  1. Roar has no strong airtime hills and in its current state doesn't hold a candle to ANY of the RMC's out there. At worst, a Roar transformation would be a top 5 coaster on the entire west coast of the country. There would be a high chance of it being a top 10 steel coaster in the entire WORLD, and easily the best ride at the park. I understand hoping for an El Toro-style camelback, but I just do not understand not being excited for what will be a stellar ride regardless. In the entire WORLD, very, VERY few coasters rank higher than RMC's worst. Northern Californianers would be incredibly blessed to have one in their region as hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts in other areas would kill to have even RMC's worst coaster within driving distance. I couldn't have said it better, thank you! After riding Twisted Colossus, I can say that I have full trust in anything and everything RMC touches, I can't wait!
  2. I'll repeat myself... You have ZERO CLUE what RMC will do with Roar's layout. They could put in some elements you've NEVER even dreamed about. To say you're not interested in Roars layout is completely asinine, you have no idea what changes are going to be made. Cyclone is not even a similar layout to Roar, you can't even compare.. Your assumptions are incredibly unfounded. You
  3. What are you even talking about?!?! You have NO IDEA what the layout will be...
  4. I feel like you're the only one too... I don't go to SFDK for dark rides or flats or even the zoo area, I go for coasters. I don't claim what the parks best interest is or where their money could be "better spent." All I know is that this will 100% get me (and probably a lot of other guests) back out to the park, where most other things wouldn't. Their decision here is great for someone like me, and if it causes me to visit and support their park, which is good for them. I honestly don't care about it being a family park. But maybe that's just me.... (And probably a lot of other guests)
  5. Well there will only be one for 2016, Roar, despite all of the KBF GR rumors. GR can't happen until at least 2017... Is that when the SF exclusive ends? GhostRider is probably the wooden coaster that most needs an RMC. Apocalypse is fine, so I don't know why that would be RMC'd (unless MM were to get a new coaster from scratch). There is no Six Flags exclusive. I agree that Gr needs RMC, it's just not happening for 2016
  6. I wish there was some way or governing body that would say, this is a X roller coaster, or this is not a roller coaster at all. I think about all the RMC hybrids, and I think about rides like Pipescream. In theory If Pipe Scream is not a roller coaster is Superman's Escape at MM and if so why? I think in it would be still be a troll move b/c Pipe Scream is not exactly world class in any sense of the word. Disk-O's are powered the whole time, they don't use purely gravity at any point. Wicked Twister, Superman and every other impulse coaster/(coaster with a spike) use purely gravity, and that's how many people distinguish it as a coaster. Now I could see the argument of calling pipe scream a powered impulse coaster, but I don't count powered coasters so I don't care. (Why aren't trains powered coasters? They have a track? I don't get it)
  7. Not sure what you mean by "only two of these are the projects". Theres no way SFDK would not be a full I-Box. It wont just some topper track.
  8. RMC confirmed that there's one Six Flags project next year, it will be SFDK
  9. Well there will only be one for 2016, Roar, despite all of the KBF GR rumors. GR can't happen until at least 2017...
  10. I Can't wait to see what RMC does with the layout of this one!!
  11. I posted this a few weeks ago and looks what's popped up today. This lines up with only one SF project for 2016. (The other two parks being DW and KK)
  12. First- Steel: Matterhorn Bobsleds Wood: Giant Dipper, Belmont Park Inverting: Mind Eraser, Darien Lake Intamin: CA Screamin' B&M: Riddler's Revenge RMC: Twisted Colossus 200'+: Goliath, SFMM Favorite- Steel: Intimidator 305 Wood: El Toro Inverting: Twisted Colossus Intamin: I305/Toro B&M: Goliath, SFOG RMC: TC 200'+: I305
  13. Wild Waves in a week or so. First time in Washington! Then I'm off to Vancouver and Idaho.
  14. This is a dumb statement. I don't think you quite understand what RMC does. They aren't limited by a current layout. Roar may have a lot of turns instead of straight track, but you absolutely will still see airtime all over the place...
  15. "Coaster" at Blackbeards FEC in Fresno was 289. Don't worry guys, I just stopped on my way to Yosemite, I'm not THAT big of a credit whore! It looks some kind of relocated Python Pit, it's still listed as unknown on rcdb. Between Wild Waves (3), PNE Playland (3), and Silverwood (5) later this month, I can hit 300 on Tremors! (Only if I don't miss any credits. I also don't count powered coasters)
  16. I don't believe any of this crap
  17. and every way would be built in Europe by Vekoma, No, track is constructed in the U.S. Vekoma only handles business for them, no construction at all! I'm not sure you know, I think Vekoma builds and erects for Europe I am very sure. They actually started manufacturing track for Wildfire, but they stopped once everything got postponed. Trust me
  18. and every way would be built in Europe by Vekoma, No, track is constructed in the U.S. Vekoma only handles business for them, no construction at all!
  19. Projects reschedule, there's still 3 projects for 2016, and none of them are Wildfire (or La Ronde)
  20. Everybody's claiming they're getting the next RMC, but I'm claiming the only SF park to get an RMC will be SFDK... no La Ronde, no SFA. This is based on a strong reckoning. I can feel the future happening, it's a truly bizarre trait I have.
  21. Actually it is not the only coaster in NV. There is Desperado at Buffalo Bill's and El Loco and Canyon Blaster at the Adventuredome. He probably meant it's the only one that he's been on.
  22. Can we all forget the RMC talk? I'm 95% sure it's not happening at La Ronde in 2016 anyway!
  23. I've been to 2 countries, and 16 states! Mexico: Montana Rusa, Mundo Divertido (TJ) US: CA- Twisted Colossus CT- Boulder Dash FL- SheiKra GA- Goliath, Six Flags Over Georgia ME- Excalibur, Funtown USA MA- Bizarro NV- El Loco NJ- El Toro NY- Jack Rabbit, Seabreeze NC/SC- Intimidator, Carowinds (Intimidator definitely sits completely on the South Carolina side, so I guess I'd pick Vortex for North Carolina judging on Google Maps. I'm sure Fury 325 (which travels in both states) would be my pick for both states, but I haven't ridden it yet.) OH- Millennium Force OR- Ice Mountain Bobsled, Enchanted Forest PA- Skyrush... Phoenix... I can't decide. TN- Thunderhead VA- Intimidator 305 I will be traveling to Canada, Washington and Idaho in a few weeks, so I can knock a few more states off my list and get my 300th coaster too!
