Because unless someone can find enough investors to make a park better than Canada's Wonderland right off the bat, they will have a hard time surviving in the Toronto market. Not to mention, they'd have to build their park further from Toronto, meaning people would have to drive longer to get there.

Don't say that to a Leafs fan. As much I hate the Leafs, their fans are the most loyal of any NHL team. The Leafs can be mathematically out for the season yet their fans will still believe that they can win the cup. -

My friend was at the park yesterday and kept sending me texts. Said Millennium Force was a 4 hour wait and Dragster was 2-3 hours. -

That's what I thought. The arena I work at sometimes announces tickets sold, rather than actual attendance, since the former number is always larger than the latter. Of course, they never tell the guests in the arena that part. -

What 6,706 fans look like at a Phoenix Coyotes home game9 And yet the NHL still stands behind this market. -

Artists conception does not equal reality. I've heard from a couple different sources, including the link leading to the ride's For Sale listing, that the ride is in fact going bye-bye. -

I'd prefer they got rid of Minebuster and replaced it with a better out and back woodie, one that doesn't require advil after riding. I actually don't mind SkyRider. If you don't close your restraints to the point of breaking your ribs, and lift your feet a little off the ground during the drop and hill into the helix, you get some nice airtime. My only problem with the ride is the long loading/unloading procedure. -

They should go out on Halloween with "Save the Big Dipper" boxes around their neck. They'd probably make more in one night then they could on their website. I think my plan of having a university with a strong engineering buying it would have worked better. Build it, teach physics, structures, dynamics, statics, etc through an applied application, and then charge students $2 a ride. -

As a Sens fan and a Gens fan, Tavares' OT goal against the Leafs made me doubly happy. -

I thought the Sens had it for sure after those back to back goals. Leclaire needs to stop getting hurt. -

^Yep, I refuse to cheer for the Leafs (although, my entire extended family does). Best thing about being in the GTA was, when I started to really get into hockey and needed a team to cheer for, I had a choice of 5 teams that weren't the Leafs (Sens, Habs, Pens, Sabres, Wings) all within about a 5hr drive. Really sucks about Leclaire getting injured, hopefully it's nothing too serious and he'll be back in net soon. -

I hate having mostly night classes; I can rarely watch the Sens games. I've watched a few in class (without sound) but it's getting hard to find a streaming video of the games. Right now I just update the Sens home page every 5min and check the score. -
I would just like to thank Glee for the awesome, albeit short, scene between Santana and Brittany.

^Don't get too excited, they'll be back to their normal selves soon enough. Also, anyone else see the scary moment when Pavelec just collapsed on the ice in the Caps-Trashers game? -
I got a jury duty letter mailed to me....Well, I can't exactly say it was mailed to me; it was sent to the house I moved out of when I was 7. How can the Sheriff's Department be that behind on the times? It's not like I'm legally dead or anything, I've been up to date with all taxes, licenses, etc that all show my (new) address.

Star Wars to be Re-released in 3-D
chemical_echo replied to Movieguy's topic in Random, Random, Random
3D movies have still yet to wow me. I'd rather save the extra $3 and see it in 2D. As for movies being re-released in 3D; if it wasn't intended to be 3D and wasn't shot with 3D cameras, the quality will likely suck (Clash of the Titans, anyone?) -
^^ Not to mention that when seats are assigned, if they put you next to the 700lb guy or in front of the kicking and screaming kid, you're usually SOL since that's the seat the airline gave you.
-
No need to show up super early to get adjacent seats with your party. You can either pay the $10 automatic check in fee, or sign on to their website 24hrs before boarding and get a good number in line.
-
I love SouthWest. I always try to fly with them when I fly somewhere in the US. As for the seating problems, I've never had lower than a B seating and usually average an A 10 spot in line. If you just go on their site 24hrs before you take off there's really nothing to complain about. And if you're excuse is you're at a park and can't, then try asking guest services. I've had my boarding passes printed out at guest services so I didn't have to leave for the hotel to do it.
