I can't wait to see that wave turn start to rise! Let's see it B&M! S H O W M E W H A T Y O U G O T ! -
All of our breakfasts were legendary. I realized that after Shinagawa, though, since I had used my time that morning to call home. The Prince Hotel set up looks fantastic! There was more to Tokyo Dome than I anticipated. Going into the area I thought it was just the space around Thunder Dolphin but they have a lot to work with and it's literally right next to the baseball stadium. I would have loved to have seen the area during one of the baseball games. (hey Joey) Thunder Dolphin was tied with Hollywood Dream for most safety conscious coaster on the trip. Those Intamin trains were SPOTLESS. It's so cool to have an Intamin mega coaster in the middle of the city and Back Daaan was a fun little coaster.

The GP will love it, it's better than an empty field, and I'm sure fans will be less upset when Anaconda leaves if they have a shiny new coaster that wasn't a hand-me-down. Please pull more of the crowd away from the flume, Drop Tower, Twisted Timbers, and the precious Apple I really wish they could make it something more like Falcon at Wuxi Sunac Land. These wing coasters seem to be better when they're bigger... and have a mountain to work with. -

With the TPR poll coming back to life, I'd love to know where everyone had Vortex at on their list and where they are rating it this year. Vortex was in the bottom quarter of 300 something coasters among Cannonball at Lake Winnie, Iron Dragon, the Gerstlauer spinners. -

I'm not an expert, but what about Back Daaan at Tokyo Dome? Is it unique enough to be added? I understand it's not really fast or tall, but it's sure as hell better than any boomerang or spinning mouse. -

When I was there, this girl working the entrance of Wicked Twister told someone Maverick was at the front of the park and then said "I'm not really sure though, this is my first day." So I politely told both of them where Maverick was (and that it was broken) and she explained she works in the summer at Waldameer, but was sorta drafted to work at CP for Halloweekends. They really seem to be looking for anyone and I mean anyone to work Halloweekends. Is it a logical thought that with everyone having Gold Passes next year Fast Lane will see less sales because people will simply come more often, instead of going all out for 1 visit? I hope so. Outside of Magnum and Gemini, you still have to wait 15-45 minutes for most of the coasters even with Fast Lane. -

The first drop in the back seat has some surprising airtime! It's not an element, but the sensation of speed at the bottom of the drop in the ravine between the zero g and the pretzel loop thing always catches me off gaurd. It's like, holy crap we shouldn't be going this fast on an invert! -

My goodness, the project is even bigger than I realized. That whole side of TDL will be much better when it opens up. I don't even think I realized there was more stuff to do past Pooh or past Space Mountain the first day of my visit. -
Making a quick weekend trip to San Jose for a friend's birthday and I was initially disappointed to see CGA wasn't operating normal hours on the weekend in December BUT they do have Winterfest going on and Railblazer, Goldstriker, Flight Deck are all open. Park is open 12/7 from 5p-10p If I get there for opening is it realistic to ride Railblazer, Goldstriker, and Flight deck in an hour? As much as I'd like to have more time I'm really just out in San Jose for 48 hours so I'm trying to check out the alluring coasters while not being a dick to my friends

The free-for-all death match doesn't even have anything to do with the single rider line - once everyone in groups 2 and 3 go through their turnstiles, there are no longer sanctioned lines and people gaggle up in front of the automatically opening door. Once the door opens, it's wide enough that people can go around each other and literally run to their desired row (though I recall the front is still blocked off) if they really want to. This sounds like the Black Mirror if theme parks. Seriously a nightmare brought to life. -
I really really enjoyed Takabisha much more than I anticipated so I'm very happy to have a clone of it in the States. Even riding it right after DoDoDonpa, the launch was great! There are so many inversions, but you can still enjoy each one. That's what I liked about the ride. There's even some airtime, too!

The pre-lift section on this coaster is SO good! In the front you get little pops of air and the drop out of the station in the backseat gives airtime, too. We rode first thing in the morning before park opening and it was already running soooo fast! What I enjoyed the most about this coaster were the inversions. I'm not a fan of slow barrel rolls and the one here is nice and whippy in every seat of the train. The zero g is taken at a perfect speed and really lets you get a nice weightless feeling while still being hugged comfortably in the train throughout. Hakugei serves up a variety of airtime which lets you experience the best of what RMC has to offer: -A stunning steep first drop -Double up -Sideways airtime -Double down -Upside down airtime -Sustained ejector -Quick hits of ejector There are even a few moments of laterals. Our ride in the rain had me keeping my eyes shut the whole time and that was certainly an experience. Surprise after surprise of unpredictable airtime, twists, and flips. If you ever get to visit Nagashima Spa land, I hope you get to ride in the rain because it's too much fun! The B&M trains on Steel Dragon were so nice. I really wish Cedar Point would make this work on Magnum. I know they could come up with a cool design resembling the old trains. Steel Dragon had a great set of airtime on the return trip and the first two hills surprised me with how much they had; even in the front seat. It's the longest coaster in the world and it really feels like it thanks to the unrelenting speed sustained throughout the course. Arashi was my first S&S free spin and man they really are wild. It was a fun experience but not something I had a desire to do more than once...which is exactly how I thought I'd feel, haha. FreeFall was supposed to be closed during our visit but opened up. I love those 1st gen Intamin drop rides. There's something uniquely terrifying about the car transferring over to the drop track and having nothing but a steel grate to look down at. Arcobat was a huge winner in my book and now I need to go ride Manta. Slow barrel rolls on flyers are my least favorite coaster element and I was so happy with the pace the inversions were taken on this ride. There was some airtime, too!

DoDoDonpa 100% lived up to the hype and the launch is unlike any other coaster element (airtime, zero g, lateral, etc) in that it is just best described as pure bliss. Following the launch the dip down provides a great pop of air and the loop pulls some serious g's at the bottom while giving some hangtime at the top. Since the trains use real tires it is bouncy at times so depending on your tolerance that will effect how much you like it. It's not a jackhammer by any means. Make the visit to ride it if you can you will not be disappointed! Also it shoots fire at night. -

And shockingly, you can still have fun on a crazy Saturday if you plan a little. -
Nope. It's just the technical side of it. Colder weather = train moves slower = trims don't have to brake as hard to keep the train's speed in check. Some people will **rave** about getting trimless rides on Diamondback but in reality it was a morning ride with a half empty train and the trims don't have to activate because the train is already going at the speed it was designed to be going at. Which sometimes can result in a little bit more airtime, but in general it's all the same. You just won't notice the sound or pull.

It was fun for sure! The shocker was how empty the SV queue was in the last hour. You could get 2-3 rides without fast lane and tons with FL. I don't know how crazier it will get closer to Halloween, though.
