With the park being that crowded the lines were still only 15 minutes? Wow. That's great! I really need to visit this park. Thanks for your report!

Knott's Haunt - 2010 Enthusiast Event!
Moose replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Robb, I could see you giggling during this, but I'm sure you'd be able to scare the crap out of me. Let's not forget a stationary plant scared me during our backstage maze tour of HHN, and oh that chucky head on a stick, I still get nightmares . I wish I could make it out there for this! -
You are not Dr. Laura, you can not say such mean things. You need to step down as overlord. I'm still distracted. Was there more to this report after this?

All the updates at once? There goes my productivity this afternoon! Thanks for these great updates, and thanks again for putting on an amazing trip. p.s. TP looks so much better after his night with Piers. -

I was a bit appalled by the bible message. I was thinking of placing it in the fridge like Lou did with the demonic baby toothbrush holder at Efteling, but was afraid we'd be chared for it. -
Take the test again! I took the SAT's at least twice and they took my best score of each section. I assume they still do the same, but there is also an additional section and a higher possible score than when I took them. (damn I feel old)

Another great MidAmerica trip report!! I had no idea you guys were such virgins before the trip! -
Most Intense Rides You've Been On
Moose replied to StrataKirby's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The waltzer at Botton's. Insane at Grona Lund. I absolutely loved both of these rides! I have greyed out on a few rides, mostly B&M inverteds, it's a feeling I don't very much enjoy. -
That rapids ride is bizarre, why not just enclose the rafts? Thanks for the report, there are a ton of great pictures!

Your one-on-one trips with your sons are a great idea. I'm glad you wer able to meet up with the trip, even if so doing contributed to boring your son to death. -

Chuck is very stealthy. I suspect he may be part ninja. Love the updates! I'm glad someone has posted the picture of Woody taking Buzz to infinity and beyond. They are now posed as such stuck to my fridge. -
Thank you SO MUCH for posting these pictures. I know there is not much in them about amusement parks, but I find all of the pictures to be absolutely fascinating. I had no idea that tours like this existed.

Mark's Postcard Paradise
Moose replied to thrillerman1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love seeing how parks develop over time. The brochures are a nice addition to the Postcard Paradise. Does anyone know where the Aerodrome themed area was at Worlds of Fun? -
Wow. Glad you all made it out all right. The slow swings look like suspended adirondack chairs.

Wow, now having finally visited Alton Towers, I cannot believe just how much of the park has changed. Thanks for this great look back. See you next month! -
Lake Compounce/SFNE on a Saturday

^I've never been able to do the skyride since every time I've gone, someone in my group has been afraid of heights. -
Lake Compounce/SFNE on a Saturday
Moose replied to JDo217's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was at Compounce this past Saturday, and while it was pretty busy, the lines weren't too bad. Boulder Dash's line was out past the entry sign and the wait was 20 minutes top. The crew was really great, getting trains out before the next was even hitting the brakes! It didn't look like many people were using the text fast pass. -

Wow, I cannot believe the number of attractions at this park, nor the amount of money it cost to do just the number you did. Thanks for this great report! -
^ For someone of your size that's a ton! I've done the same, though I really limit the crap ,and have lost almost 30lbs in the past 3 months! It's amazing what portion control and no snacking can do!

BUMP: I just merged a few old topics (including Coaster-crazy's great thread on SCBB's NEW Haunted Castle Construction Log) into a brand spanking new SCBB discussion thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page.

Erik & Smisty's Florida Oddventures

I think a deception would be a lot more work. All this takes is a pvc pipe down to the basement, which would be a more convenient location to collect the money from as well. The physics geek in me wants to know if you timed the coin.
