #1...uh, excuse me, I guess I can't say that any more...#2 fan, I do my best to appreciate all of its positives, but I definitely agree with all of your thoughts on Holiday World, good and bad. (Shocked?) Have you decided whether or not you will be coming back through these parts again next year?
  2. Awesome start on this (what I assume will be) monster of a trip report, Jordan! The pictures are beautiful---especially those taken from the Eiffel Tower. I hope your descriptions of each park are as detailed as the one above, because this first part was great!
  3. Wait... Wes has a girlfriend?!?!
  4. They definitely should have gone with a taller version, and leaned it 45 degrees on its side.
  5. It must have been raining... ...either that, or Cedar Fair needs to initiate a new sun policy.
  6. Thanks for posting these! I really miss the Banshee...
  7. ^^Sorry, I meant Canada's Wonderland.
  8. Yeah...I'm pretty sure the Italian Job coasters were supposed to include a "drifting" feature at one point, but it only come into life on Kings Island's. IIRC, the effect was so minimal that Paramount opted not to incorporate it into the two clones at KD and Canada's Wonderland, and stop using it at KI. Has anyone else heard something similar?
  9. Thanks for all of the support each of you provided me throughout this contest. It was a fun run, and I just want you to know that I really appreciate everything TPR did to help my video receive votes. You all are great!
  10. Thanks, guys! Today is the last day of voting, so if you can, please go and vote one last time. (Or more. ) Thanks again! http://www.holidayworld.com/node/3388
  11. Wow. The little kid received 140 votes in the last 2 hours.
  12. Thanks, guys! And Brian, I haven't recorded much before. But thank you for your vote and encouragement!
  13. Over the past month, Holiday World has held a contest in search of its number one fan. Each week, the park selected one video to be a finalist. The third week, my video was chosen! It is now time to vote. Below is the link to a page showing all of the videos, as well as a poll at the bottom. Each video is very different, and I'd like to congratulate all the other finalists, and thank Holiday World for holding this creative contest. http://www.holidayworld.com/node/3388 If you can find the time, I would REALLY appreciate your vote! My family and I would love to take full advantage of those four season passes. (I am Daniel, the piano player.)
  14. ^The main filming location is on an old, "haunted" plantation about 20 minutes from our house. My dad and his friend have a morning show on our local radio station, and were invited out to the set to interview the director about the movie. The director said their plans to film at another home had fallen through, so they needed help in finding another location that fit a certain description. Dad volunteered our house, so the crew came to look around and test out a few things, and they decided that they liked it. And wha-la. My house is becoming a celebrity.
  15. I liked Toxic and The Only Exception. I had never heard those first two Britney songs, before...
  16. A movie starring Brad Dourif (voice of Chucky, Sheriff in the latest three Halloween movies) will be filming in my house this weekend!
  17. This park looks amazing. I love how all the slides are built into artificial mountains/slopes, and how nothing looks out of place. I can't wait to see what the finished complex will look like!
  18. Lapbar-only Eurofighter?! This announcement just became THAT much more exciting!
  19. Just want to point out that SFOG's Intamin drop tower (Acrophobia) seats 30 riders, and features multiple "surprises" throughout its cycle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrophobia_%28ride%29
  20. Awesome report! They get better and better every time you post one. The Puyallup Fair looks amazing, and I've never heard anything negative about The Coaster. If only I could find a reason to visit Washington... Thanks for sharing!
  21. No, no, no, Jordan. Didn't you hear? Alpengeist's cobra roll is sinking.
  22. Source? heres your source. He said it many times here in louisville on our local news that he's turning in the land inside ring road to the fair board and he relocating the rides from inside ring road to the larger side of the park. http://www.whas11.com/news/local/Plan-in-place-to-get-Kentucky-Kingdom-back-up-and-running-in-Louisville-102632059.html Dude...there's nothing in that article saying that side of the park will never open again. It very well may not...but so far, this hasn't been confirmed. Plus, Ed Hart has all ready put forth $1.2 million in lease payments, which leads me to believe he is not forfeiting the front side of the park over to the fair board. But I could be wrong. (I just hope I'm not.)
  23. They must be counting Twisted Twins as two coasters! 1. Greezed Lightnin' 2. Thunder Run 3. T2 4. Twisted Twins 5. Roller Skater 6. Deluge (The park has always counted Deluge in its coaster count.)
