3 things to mention * Looks like half of North England was at Bottons * Jubilee Odyssey - what a piece of cr@p , as it completed a circuit at all this year ? * OMG , the Huss Condor is going at Pleasure Island, I love those rides. Do you know if staying for the rest of this season ?

I agree Chris, I just didn't like it & couldn't understand why it so popular. Mind you if we all liked the same coasters, the world would be pretty boring.

I think & i'm pretty sure I'm correct here, it's just for extra weight. As it's the tallest? B&M inverted, it would'nt make the circuit with out it.

I take it you are talking about Thorpe Park? I think you comment is unfounded , personally I've always found Thorpe Park to be one of the best managed & one of the best park for maintaining it's rides wthin the UK.

I visited Thorpe the day after your (Saturday 8th) & your reports sound similar. I'm not sure exactly what time Stealth opened ( Was too busy riding Nemesis Inferno & Slammer ) but it must of been around 11 AM before it opened. I headed over to it about 11:20 and heard an announcement being made saying something in the nature of "If Slealth roll's back it very safe etc etc" , So I assumed it had just rolled back. This was confirmed to me as I heard other people in the queue line mention roll backs. At various times of the day, I looked across to Stealth & there was 'no signs of life'. I headed back to Stealth late afternoon for a couple of more go's on Stealth before heading home. The First on the go's was fine, on the second occasion, I boarded the train, sitting in the second car from the front, The launch sequence started .. got the green lights & the "GO GO GO" ... then nothing .... 10 minutes or so later, the ride op's had to manually release our restraints & we were then told to take our positions back behind the air gates. After some 25 mins & some strange moving of the two trains (The second train was moved back from the unloading station back to the final set of brakes & the train I was stuck on was moved back to the unloading station) & a couple of test launches I got my go. Personally I'm not too! bothered if it keeps breaking down, I guess or hope it's initial part of it's running in phase ? If I had waiting over an hour for Stealth like some folk had on Saturday, I would of been pretty P'ed off with it when it broke down too. If in 5 years time it still breaking down I wont be so passe about the break downs. Regarding Collossus, totally agree! what happened to it, Only had 1 go on it and that was enough rough! I've been on smoother Vekoma's ! Samurai was shut on Saturday, The 'Rapids' didn't open till around 11 too. Paul "I hope Storm Runner doesn't have all these problems" Chapman

I'm sorry to hear you guys had a poor time at Parque de Atracciones, I had a similar experience when I went last November. My PTR is here I got 'caught out' by the late opening of rides too & the 20 riders needed on Tornado. On second day of my trip (A Sunday) I was not able to get on Tornado until 5 PM or so. The dark ride next to Tarantula, was torn down for Tarantula ( I guess you knew that already ) I got to say this & being polite as I can here, All parks in Spain I have been too are 'pretty poor' & very relaxed in there ride operations. Like me I think you guys enjoyed the park, it was just let down by some poor operations !? At least it was warmer for you, When I went there it snowed ! Hope the rest of your Spain get better Paul

I'm glad you guys enjoyed Cobra. I agree it's not as intense as the one in Klotten, but for a family ride it's pretty good. Did you guy's try the maze? Shame Stealth was shut. Considering originally it was planned to be down just for 2 days at the start of last week, they are not doing very well Paul 'Are you off to get another new Intamin coaster ?' Chapman

I'd have to go for Thorpe Park, Prior to the Tussauds Group taking over the park in 1999, the park was going no where. The parks signature ride until then was X - No way out ! It just over 5 years the park has gained Collossus, Nemesis Inferno, Stealth, Slammer, Rush, Vortex to name but a few.

Yesterday - Rita: QOS at Alton Towers

Botton's rocks WOO HOO !! - at least they have there coasters open unlike Fantasy Island I certainly did not vote for Bottons, It was a tough choice but I voted for Blackpool Pleasure Beach. As much as I like Alton Towers etc, you cant beat Blackpool 'Overall'. Some quality Coasters, It's history etc
