  1. Oh man Log Coaster would be a great Flight of the Hippogriff! It better stick around if all of this news comes true.
  2. Big Hero 6 was so good! I'm glad it has its own ride there.
  3. Those are some pretty great musicians on that list! I'd be so taken back if I walked into Universal and saw Kool and the Gang playing
  4. They're doing it a second time in case you missed it earlier Taken a minute ago.
  5. It will be a good 2 days to visit though! Kids should still be in school. Not too hot.
  6. KI's Coaster Event, yes. I was talking about Media Day.
  7. I'm not very experienced with the tickets vs season pass vs member so I'll let someone else speak to that. You'll definitely need a Fast Pass and there's info about how that's tiered on the SF website. So I'd say go to Maxx Force first, pick your Fast Pass up on the way to Goliath and maybe do Whizzer on the way, then go to V2 and Dark Knight/Joker/pick your poison on slow moving lines. Don't miss the log flume or the rapids if you have any interest in either of the two rides.
  8. Don said ACE is the only invite too? You've gotta believe KI will cap how many people can come because you know ACErs will make a great migration for it not to mention the locals.
  9. No doubt! It was a walk on during my visit, too. Pepsi, Discount Signs & Banners, and Craven Cars. And RMC!
  10. It looks similar to Zadra for sure, just spread out a little more. I still can't figure out the layout and what's left to be completed either to see how it does differentiate itself from Zadra or Hakugei or Steel Vengeance. Although RMCs are so similar, I really feel like I can separate all that I've experienced. Only Storm Chaser at Kentucky Kingdom was the least memorable to me since it felt like it was just dropped in a cat's litter box across from a Pepsi factory Don't get me wrong Storm Chaser is fantastic, but to me it's less memorable than Twisted Timbers, Outlaw Run, or even Twisted Cyclone. I think RMC is getting better at emphasizing different elements and not just relying on reverse banking or sideways airtime hills. Hakugei stood out to me because of the inversions, first drop/pre drop, pre lift, and mix of laterals. Twisted Cyclone seemed to get faster and more intense as the ride went on. Twisted Timbers is just an insane airtime buffet.
  11. Don said it's supposed to be done by the end of the week. I bet they'll make a big deal out of it on Friday. It's supposed to stay dry in Cincy all week so I'm sure they'll have it finished. We'll definitely know when it starts testing due to how many people are following it and there are great views from the Great Wolf parking lot behind Banshee/Bat.
  12. How about sharing some YouTube videos?
  13. Friday and the weekend seems like a great time for more TPR users to fill this out
  14. Such great, accurate, story telling bert! That was such a fun improvised day. I definitely need to revisit San Antonio now. Osaka and Himeji made for a fantastic combo, but I will for sure reserve more time for Osaka proper next visit! Can't wait for your next update.
  15. Damnit I was hoping no news is good news, haha.
  16. With all of the focus on Gwazi and Montu and Kumba I've really forgotten about Falcon's Fury. Is it pretty reliable? How are the wait times?
  17. Great write up! It definitely sounds like it'll be my favorite at the resort, too. I haven't been keeping up with how it's doing now since I don't have a trip planned but yikes I hope Universal has learned its lesson. I really hope those who had an awful experience choose to go to another park because that type of experience would frustrate me as well.
  18. The long stall will be... who knows until it's open! Thanks for the report Chuck!
  19. IF they build a flume in that site I'd be all for it. A little theme about a touring company giving tree-top guides to get a peek at the Beast (Since you can see the tops of the lift hills) before a big plunge. Similar to the original flume before Tomb Raider, Kenton's Keelboat Canal.
  20. I have no doubts they are documenting everything. *movie trailer voice* Coming to FUN TV at your favorite Cedar Fair park.... Vortex, the documentary. How else will they entertain everyone waiting in the 5 hour Orion line opening day weekend?
  21. Initial thoughts: This is cool. Wait, is this just an energy efficient new model of Superman (SFMM)/Tower of Terror (Dreamworld) Intamin Reverse Freefall coaster?
  22. This is a good thing, to be honest. That whole area is bottlenecked so badly. If they are going to expand past Vortex/around Racer's turn around it needed to go. I can't imagine how much work that building needed, too. It's been around for almost 50 years. Also it's reported that the helix is being removed right now. You can kinda see some work being on on the Dback cam. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/explore/live-video Credit to reddit and then esmebeauty on reddit for a shot from Diamondback.
  23. Yeah, I could totally see them doing that. It's encouraging they've tested it with humans.
  24. So far it looks like Nick Universe keeps saying 'check our daily operations page' for updates on Sandy. Looks like I'm going to visit in 3 weeks so hopefully we'll have an update by then. Even without it, looks like there's plenty to do. Really excited to ride Takabisha 2.0!
