  1. This image just prooves how us Brits are serious about sex too. Notice on the left hand machine, it also sells Nurofen pain killer tablets, So when you buy your condoms, you wont have an excuse to say "Not tonight love - I gotta headache"
  2. I voted for the 'twins' - for the only reason being I got so many go's on them both, compared to the other coasters there. I was able to get many cross-platform go's from one side to another. T2 is just awful - almost as bad as El Condor Greezed Lightin' was a bit of a disappointment to be very honest, I think everyone in our 'group' enjoyed it, but some of us felt that the launch was weak compared to say Turbine. Thunder Run was a surprise - I wasn’t sure what to expect from it, but the queue line was pretty long, so we were only 1 ride on it. Chang is better than Mantis IMO, but I've never been a fan of stand-up coasters anyways. The other coasters were o-kay
  3. Hey Robb - great photo trip report, I personally dont drink coffee, but if I ever needed to, I won't follow your instructions if you dont mind ... Have you got your Robbie Williams CD's with you? 'Knutford City Limits' would be ideal around now Enjoy rest of your trip
  4. I'm affraid to say you are wrong, I personally know of 1 other version, which I've been on. It's called Speedy and is at a little park called CentrO Park, it's not too far from Movie World Germany. A couple of my pics I do agree, they are far better than the Reverchon/Zamperla type. Paul 'Looking forward to rest of the Trip Report' Chapman
  5. It sure is Toby I will *never* forget that ride on Nemesis.. I rarely get the 'adrenaline rush' from coasters these days, but that 1 go on Nemesis in the dark whilst in heavy rain gave me that 'rush'. BTW the last coaster to give me an 'adrenaline rush' was my first ever go on TTD and only because we were all thinking/hoping we were going to get a roll back
  6. Sorry to hear about the six weeks more of winter. But remember .... "Don't drive angry" Best line ever!
  7. I rode Nemesis for the first time a week or so after it opened, way back in 1994!. The last time I rode Nemesis was last November & it was just as good as the first time I went on it. It's still a world top 10 coaster, in my opinion. I personally 'rate' a few coasters more these days, but it still holds a special place for me. Riding Nemesis in the dark, whilst in pouring rain is a coaster experiance that cannot be beaten
  8. American Adventure *used* to be a great little park. Shame the log flume is being torn down, if you are correct there. It was one of the Uk's best flumes I always thought. Runaway Train is quite good for a powered coaster, better than some of the mack coasters. Twin Looper is made by Soquet - that kinda says it all really, quite painful. Becoming a 'family park' might be the only way the park can survive? I think they were in financial problems at one time & the owner even threatened to close the park & turn it into a caravan park. Why would six flags buy it? When they are selling there own parks! The Boomerang is rumoured to be going to Pleasurewood Hills
  9. Oh that's a real shame! It's become Europe's version of Drachen Fire
  10. I think personally someone has been very creative with photo-chop & that Ferrari X-car is 'non official'. I know it's an artists impression anyway but theres just something 'wrong' with it. I love F1 & Ferrari, So I'll be going for sure if it ever happens
  11. No problems - what so ever downloading the video. Pretty fast download rate too
  12. That Family Guy clip rocks!!! I've not seen that before
  13. Just watched the video, very good indeed. I really enjoyed it. Paul 'Looking forward to my trip to Copenhagen in April' Chapman
  14. I'm sure some of you have seen this before, but this thread about 'farts' reminded me of this. Click on the link below & select the download button towards the bottom the page. {Sorry about the advert intensive page - this was the only site I could find it on} http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/17661/ Paul 'So that's why the dinosaurs became extinct' Chapman
  15. Irn Bru is a soft drink - never tried it myself... I think it could be Scotland's version of Beverly !!
  16. If I had to choose between Drayton Manor or Alton Towers, it would be the 'Towers' everytime... If you want a change of scenery etc, then do a day at each park. Apocalypse & Maelstrom are really great rides at Drayton, however Alton Towers beats them with the quality & choice of coasters they have.
  17. Hi Dave, Rather than recommending parks to you, I'd thought I mention the parks in Europe that I & my mates have visited travelling via Public Transport. Parc Asterix - Paris - Buses go from CDG airport to the Park Six Flags Holland / Wallibi World - You can get a bus to the park form 2 different train stations. WBMW Madrid - Get a train to Madrid city centre to St Martin de la vega (or something like that), the park is a small walk away. Parque de Atracciones Madrid - can get there by the Madrid Metro Port Adventura, Mirabilandia, Tivoli Gardens, Liseberg, Efteling are some of the other parks we've visited travelling there by Public Transport, if you need more details or advice - let me know. Paul
  18. That's your opinion & far enough .. I'm not arguing with your comments. But below are my opinions. Stealth is a better name than Humdinger any day ,but does fit around the theming of the area it's situated in & it's great looking colour scheme. You say it yourself - Stealth is a smaller copy of a existing coaster - in my view that's a wasted opportunity ! When with a little foresight they could have had something like Storm Runner, Superman at WBMW Australia or even Speed monster I've been on TTD and loved it, I'm sure I'll like Stealth too & will ride it many times over the years to come Paul 'Sorry just not over excited about this coaster' Chapman
  19. I Totally agree with you there, except for the name. It's better than some coaster names IMHO Paul ' At least it was'nt called humdinger!' Chapman
  20. Thank heavens it's not Humdinger.. How long did it take the park to decide on that name - blinking ages I like the name, but I think it won't go with theming (what there is of it) & the surrounding 'Amity Cove' area
  21. I can think of one more Schwarzkopf shuttle loop and thats Golden Loop http://www.rcdb.com/id1168.htm RCDB states the coaster to be SBNO, as it was going through maintenance. Checking the parks website in the past it did mentioned that this coaster was closed, but there website now states it be open Robb, this coaster was once at PCW, so you mau if had it there
  22. Some UNsuprising results too Goudurix last Not enough people riding Jubilee Odyssey
  23. Guy's, really enjoying all the trip reports & photos as always. I really hope Kobe Portopialand is not closing, as BMRX is one of my 'most wanted' coasters. Be sad see more Schwarzkopf's going
  24. I could be very wrong here, but I think you will find WBMW Madrid to be closed. When I went to Madrid last month for Parque de Atracciones, I checked online & WBMW was shut..
