Good news for bringing the Park a step closer to opening this season. I don't understand why a local does not want to the Park to open, are they mad..? guess there is nothing else worth visiting in the area apart from the Park. If the Park closes forever all the local companies will suffer. Keep us all updated with any news as I want to visit the park in a few years time. Long live Harry Travier's "Tumble Bug" and Edward A. Vettel wonderful "Blue Streak".

BPB does feel like a US seaside Park with it's many rides and attractions. Lovely to see the "Wild Mouse" giving out "Bruised Ribs" to it's riders. Did your Brother go on it..? Nice Pic of the PMBO, Infusion and BD in 1. Can't wait to re-visit the park later this year and grab some photo's of BD's new paintwork. -

SOB New Trains from Myrtle Beach
verticalzero replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I feel sorry for Kings Island dealing with all these un-necessary SOB problems. If the ride was built well and used the correct trains in the 1st place, there would be no problems maintaining it. We will all have to wait and see what Kings Island management decide to do. SOB will open but only when it is 100% safe, could be later this year or for next season. -

How many times the same ride in a day ?
verticalzero replied to mingsai's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree your not "crazy", if you find a coaster which you love the layout or the fast pacing, you will want to ride it as many times as possible while you are at the Park. Roller Coasters are a passion and you have to have your fix after a few months on non-riding. Can I ask "What does your Husband enjoy doing"..? Football, drinking at the local pub with friends. My Signature says it all. -
A Brits first trip to Florida! Photo TR

You took some nice photo's of NYC and Florida, shame the weather treated you badly when you 1st arrived in NY. Any "Cyclone" ride at Coney Island..? Did you check-out a " Wendys" for their lovely triple burgers. I have not visited Florida and all the rides seem to be good ones with lovely theming etc, and the Q's were so short which is a bonus for multiple rides. I bet you feel the UK Parks are missing out with no decent rides, A "floorless" etc. Maybe Thorpe Park in 2009. The Customer Service is way better in the US and they love our accents. -
Great photo's, the Big Sign has not been changed cos the Park feels it costs to much to take out the old name. What does a Maxx Pass get you...? Does it allow you entrance to all "Cedar Fair" Theme and Water parks for the year..? I don't want SOB to be "razed", I want it to be re-designed like it's "dad" or have it interconnecting in the same area as the "Beast".

I hope she won't grip me like that, I'll have no blood supply left

This coaster is one of the few remaining "John Allen" designs which is still running today and it is entirely manually operated which is so rare. I'm not gonna to knock how long it has taken for this coaster to come back to life but it will be thrilling a new breed of customers who visit the park. If the park did not have the funds to start re-building the coaster for over a year, why should it matter..? Atleast they are doing it now and it will be open soon. I'm sure the park's attendance will not be fall just cos they have added an "old" coaster. Old Woodies should be saved esp if they are build by Mr Allen a coaster Legend. It also looks amazing in it's "white" coat of paint, so many woodies esp new ones look so "bland" and "boring", they have no soul, the old woodies do. Troy would look outstanding if it was painted in "White" or "Dutch" colours.

Worst Coaster Ever?
verticalzero replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
X: No Way Out is the worst coaster, a typical English waste of money, could of been so much better with added strobes, lazers, dry ice machines etc. -
Any "Hang n Bang" or SLC are the worst. Wood: SOB but only in the 1st double helix, that was in Y2K mind Steel: The 10 Looper at Thorpe Park esp through the "Cobra Roll", it nearly stops.

I have never ridden this mountain coaster and will these new trains make a difference to "Bolder dash's" speed and ride...? How about putting the 1930/40's looking trains on Bolder..? -

I visited this park at the end of March for my Birthday treat, I found it fine apart from litter in the Q lines, it was not 2 busy and managed to have lots of rides on the 2 main coasters.. Shockwave is good for a stand-up ( I rode this facing backwards with the European Coaster Club a few years ago) but it does have some rough parts going into the corkscrew. G-Force was a great little ride, shame it's not bigger and longer, the Ops also push the bars down too far and your nuts get squashed. The best parts are the "hangtime" on the lift-loop and the "bent cuban 8". -

I visited the Titanic Exhibition when it was at Chicago, a piece of hull was hanging from the celing which I touched... Got told off by a guard, but worth it. 2morrow is the 95th Anniversary of the Liner's sinking. Anyone got £80,000 to spare http://www.titanic-titanic.com/news_050407.shtml Branson USA is only a short 9 hour flight from England, any Theme Parks nearby which I can visit afterwards..? -

Nice shot's of Top Gun and SOB. I enjoyed my time at the Park in 2000 and I need to go back to have a "night" ride on Mr Beast and his son - minus the loop and the lighter trains from Myrtle Beach. Will the speed on SOB pass 78mph with the lighter trains..? Huge waterslide tubes, is that the 3 man raft version...? -

Titanic facts: http://library.thinkquest.org/C0119483/stats.htm The Greek ship was only 1/2 the size of Titanic. I would love to visit Titanic before she implodes on the sea floor. -
