NEWS: Waterparks Heading For The Junkyard?
Moose replied to ajinaz's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Here in Rhode Island, Drive-in-Theatre's are doing better than waterparks. We still have a drive in, but don't have any waterparks -
The "I just did this in a Theme Park" Thread
Moose replied to A.J.'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's not the most thrilling coaster in the world, but some people (i.e. my bf) love it. -
I took three semesters of college physics and never had anything about acoustics. So apparently what is covered can vary greatly. Jon *I once failed a physics test for using the left hand rule* Azevedo

This has been a yearly special around most of New England for quite a while. I've never tried it, but if it has been around for as long as it has, it can't be too awful.

Food and Fatties of Middle America!
Moose replied to jray21's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh my, you caught me oggling Robb's manliness. I must hang my head in shame or something like that. Great report! Did anyone get a picture of the signs in the hotel about rooms open for swapping? At first I thought there was a swingers convention. -

Can you post some information about your group? I did a quick google search and only found references to this survey. -
TheStig and Jake bake dead chicken brownies
Moose replied to TheStig's topic in Random, Random, Random
Are cakes low calorie? BTW, your cakes look amazing! I would try making these brownies with the peanutbutter or mint oreos. -
Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
Moose replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I did not rank it in my top 5. I wanted to love the coaster. I rode it three or four times, trying to find a sweet spot on a sweet train. I could not. This coaster has the potential to be amazing, but it was just too rough for me. Call me old, call me fragile, whatever, I really don't care, but in my opinion, it was far too bone jarring and headache inducing to be a #1 coaster for me. I sincerely hope the timberliners help this coaster. -

Love the updates. Definately option 2. Piers is a selfless person so it fits much better. -

Serious Question: Variable Pricing?
Moose replied to milst1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I could have sworn that I have seen coupons that were worth more on certain days effectively causing the differential pricing. Unfortunately, I can't find any of these now. I know area haunts definately have higher prices on busier nights. -
I'm with you. I loved this little bathroom break. It was a FANTASTIC surprise. I am also with you on the frisbee... no ride makes me almost lose my mushy peas worse than these torture devices.

I am absolutely fine with all of them, but the font of the tagline for 3 & 4 really bother me, even more so in the "live" version of the front page. It looks far too busy, especially without a space above and below the tagline. It looks like a wall of text. Perhaps it would be better with small caps instead of all caps?

Geauga Lake Discussion Thread
Moose replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm glad she posted as much as she did, I didn't think we'd ever get that much honesty. I've always questioned the intent on the coaster's owner (The ones selling it to Kat). They have always seemed shady with the whole "You can rent storage from us..." -

Yupp. I still have mine up. The outdoor ones are in the process of coming down, i'll likely finish that tonight. But the inside ones are completely up and I have no intention of taking them down for a week or two? Why? Well, taking them down right after christmas would mean that they are christmas decorations. I try as hard as I can to take the christ out of christmas, as much as he was supplanted into previously held traditions. So my decorations are for winter. Since it is still winter... I keep em up. Plus, they make the house pretty
