  1. If SF/SF:DK wants to replace Medusa's zero g-roll with a Stall, I'm all for it. the "weightless" feeling is cool from it, but it last what feels like a second at most. He's talking about Medusa Steel in Mexico, not Medusa at SFDK. haha
  2. what does Portland Oregon or Seattle Washington have? Don't forget Phoenix or Houston either, both cities are in the top 10 most populated cities in the U.S. and they're hours away from any theme parks, especially Phoenix! (Although Houston is apparently trying )
  3. The problem is the ride is under 100 feet tall. Unless they added a solid chunk onto the lift, that hill would need to be much, much shorter than that because there is already a raised curve before the airtime hill. The best it could be with that in mind is a bunny hop (in terms of size) for ejector, but there are already multiple opportunities for bunny hills later in the course. I'm with you on wanting airtime (which I'm sure will be delivered regardless), but I think its almost too obvious that this might be the centerpiece inversion for the ride. There's nothing wrong with a long zero-G stall. I really enjoyed Twisted Colossus' stall, it was one of the best parts of the ride. I thoroughly enjoyed the stall on Goliath. I'd love to see more. I agree. Goliath had a really nice stall too. I really don't understand why people are against RMC having inversions on their coasters as those are some of the best moments on the ride. I don't think the argument is against RMC, I think it's against adding inversions to a park where every major coaster already has inversions. This will make 6 out of 8 coasters with inversions, the largest without being a Tivoli followed by a Zamperla kiddie. But I agree, RMC inversions are some of my favorites on any coasters! Iron Rattler has the most unique moment of hangtime into airtime I've felt! TC has two great inversions, the zero g is taken soo fast and the stall is unbelievable! And that final double barrel roll on Outlaw Run is also very intense! I cannot wait to see the layout of this coaster so I can fantasize for the next 9 months or so (Although I already have full and complete confidence that Joker will be as amazing as the other 4 RMCs that I've already been on).
  4. Of the coasters I rode, Batman at SFFT and Twisted Colossus, I would easily choose Twisted Colossus! The only other coaster from 2015 that could potentially top that is Wicked Cyclone or Fury, but I have yet to ride them...
  5. Any rumors in what style of Mack coaster this will be? Launched like Blue Fire / Helix or a mega lite style like Storm / Alpina Blitz perhaps?
  6. I believe Vekoma stated that they will no longer build new coasters in the U.S. anymore.
  7. Is this park ever going to build a wooden coaster? Now that RMC has proved it can build a smooth and quiet wooden coaster, do you guys think it's possible that we may see a custom topper track RMC in 2017 or 2018? The parks landscape would be perfect for a terrain RMC in my opinion!
  8. This thread is too sad. I don't want to think about it really, but come to think of it, I've been really lucky about coasters being open! Phew! I've mostly missed out on coasters cause of my height or because they were kiddie coasters SFMM: Magic Flyer (kiddie) SFOT: Canyon Blaster (kiddie) KI: Pumpkin Coaster (kiddie) CP: Jr Gemini (kiddie) KD: Taxi Jam (kiddie) IOA: Pteranodon Flyers (I didn't have a kid...) Others: Carowinds: Thunder Road (one side) Darien Lake (2001): Ride of Steel (closed), Boomerang (skipped, I was 8) The only one that I really wish I was able to ride is ROS at DL, other than that, I can live without the credits.
  9. I don't believe that. You may prefer something different than somebody else, but you're not feeling anything different. You are not experiencing a separate sensation.
  10. It's been a while and I'm sure there's a lot of changes since I last posted, I have had 3 new additions in each of my top 10's just this year. I think I can finally be really happy with my top coaster list. Steel: 1. Intimidator 305 2. New Texas Giant 3. Bizarro 4. Iron Rattler 5. Skyrush 6. Twisted Colossus 7. Millennium Force 8. Maverick 9. Goliath, SFOG 10. Storm Runner Wood: 1. Outlaw Run 2. El Toro 3. Phoenix 4. Boulder Dash 5. Coaster, Playland 6. Gold Striker 7. Tremors 8. Thunderhead 9. White Lightning 10. Giant Dipper, SCBB
  11. That's incredible! Who knows, someone high up may have seen and been inspired by your post, you never know!
  12. From August 5th... I wasn't too far off I guess! Joker theme looks cool, I love the trains! Hopefully V2 gets a re-theme sometime soon as well!
  13. HAHAHA. They're hard plastic. I was surprised by how uncomfortable they were actually.
  14. ... Don't forget CW... AKA CANADA's CP #Ziz2017CW #KD2018 LOL At the Canada's Wonderland fanboys thinking they're guaranteed a 2017 coaster! LOL At the KD fanboys thinking they're guaranteed a 2017 coaster! I'm just sitting here wanting a 2017 Knott's coaster! hahaha
  15. Definitely not RMC, but maybe something cool!
  16. No way! The theming looks insane, and it has good looking translations, but there doesn't look to be many airtime moments. LR looks like not just the best coaster of next year, it looks like on of the best coasters on the planet! My most anticipated 1. Lightning Rod 2. Wildfire 3. Taron 4. RMC Roar 5. Storm Chaser 6. Valravn 7. Lightning (Mack at Lewa Happy Park)
  17. I know it's rumored that SFA will only get a waterpark expansion, but what if they got the S&S 4D that is rumored to go into SFGAdv?? That would be a better fit at this park, IMO!
  18. I think it would be awesome to expand the superhero theme in that area. Who knows?
  19. If you don't mind my asking, why? To me it seems like the 4D is a slam dunk guarantee for the park. But I don't have inside sources or anything; I'm just going off the long-standing rumour and the surveys I was sent. Just a rumor I read a while ago. I read that Six Flags was deciding between SFA and SFOG. I know SFA is supposed to get a waterpark something, so we will see.
  20. He really said that? Because GCI twister designs have little to no airtime. I'm sure that after the conversion, it will be packed with airtime. He probably meant Roars (new) design.
  21. Did he say anything about theming/new name? No names or anything. They were talking about the design of the RMC'ed Roar, and that it was a good design (I didn't get the details because of all the ambient noise surrounding Wicked Cyclone. They were talking about the ride (WC), and how Roar's design is also really good and full of airtime. That's the jist, but for sure it's confirmed I like the sound of that! I'm still thinking we may be seeing it themed to a super hero/villain. Lex Luthor, anyone?
  22. I'm not going to claim to know what is best for the park economically or in any other way. But I will say from my enthusiast perspective, I hope that SFGAdv doesn't build a an S&S 4D coaster. I say this not because of capacity, or any other logistical issue, it's purely because I don't think the one at SFFT is any fun. I simply did not enjoy that coaster and I wouldn't want a park with such a great line up of coasters have to wait even more time before building a coaster I'd return for. Call me selfish, sure, but it's my honest opinion. Separately, I have reason to believe that although a single S&S 4D coaster will be built in the chain next year, it won't be for this park. We will see in one week though.
  23. That could be a crane from ANY RMC,it doesn't necessarily mean it's our RMC!
