Just awesome.

I'm no Lady Gaga fan, but the cover of Pokerface is horrible. Even my girlfriend (who is a Gaga fan) couldn't stand it. Although, we both enjoyed Kurt's rendition of Bad Romance.

From the news reports I've read, Quebec City is in the process of planning a new 18,000 seat arena. I also read one article (although, I cant remember where) claiming that two companies were already bidding for the naming rights. -

I'll have to respectfully disagree on those two teams. Carolina and Dallas have built pretty good franchises and have won Stanley Cups since moving from their original cities. Even Tampa somehow managed a Stanley Cup, although that team is atrocious nowadays. I agree on the Wild being a pretty horrifically awful nickname for a franchise, only slightly above the Oklahoma City Thunder as the worst nickname in pro sports. The relocated teams winning cups really has nothing to do with them moving markets. What I think he was getting at was that even Hartford would be a better market for hockey again over places like Florida, Atlanta, Nashville, or Phoenix. I also wouldn't say Bettman isn't the reason hockey isn't back in Canada, it's more of the cities being the reason. NHL expects the cities to have better updated arenas before teams can go back. I guarantee that as soon as Quebec City's new arena is built the Nordiques will be back. -

Dear World Leaders, Blue Jays, and Phillies: By moving the Phillies-Jays series to Philadelphia you are denying the Jays fans the game most have been looking forward to seeing. You are also missing out on tons of revenue, since it is very likely the Dome will be filled close to capacity the night Halladay pitches. I, and probably all other fans, would have gladly went through the extra security that night to see the game. -

While Winnipeg is still a smaller market, the city has grown in size since 1996 (approx 15,000 population growth from 96 to 06, and that's not counting surrounding areas that would be willing to drive). The city has a 15,000 seat arena which will do for now, and I guarantee they will sell out (or close to sell out) every night if the Jets made a return. If Quebec City is able to finance, get sponsors for, and build a new arena for the return of the Nordiques, I'm sure Winnipeg would be able to do the same. -

I just read that now too. That really sucks for hockey fans up north and is just showing how much of a joke this really is. I don't think the Coyotes have turned a profit once since being relocated. Sucks to the non-hockey fans of Glendale though Tax dollars to pay for a hockey team they obviously don't want. The NHL just needs to tell the city of Glendale no, and that a team in the desert was obviously a bad idea, then move the team back to the open arms of a city that could support them. -

Coyotes May Move Back to Winnipeg I hope to God that this article is right and that the next buyers in line can bring the team back to Canada. Taking the team back home wouldn't be as big as a challenge as there was last year with trying to move the failed franchise to southern Ontario. Canada could have two of their hockey teams back very soon -

I'm proud of him for getting us the gold in the Olympics, but that was Olympic hockey...this is NHL hockey. As soon as he puts on that Pens jersey and takes my teams out, it's a different story. At game 4 of round one, I saw one fan wearing a Crosby Canada jersey with a large duct tape X on the back. -

The Jays-Phillies series slated for June as been moved to Philly because of the G20 Summit taking place in Toronto at the same time. The Rogers Centre will be smack dab in the middle of the security zone, and as a precaution, all parties agreed to the move. As a Jays fan, I am royally pissed off. Seeing Doc back in Toronto was something I have been looking forward to since the start of the season, and now me, and every other Jays fan is not going to get that chance. -

Way to go Habs! 1 more and the Pens are gone. -
Unless they've changed anything, no. Most rides have bins or shelves on the platform for your stuff.

Step-dad took me to the Red Wings game last night. I didn't have a voice after the first period....4 goals in less than 6 minutes was just insane. Let's see if they have 3 more in them. -

The loss of HB-go-round upsets me greatly. -
He's doing a pretty good job "pretending" He never brings up the fact that he was an actor and usually tries to avoid answering questions in interviews where people ask him about it. I've also heard he's refused to play places advertising the band as "Jared Leto from 'My So Called Life' 's band." I cant confirm or deny that one though. ^^ LIGHTS is hot and quite possibly the perfect girl...hot, loves video games, and loves comic books.

I worked the Barenaked Ladies concert tonight. They made my night when they performed the History of Everything (aka theme to Big Bang Theory).

I've volunteered at Math, Physics, and Science day for the past two years. Most schools leave around 2:00pm, leaving the park dead for us volunteers to go on the rides. Last year me and a friend rode Behemoth 8 times in the front, longest wait was probably about 20min. Also, most rides have gotten rid of their single rider line due to complaints from guests. Most find it unfair that people who are alone get to ride faster (I wish I was joking)

Pretty sure this thread was already started awhile ago, I even posted the bracket I made for a friendly bet I made with my cousin. Either way, I always cheer for Italy (seeing as I'm half Italian), but I don't seem them winning it again. My money is on Germany taking it this year. -
This is awesome. I love playing as Mega Man.

^^^ From every every angle the replay showed, there was no clear shot of the net completely off it's moorings before the puck crossed the line. Further, there was no whistle blown, or intent to blow the whistle as there was in Pittsburgh. As far as anyone I asked (not all Ottawa fans, btw) could see, the puck was over the line before the net was off the moorings. Frankly, if the goal was allowed in Pittsburgh, it should have been allowed in Ottawa. But there's no use arguing over it, the call was BS (IMO), and it's over. Hopefully the calls will be a little more consistent next round and whoever faces Pitts can take them out swiftly.
