  1. This isn't a coaster; this is just their unicoaster flat ride. This is their Unicoaster
  2. Great pictures, but makes me a little sad that the reason Disney never built a park where Canada's Wonderland now stands was because the climate and short operating season.
  3. I used to collect a bunch of those kinds of cards when I was a kid. I actually have a few full collections just collecting dust. I think I have South Park, Back to the Future, 3 different Looney Tunes, and probably some Disney ones too.
  4. Finished Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, just have about 8 more puzzles to find and solve for 100%.
  5. I hate the professor for my intro to Energy Systems course. First day of class he said we should only e-mail him though the course e-mail. E-mailed him three times, never a response. E-mailed him through the university e-mail when I got frustrated: response in less than 2 days. He takes forever to mark assignments and projects. He allowed project extensions AFTER a good portion of the class had rushed to finish, leaving several students angry they could have had more time. He gives review questions for the final, yet gives no solutions. How are we supposed to know if we're doing the problems right or wrong? I can't wait until he reads the professor reviews. I know several people that wrote extremely bad reviews for him. Hopefully he'll have to answer to the dean when he gets a hold of them.
  6. Considering they bought the Paramount Parks for something like $1.24 billion, I'd say yea, it's a little low.
  7. True or not, check out this comment Knotts is going to be the place to be once they get all the rides from the seasonal parks.
  8. Thanks for the info. I'm not sure if I want to build a recreation or something custom; I'm going to cross that bridge when I get there. First, I want to check some local hobby shops to see if they sell the styrene pieces you mentioned, or something similar.
  9. Not confirmed. For all we know it could be a fan's really good animated guess. I'm sorry, but you're comparing a scissor lift (something that is used every day by tons of companies in tons of different applications) to a roller coaster that is designed by one company and their evolution on the design. Sure, there's probably going to be some maintenance problems; there usually is on a first of a kind coaster. But, as for it being a nightmare, I doubt it.
  10. Re-playing Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box since my save file was erased and I only had a few riddles left to solve. Fun game to replay though..it's got a great story and the riddles can actually get pretty challenging.
  11. Maybe it's just me, but that looks like a mechanical nightmare. Looks like a typical, tried and true, scissor lift. Not sure if one was ever built on this scale before, but it's not like it's anything new.
  12. Yea, I'm in mechanical engineering right now but the only classes I really seem to enjoy are the ones dealing with CAD.
  13. How did you get into CAD engineering? I love playing around with NX 6.0 on my laptop and would love a career in that.
  14. Your Manta model looks amazing and may have inspired me to give it a shot myself. I've always wanted to try it, and after checking out the link you gave selling Styrene, I might just have to. Quick question though, what sizes are you using for the square and round tubing? Also, it may have been asked before (sorry if it has), what are you using for supports?
  15. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/baseball/mlb/12/14/phillies.halladay.lee/index.html Goodbye Halladay, you will be missed at the Dome. We better be getting some damn good prospects from Philly for him.
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0c61DJF6Gg&feature=player_embedded YES! YES! SWEET LORD, YES!
  17. Got my tickets for Our Lady Peace in March. The show I'm seeing will be them playing their Clumsy album in its entirety and then a full set of other famous songs. Their show the next night is the same but Spiritual Machines instead of Clumsy.
  18. I've waited awhile, but 30 Seconds to Mars' new album "This is War" was released on Tuesday. I fought the temptation to download the leaked copy and bough mine first day. The album is amazing, and the way This is War flows into 100 Suns is awesome. I can listen to this album non stop. Also, if you haven't heard, the band did some pretty awesome things to include their fans on this album. They held "summits" in several cities around the world to record their fans singing and making noises to be included in their songs. They also held Faces of Mars where the first 2000 people to send in a picture of their face meeting the specifications laid out got their face on the album cover (I unfortunately procrastinated sending my picture in). So in total, there are about 2000 different album covers. When I picked mine up, I got the default cover with the tiger since most of the faces I saw were pretty ugly.
  19. I had 5 different characters asked when I just completed it. When I saw BioShock mentioned as a theme I may have peed myself a bit. I would love to see a section themed to Rapture.
  20. Here's a few pics from my family's tree. We get one ornament a year, usually having to do with something important that happened that year. A bride barbie for the year my mom and step-dad got married, a new home for the year we moved in, a cable car for the year we went to San Fransisco, etc etc. The Dumbo is from the year my girlfriend and I went to WDW together. A WDW ornament Our 2008 ornament This ornament actually moves...the Ferris wheel and the coaster both move with sound. Yes, that is Tinkerbell on top Full tree shot
  21. I cant imagine every car. But more of the train as one giant hippogriff with the front car being it's head. The front car can then have a robotic hippogriff head that will bow before the loading gates open.
  22. Today I tried ordering presale tickets for an Our Lady Peace concert for me and my cousin. Only thing is that he's in a wheelchair and we'd need accessible seats. Well, Ticketmaster doesn't sell those kind of tickets online, so I called them to place my order. After 15min of being on hold they told me they don't sell accessible seating and I'd have to call the venue. After another 10min on hold, I got through to them and was told they can't sell me presale tickets because that's run through Ticketmaster and to take it up with them. After another 15min on hold I got back through and was told accessible seating isn't released with the presale tickets. I asked why and all they could tell me is that it wouldn't make a difference. I asked how it is fair that people that require special seating should have to risk not getting tickets at all because they'd have to call in on the day tickets go on sale and wait to get through. Again, all they told me was that it wouldn't make a difference. I'm pissed off. If I don't get tickets tomorrow when I call in I will be sending letters to newspapers and stations to let them know of Ticketmaster's screw-handicap people policy. I already e-mailed the radio station that runs the presale to let them know how people are being excluded from it.
  23. Am I the only one that's bugged with the whole number-in-the-name thing? I get where they're coming from, but a 3 does not look like an R. Never has. Never will.
