  1. Wilder and faster than Twisted Timbers?! That's insane. Twisted Timbers is the most intense RMC in my opinion and I really liked it, but I thought that was about the limit of crazyness they could achieve. Stupid of me to think there is a limit on anything they do Great report!
  2. Vending machine ice cream sandwiches, delicious drinks and food with friends, Tokyo on a warm night in the rain... all makes for a memorable night. So fun to see this side of your trip!
  3. If you look at the webcam, you can see the transfer track is gone. Looks like they aren't wasting time figuring out what parts can be used vs scrapped.
  4. Man is it me or does it look even better as a screenshot within your phone?
  5. So you're telling me there's interest in products not done by RMC? You're crazy! We can't have anything different until every park has a RMC.
  6. It's all marketing bullsh*t and someone doesn't have their facts right, whatever. I think it's hilarious Intamin made both, and I'm sure BGW looked at Soaring with Dragon when getting the planning for Pantheon together.
  7. Axis seems like an opportunity for a lot of parks seeing how the footprint can be a small or wide as it needs to be. Fun stuff! Thanks for the photos!
  8. Looks like they're about half way done with the wave turn! Side note, Vortex is still standing.
  9. Another great chapter! Log Coaster / Cyclone looks like a ton of fun and any collection of HUSS rides to compliment the coasters is a great offering.
  10. The park's hotel by Marriott is now open. https://www.carowinds.com/stay/springhill-suites-by-marriott-charlotte-at-carowinds?fbclid=IwAR13zpmMiGYI1t4byS5bI-3HZYEcrtc2nYkDrLFIsnyI0U0VGERnoNqr7es
  11. Toverland is really seeing the benefits of years of hard work and great investments pay off. Happy to see the park doing so well! That flume looks legendary.
  12. Adam, great photos and description of that makes TDS so special. It really is a park that surprises and delights from the moment you enter. It's so cool to read reviews from people who have gotten to visit more than a couple times and hear that the experience never wavers.
  13. Ohhh let me get in on this. For me an invert is a must to try the front and back and typically I end up enjoying the front more for the view. Don't get me wrong I like the whip you can get down the first drop on Raptor, Afterburn, Banshee; but the 4 wide trains make a front row wait next to nothing so I'm all in on waiting for the front seat! Yeah, Banshee can really shake you up. It has some bad days and so does Diamondback. It's as if you're going through gravel. What is the because the trains are heavier? With Banshee's high speeds and positive g's you just feel it more?
  14. Echoing Adam this park has a really alluring line up and the Ghostbusters dark ride is icing the cake. The Colossus re-theme looks great! Glad to hear it's running so well after all the work they put into it. Wing coasters aren't my thing but damn, this one just looks badass. Really scrunched in there with some unique elements.
  15. The Halloween decorations at every park were so much fun and since Happy Halloween = Happy Halloween in Japanese it was a delight that everyone was saying that to each other Great report! Looks like a fun day! It's great to relive the parts I missed through the pics and stories. Can't wait for more!
  16. The melon flavored drinks, breads, treats were all done so well. They could easily end up being gross but leave it to Japan to perfect the flavor! Sega looks like a fun unique park, especially the coaster. Great start to the report, Adam! Thanks for taking the time to post everything.
  17. I remember walking to the back of the train. Sitting down. Getting my seat belt on and lap bar down. That took all of 90 seconds and in that time any light mist had turned into a visible downpour. Honestly riding with my eyes closed made me appreciate things I hadn't on previous rides - there's this awesome lateral kick in one of the turn arounds! The only split seconds of relief on the ride were the inversions Bless that top gun stall I wish there was a better shot of my unbuttoned shirt. Hakugei turned it into a cape after the first drop, haha. I have never had a roller coaster do that before. That's how fast this coaster is and how great the airtime is. It lifts you out of your seat and pulls your shirt back like you're Superman!
  18. Please promise us a photo trip report. Please.
  19. 1000000% I forgot about the antique cars on the National Roller Coaster day Along with some of the Cedar Fair videos that are actually funny and Kentucky Kingdom embracing the 'lol' persona it's a fun off season so far!
  20. Wave turn going up! So will the rise of complaints about the webcam not catching it as the construction goes off screen I understand people were upset about the camera not working and the whole situation about it being down was odd, but I'll gladly wait a day or two for the park to post some quality pictures on their socials.
  21. It was probably the sacrifice that got Orion's construction cam back up.
  22. It's generally a bad idea everywhere, but if that's the only way I can make it work, it'll have to do, but thanks for the warning. If that's how this is going to go I don't think there's much advice or help for this 'trip'. All advice is getting thrown aside, especially if you're just looking to credit run places like Dollywood and Knoebels. Sounds like you're just going to do what you want to do how you do it. This all sounds unhealthy and miserable. I'd recommend saving up a bit more and listening to what the other experts have to say in order to have a memorable and fun trip.
