  1. I think the Free Spin would be a good fit for SFGAm, SFOG, SFSTl, or SFDK, but not SFGAdv. I'm hoping for something with a little more at Great Adventure. But honestly, I don't really care what SFGAdv gets, they have a pretty world class lineup already.
  2. There are parts of Manta at SWSD with the thick spine track like that.
  3. Although I think that both Monstre and Boss would have insane potential as I-Box RMCs, those won't be converted in 2016. I'm not surprised that Screamscape has reported the RMC Roar rumor. I can't wait for an announcement at the end of August! I would like to note that I don't even think Roar is rough either, and I agree that Roar seems like the unlikely choice. Yet, I heard from someone working at SFDK that they've been told that Roar is closing this summer. It's all lining up to me.
  4. I have serious doubts about Monstre getting IBox in 2016. I would love to see the poster though!
  5. Glad to see they are consistently adding to the sign! I'm really hoping that it will finish up with a coaster announcement!
  6. Well now that I've been on Twisted Colossus, I've caught the bug, I need more RMC!! In the N. America: All the other RMC coasters (Outlaw Run, Medusa Steel, NTaG, Iron Rattler, Goliath, WC) Lightning Run Steel Phantom Voyage Ravine Flyer II Ride of Steel (Darien Lake) All the other B&M Hypers (Fury, Leviathan, Behemoth, Raging Bull, Goliath at LR) Banshee
  7. I doubt they will touch Viper yet. My hope is for a Revolution Rebirth next year. Maybe some new paint, new trains... I really hope that that's not just a pipe dream...
  8. How do you know what's your source? There was definitely only one train on the track that day. It could be the case of what A.J. said, but I guess we'll just have to see. Dare I say that looks a LOT more comfortable? At least no head banging? Hmm... I'll wait for rider reviews.
  9. I'd just like to say that your negativity on this forum bothers me. Your home park just built a multi-million dollar dark ride, and yet you come in here with a ton of negativity. It's just really annoying... Please don't talk crap on the ride until you at least ride it yourself. I get that you aren't happy with how your home park has grown over the past few daces or whatever, but at least you have HW, WOF, SDC, KK, KI, SFGAm, and a ton of other awesome Mid West parks within driving distance... I'm over three hours away from any theme park, and most at that distance are nothing to write home about. Life's better when you focus on the positives and stop complaining about what you don't have... That absolutely applies to theme parks and this hobby. Cheer up, brother! In other news, the ride looks amazing, I hope my local-ish SF parks build one of these things soon! Not once did I bash the ride. I can't help it that you COMPLETELY misinterpreted my post that I specifically worded NOT to offend anyone, especially HWfan who provides us with so much information. Nor do I give a crap about what you think. Thanks for the tip coach, but I'm perfectly happy with how I live my life. You could have reacted to my post two ways; really offended or understanding. And you're being just as negative as I said you were. Take it easy, man. Let's just have a good time! Theme Parks are suppose to be fun, why not have the discussions fun too? Sorry, I don't mean to bash your character, just trying to promote positivity online.
  10. Amazing! I can tell you guys that Twisted Colossus was amazing, so if you get anything similar, you're in luck! That video from a few years ago, he mentioned how much he liked the name 'Double Trouble,' it would be cool to see that come back, Twisted Twins is a bit generic IMO. I'm excited to see what RMC can do with only 80 ft, but then again, Medusa isn't much taller! If the coaster is kept separated as two coasters, KK will potentially have three airtime coasters designed by Ride Centerline (Alan Shilke's company)! Be excited you guys

  12. It's funny that this is the largest coaster in California that I have not ridden. I'm sure I'll stop by sometime this summer, it looks great! And very unique!!
