Gröna Lund Discussion Thread
Moose replied to Tobias94's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ Just so Dave doesn't look like a complete fool (at least in this case) He was referring to a post I made that I subsequently deleted noticing someone mention the same thing on the previous page. Grona Lund currently has 6 coasters. My guess (as well as Olov's) is that "7" is referring to a possible 7th coaster. I'd love to see how they plan on shoehorning another coaster in! -

The Official TPR 2010 Europe Trip Thread
Moose replied to atem122's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I'm glad to hear (both on here and Facebook) that everyone loved Europa as much as the Mainland Europe Trip did in '08. The park really is amazing. -
Starting a roller coaster club at college
Moose replied to AWill961's topic in Random, Random, Random
^ On that note, if you join another club, you could always organise a trip to a park with the members of that club. I was a member of a large social/service group and every year I organised a trip out to the (somewhat) local park and in the final year a much further trip to 3 parks. Everyone had a great time, I fulfilled my coastering needs, and I met friends with very diverse interests. -
The Official TPR 2010 Europe Trip Thread

^Personally I think the shooting part of well themed shooters really impairs my ability to see the actual theming. For example, at Alton Towers we decided to reride Dual without shooting and noticed so much more of the great ride. It looks like the Italian parks are great! Miss you guys -

The land looks amazingly detailed, I 've read the entire series so I am not really worried about understanding the stuff though I get what others are saying. The thing I am worried about is the capacity of this land. Everything looks fairly cramped which will be an absolute nightmare on crowded sweltering Florida days. Not looking forward to that at all. -

That is an absolutely gorgeous building. THe park looks nice too. Thank you very much for the pictures. -
My reaction to Boomerangs is exactly the same. I always feel nausious after riding the boomerang element backwards. "Cobra" is interesting, but not all that good. I thought there was a Scad tower at that park. Is the Scad tower still there?

This is exactly what was going though my mind the one and only time I went sky diving. I am glad I did it, but I will NEVER do it again.

I am not sure if I would say it was the best episode, but I am glad they gave songs to more of the guys. I was really getting sick of everything being Finn & Rachel.

I had forgotten how much I loved this little park. Thanks for the great pictures. Did they modify "bench: the ride"? It looks like they may have covered up some of the people you are shooting at. -
Popular Mechanics Article
Moose replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love how the statement about this not being a big deal is buried right at the end of the article, well after most people will have stopped reading. Oh noes, it looks like I may need to stop sitting down. -
According to the nutritional information these things aren't that terrible compared to Standard McDonalds food, they're about the same, if not a little less bad. My local Fox affiliate also cut Glee off. Thanks for the heads up that it will be rebroadcast. To quote a great Jay Brannan song "American Idol... Get the hell off, My TV"

TPR's Ever Evolving Park Index
Moose replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I hate to post these becasue they aren't really good pictures of me, but it's for the park index. Photo credit should go to Dave (Cars) and Ron (trunk) Tivoli Gardens – Tivoli Gardens – Veteranbilerne (Antique Cars) Tivoli Gardens – Den Flyvende Kuffert (Flying Trunk) -
With a name like Waterville, I would have thought this place would be a waterpark. Guess not!

Club TPR is Coming in March!
Moose replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Same. I'd also like to point out that the disappointment that there is no benefit for a particular park should not be directed at ClubTPR and Robb, but that park you love so much. The park was contacted and was asked for something, but the park (not Robb) chose not to offer a benefit. 58 parks is remarkable. -
Six Flags Over Texas (SFOT) Discussion Thread
Moose replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
With all the changes, including the steel cross member and not just the rails, I would be hard pressed to call this a wooden coaster. THough I think that Six flags will continue to classify it as a wooden coaster, as doing so allows them to say they have the record for steepest drop. That would no longer be true if it were steel. -
We have a topic discussing this already. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=861366#p861366
