  1. Really? I think its pacing kind of sucks...
  2. I'm having a hard time deciding whether I like option 3 or 4 better. Both of them look great in the first post, but at the top of the page, #4 looks kind of blurry and the colors seem a bit faded. Could you put option 3 up there for a couple hours to give us a better comparison?
  3. Why didn't Cedar Point just build a Mack log flume?
  4. The latest version looks really good. It's a lot easier on the eyes.
  5. But doesn't that only apply to clamp brakes, where the train actually makes contact with the device? If these brakes are electromagnetic, it means that the train is slowed by repulsion of magnetic poles, not friction...right? Therefore, if the power were to go out and no current was flowing through the brakes, there would be no forces existing between the brakes and the train to slow it down. I don't really understand all this technical stuff, though, so my theory could easily be wrong.
  6. ^^Powderkeg has the same lapbar found on the Screamin' Swings...probably the most comfortable restraints ever. I'm sad to see they aren't returning on these new trains. Regardless, these new S&S mega-creations look awesome, and I hope just as much everyone else here that a model will built in the US sometime soon.
  7. SURELY no one on TPR would miss that reference.
  8. ^^I thought they were sold to another park, but I can't find any proof of that...
  9. I'm hoping for the removal of the Thrill Karts. When the park was in operation, I hardly ever saw them running. When they were, it appeared most riders just hopped in and started driving without paying for a ticket. Seems like a waste of valuable money and space... And while I'm not particularly fond of the idea of LZ coming to Kentucky Kingdom, I can't think of any other/better B&M they could get their hands on for less than $10 million (the price Ed announced he was planning to spend on a new coaster).
  10. Darn, Abbysmom2 just got in line behind me. So much for the hot cyber-sex I was having with Amy4154.
  11. I actually enjoyed SFOG's Ninja. The only parts I don't like are where the track banks sharply before the corkscrews in a desperate attempt to dump you out of the train. SFStL's Ninja, on the other hand...
  12. Am I the only one here who thinks, if it were built, this could be the best coaster in the world? Constant changes in direction, quite a large variety of elements, and multiple bursts of airtime? Looks awesome, to me.
  13. BBW had always interested me more than any of the other coasters at BGW. I always viewed it as a unique, quality ride that you can't find hardly anywhere else. Plus, I'm a fan of the suspended genre. I really hope a modern company picks up the concept again and improves on it.
  14. ^^Is Houdini a Vekoma Madhouse?
  15. Practice what you preach. Let's move on...has Ed discussed the future of Greezed Lightnin', yet?
  16. Hate to burst your bubble, but with the exception of a launched floorless coaster, the others have already been built. lol Merry Christmas!
  17. I'm pretty sure that's a drawing...right?
  18. No, dude, they don't. Most people at SFGAm don't even recognize the similarities between four B&M coasters when seeing all of them at the same time.
  19. Your BBNP addition is excellent...and so is the rest of the park. Nice work, John!
  20. Yep. Those two slipped my mind. How does Oblivion do with crowds?
  21. And I'd like to thank you (and all the others) who have put so much time into sharing these progress reports with us. Some of us find them very interesting and really appreciate being able to view unique shots that we couldn't see anywhere else.
  22. The turnaround looks totally cool and unique...but I agree, the transition into the first turn looks...weird. Regardless, I have yet to ride an Intamin that I didn't adore, so I can't wait to experience this next year!
