  1. Agreed. Back when The Crypt's (Tomb Raider: The Ride, Kings Island) cycle didn't suck, it was easily my favorite flat ride. There's just something about being indoors and surrounded by theming that gets my juices pumping. I also love Flight of Fear, and yes, even Disaster Transport...especially when all of the lights are turned off. Putting a mediocre coaster (not that FOF would be mediocre if outdoors) in a box can make said coaster multiple times better, IMO.
  2. I really hate to see that Premier has (apparently) abandoned the FOF/Mr. Freeze style trains. They are easily some of the coolest-looking rolling stock I've seen. This new style of train, however? Eh...
  3. Yeah. This is pure insanity.
  4. Cool photos! Thanks for sharing, Gutterflower. Any idea when this mall is slated to open?
  5. I had a hunch that this theming element might not turn out to be quite like we had all imagined. I had a hard time picturing how a tunnel and the splashdown could coexist...
  6. Do they have any that don't look so...busy?
  7. Yeah...I still can't do this. lol
  8. That downward slope looks like a blast!
  9. People make mistakes. Not saying anyone did in this case (or with the New Texas Giant), but if there was a miscalculation, we shouldn't be shocked. It's just a part of the process, right? Edit: Glad to see that settled.
  10. Serious question here, nothing sarcastic: How long does it usually take to assemble a kiddie coaster?
  11. ^^I just saw that. What an awesome combo of elements to begin the ride.
  12. This looks like a great B&M. A love the twisting airtime hill.
  13. I've always been fascinated with this park and its two major coasters. Very cool-looking place. Thanks for sharing!
  14. According to Screamscape, the coaster's track was manufactured at B&M's Ohio plant. Could that be it?
  15. I've told you, Robb, I do like your site. The content is great. There are countless trip reports of above-and-beyond quality. The discussions are often fun and resourceful, and there's not another place on the net where I can go to learn as much about the amusement industry as I can here. However, sometimes things go too far, and I just happen to be one of the only ones around here who will point it out. People have feelings, and no matter how much of a sense of humor they have, there comes a time when enough is enough. Plus, you've said it yourself countless times...there are many industry leaders who view this site on a regular basis. Do you honestly think letting a thread run wild like this reflects positively on the site and its members? I mean, you keep telling me not to be an asshole...but then you go off and cuss out members and tell anyone who contradicts what you say to leave. But really, I want to be here. I do have a sense of humor, and I enjoy the benefits of being a ClubTPR Member. So please, forgive me for speaking out...again. I just, respectfully, request that things be handled in a way around TPR that keeps quality at top-notch. And I'm hoping we can patch up our relationship during a TPR Trip in the near future.
  16. Anyone else loving the white track with blue supports? I can't wait to see more as this coaster progresses. These S&S creations look heavenly.
  17. This is really immature, guys. The point has been made (and beaten to death).
  18. I was thinking the same thing...
  19. Paula, is there still a (good) chance that the Voyage will open for the season with Timberliners?
  20. It's a legitimate point. Does it look like the shape of a Lion head is outlined on the grille of the yellow train (place for a sticker to go) to anyone else?
  21. I won't. I've just never understood how you find The Voyage (especially in its earliest years) to be a below-average wooden coaster. But I respect that you do.
  22. Looking at the model track in the second-to-last picture, this appears to be a bobsled or spinner. (Does MPG already have a wild mouse?)
  23. ^I guess yellow paint was extra cheap at Home Depot.
  24. Not only is the guy's last Guinness (World Records?), he died in 2000. Based on these two facts, I'm going to guess Steel Dragon 2000, which broke the height record that year.