  13. I heard this too, out of the three projects for next year, only one is Six Flags, so the other two are for non-chain parks. I think that only one of those two will be a ground-up coaster (Outlaw Run, Goliath, Wildfire), so a non-Six Flags park will get their first I-Box next year. I know nothing for sure, but I am hoping for... - A "World's First Launching Wooden Coaster" for Dollywood along the hillside with some terrain-based elements, "Shot Rod" - The second installment of the RMC dueling/racing coaster with Twisted Twins/Double Trouble (Ed Hart's name) I-Box retracking while being the first completely steel RMC (cause of the steel structure) - And finally the first I-Box retrack of a GCI coaster, with Roar at SFDK. I imagine that RMC can do a lot with the very twisty layout of a GCI! I also predict that Six Flags will build maybe two more of the S&S Free Spin coasters (Batman at SFFT) at a few parks in the chain. Maybe SFGAm? SFOG? SFA? SFStl? I don't think that SFStl will get Boss retracted next year (although I think the layout has enormous potential) due to the GM stating that Justice League was their "Hyper Coaster" equivalent, and the largest investment for a while. I also highly doubt SFA and SFOG for 2016 too...
  14. COUGH Cyclone at Six Flags New England COUGH COUGH Medusa at Six Flags Mexico (2000) COUGH That is a good point2. In fact, RMC retracted sections of both Rattler AND Cyclone before doing IBox seasons after. Now, I cannot say that I'm completely confident in this rumor, but if it were happening, I would expect SFDK to announce the closure of the coaster in a month or so. Keep your ears open people, Six Flags may be on a roll for these California parks!! Personally, I would be BEYOND stoked for another RMC in California after riding Twisted Colossus a few weeks ago. IMO, it would be a perfect addition to the park's coaster lineup!... Well an RMC would be perfect anywhere...
  15. Ohh yes!! This looks amazing! I can't wait to see more
  16. I bet we will see one or two more S&S Free Spins installed at a couple Six Flags parks next year. SFA? SFOG? SFOT? SFGam?
  17. You read my mind I hate to spread rumors, but you can read my post on the SFDK thread if interested. I recently heard a rumor that Roar is closing sometime mid-season.
  18. I know I haven't seen this mentioned yet, so I thought I would ask everyone's input. How likely do you guys think a RMC I-Box of Roar is for 2016? I ask because I have recently heard a rumor that Roar will be closed mid-season this year. One can hope, right? Personally, it sounds unlikely to me after SFMM receiving Twisted Colossus for 2015, but the two parks aren't really that close, I'm sure 95% of visitors to each park aren't even aware of the other park. I know it's currently every park's fan-boy dream for their wooden coaster to get I-Box, but I can't help it! It would easily be the best coaster in NorCal if true! Let the idea sit for now, and maybe in a few months, we will see more information come out.
  19. Sure, you're right. But I do remember RMC saying somewhere that they aren't even doing plain topper track retracks anymore (like Tremors, old cyclone, or old rattler), only full blown conversions (but with topper track instead of steel). Doing a full conversion would certainly count as a project. I really hope nobody here gets their hopes set on RMC GhostRider for 2016. But there may be more RMC in California yet!... hopefully
  20. I'm fairly confident that Knotts is NOT one the RMCs 3 projects for 2016. Maybe 2017 though!
  21. Except you have my favorite coaster ever there. Without building anything new ever, KD is still better than 90% of theme parks just for having I305. In my case, KBF hasn't built a thrilling attraction since Silver Bullet in 2004...
  22. Personally, I'd wouldn't be surprised if Twisted Twins was one of the three RMC projects for 2016... The other two, you ask? Hmm... Well, I cannot say that I'm sure, but I would guess on Dollywood's wooden/launch coaster and one SF project (Maybe Roar? Although I'd really love Boss...)
  23. I saw a picture of 4 coasters: Blue Streak, CCMR, Corkscrew, and Gemini.
  24. Thunderhead in 2012 (9 years old) was insane!! Apocalypse has gone to crap, very bumpy, it's quite weird. Gold Striker and White Lightning are both great as well! (But they're still very new) I don't think they're going anywhere soon.
  25. I'd LOVE an RMC to come in and do some work on GhostRider! I agree that a new train, and a comeplete retracking of the same layout would be ideal for me. If they decide to get a GCI or GG retrack GR, they cannot half ass it. GR NEEDs new trains. The trains not compatible with the layout, it will tear it apart again. BUT.... If this will happen with RMC, it would be 2017 at the earliest. RMC is full for 2016 at this point with the 3 projects they have booked already.
