I haven't been to the science centre in ages, but I love the place. I really wanted to go when they had the Science of Superheroes exhibits and the Thrill Ride exhibit. I remember when they had the sports exhibits, they had a bobsled simulator...that thing was awesome.

What was the last game you played?

I've been addicted to Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars recently. Been working on a few missions, but mostly being a drug mule and buying safehouses for now. -
Awesome pics of the coaster at the CNE (the E is Exhibition). The coaster is gone, but the grounds are still there. The CNE is held every year for 2 weeks before Labour Day. It's too bad they never kept the Flyer, but it's understandable why they didn't. Maintaining it just to open it for 2 weeks every year doesn't make much financial sense. The Dopple Looper no longer makes it's appearance at the CNE anymore; that stopped a few years ago, but they do usually have a spinning wild mouse in the main midway along with the usual Dragon Wagon and Caterpillar coaster in the kiddie area.

Las vegas roller coaster

I actually didn't find Manhattan Express all that bad when I rode it last year. I've been on much rougher coasters than that, and actually found it pretty fun. Is Speed open again? If so, does anyone know if they plan to keep it open until at least September? -
Saw Rise Against with Rancid and Saint Alvia last night on the last stop of their tour. I didn't pay much attention to Saint Alvia, but they were ok. Rancid put on a pretty good show, ending with Ruby Soho. Rise Against were insane. Opened with Collapse (Post Amerika), ended with Ready to Fall, and did pretty much every one of my favorite songs by them including Saviour and The Good Left Undone. I didn't have the greatest seats, because I bought a 4 pack special for $15 a tickets, but it was still a decent view. My camera has a 10x zoom, so I was able to get some good pictures and video. Performing Hero of War Taken from my seat Rise Against taken from the big screen Rancid...yes, with a cello

Logos On Front Of Coaster Trains...
chemical_echo replied to BuschSchoe's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really like Dragon Fire at Canada's Wonderland. Each train has a picture of a dragon around a castle on it. Not really the ride's logo, but it is awesome. -

^^ The local papers say that it doesn't look like any team is going to step up to the plate with a good enough offer before the deadline the Jays set. I hope its true, because I don't want to see him go just yet. But, if he does go, you better believe I'll be there for his last start. -

Going to the Jays game tomorrow to see Halladay start and for all-you-can-eat hot dogs, nachos, peanuts, popcorn, and soft drinks. Hello severe stomach pains! I found a loop hole in their ticketing system, so I was able to get 2 tickets in the all-you-can-eat section but only paid the all-you-can eat price for one and just regular price for the other. -
ULTIMATE THRILL RIDER
chemical_echo replied to ericmichaellucas's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
When I worked at a park I used to day dream about doing this all the time. Except my idea was to hold on to a tow rope attached to the back of the train. On a coaster with inversions (A simple Arrow double loop, double corkscrew. Nothing insane like a B&M). -

Yankees already stole one of our pitchers, they don't need to do it again. -
Ride it by yourself, it's much more fun.

Celebrities and Athletes you've met...

Another one I remembered: I once got on an elevator at the ACC right when Chris Bosh was getting off. My cousin looked up at him and said "Hi Bosh" like he's known him all his life, he replied back with "Hey little man." The guy is freaking massive. -
I think I got spoiled when I used to work on one. Testing it in the morning was something else. First ride of the day all by yourself...great way to wake up. Granted, we had to listen for strange sounds while going up and the ground crew had to do their checks, but once you pulled the cord, it was awesome. The best was when we played Russian Roulette with each other. That's where a group of 3 of us would go on when we were off work and they would randomly hook one of us to the ripcord and not tell us. When we got to the top, none of us knew who was going to make us fly. Plus, working there brought so many great stories of guests terrified to ride. From people pissing themselves to one guy going on with his girlfriend and coming off with several bleeding holes in his arm from her digging her nails into him out of fear.

So, if it's themed to St. George and the Dragon, then I assume the St. George side will always win? -
Celebrities and Athletes you've met...

Gordon Lightfoot - my step-dad was interviewing him, and I met him afterward. 30 Seconds to Mars - met them after one of their concerts, they liked my home made shirt. Darryl Sittler - I'm not exactly sure how my family is involved with him, but I think someone that used to be in our family by marriage (but we're still close to) is now dating or married to him. Stacy Kiebler - met her at a wrestling event, gave her some balloon flowers I had a clown in line make. Hulk Hogan Matt Hardy Kurt Angle Test Edge Tons of other wrestlers from when I was a huge wrestling fan and several of them went to visit my cousin in hospital. I still have one of their business cards actually. Simple Plan - met them at Warped Tour in Montreal and talked to them for awhile. It was cool cause one actually took the time to chat, I think it was because I was probably the only non screaming pre-teen girl in front of their booth. I've stood about 2ft from Tony Fernández while he was watching his son play baseball for the Toronto Maple Leafs but was too nervous to say anything. I've also been a row behind George Stroumboulopoulos at a Jays game. My step-dad kept telling me to go tell George that he said hi, but I was too nervous (they're pretty good friends). I'm surprised I haven't met more athletes since my step-dad is a sports reporter and he's met so many knows some pretty impressive people. There's probably more I've seen or met, but I just cant think of them right now. -

Dear Blue Jays, If you trade Halladay, say goodbye to whats left of your attendance. He is what's drawing in the crowds right now, and losing him would be one of the biggest mistakes you can make as a franchise. Dear Doc, We know you want to win, who doesn't? But you have a year left on your contract, so at least wait until then to start thinking about it. Give the Jays a chance; without you our dreams are nothing. Dear MLB, Will you instate a friggin salary cap already? Other major league sports have done it and are getting on just fine, why can't you do the same? -
My photo TR of Tokyo Disneyland

Those are some amazing pictures. I love the little details Disney puts into their statues, especially the Cinderella one with the crown; that's got to be one of my favorites. I really want to get out to Japan one day to visit the Disney parks there.
